I'm afraid I couldn't locate the poll.

But I *do* like your wallpaper.

;) Oh, thanks for the comment! I love Mojo Jojo! Look under my newsboard on the site and look for the PPG movie poll headline. Click it. Then move over to the right of the message once the screen comes up and you'll find the quiz.

If that doesn't work, maybe your browser doesn't support IFRAME. Then you'll have to click on this URL:
http://www.chartcom.net/board/mojos_site.shtml
After that look for the headline "PPG MOVIE POLL! (written like that)
Then once the page loads, look to the right and you should see the quiz.

Yokay; I found it that time. And voted accordingly.

I'm rather partial to Mojo, too. :D

Even though I'm a guy, I just have to say that the AWSM team was being incredibly sexist. I'm glad that the PPG proved that not only men can kick ass.

Great Episode! I saw this on Kids WB. But I really wanted to see it again.

Birdman

and

Space Ghost
were in there to!

There was even Major Glory's Enemy in the crowd. And he was a villian in Dexter.

Even Kitty Bobo on the Pyramid!
5/5 stars!

The show is running out of ideas if you can't tell!!!

There's no doubt about it, the male heroes' behavior was sexist and discriminatory. However, it seems the creators were setting up straw men* here, chauvinist pigs to force a "girl power" message, not to mention a girls-are-superior-to-men message, rather than the equality message I'd've prefered, personally. It was assumed PPG wasn't about such propagandized stuff (any more than the blatantly UN-feminist stuff in the song WB forced on the movie); that the girls just being female heroes saving the day was the message that worked. BTW, the Mayor/Miss (Ms.?) Cerebelum thingy never bothered me since I saw it more as the dopey politician with smarter help (i.e. Jerry Ford, Dan Quayle, Pres. W), fwiw.

That's how felt about that episode as well mibbitmaker.

IT's like all they tried to do is say girls are superior too men in that episode.

That wasn't the point, I assure you. It was just another play on the topic of sexism. You should see the episode Equal Fights for another take on it.

5 stars for another great episode. This show just keeps getting better with age.

i saw this episode the first time on Kids Wb But the quality of the episode is better because it on good ol cable and not broadcast. This episode seemed like a parody of Hanna Barberas Superfriends with superheroes with stupid names and sterotypical weapons and costumes This was a good episode

Lol! Oh boy, i caught that HUUGE innuendo. hehe. The more they attack the monster, the harder the monster becomes, and when the girls come, the monster blasts off like a rocket. hehe. X_X.. Geez, what an innuendo. How do they get these things passed the censors?

Good episode. I liked the intro to the summit where every word was emphasized followed by the crashing of 2000. I noticed Space Ghost in the back and that was all. Nothing bad to say about it.

This show gets better and better. I really hope they put out more DVD's because then I will start buying them (I'll buy them anyway but I'll buy them faster if they put out more).

Anubis, I don't believe that there is any innuendo to that reference...

The Furious Fiery Feline was previously seen in "Cat-astrophe". Genndy and Craig are fans of old 70's and 80's anime, such as Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Grendizer, Robotech, Voltes V, Voltron, and Gatchaman, a.k.a. Battle of the Planets, a.k.a. G-Force. In Gatchaman, the team would get into their ship and make it travel at such a speed that it would form the "Fiery Phoenix" to vanquish whatever evil robot would be terrorizing the world. The similarities to both are unmistakeable.

Just in case you didn't know.

My god! The hairy armpits, the all to obvious alien erections! XD; This episode was okay but I think I got enough of the girl power message in Equal Fights, which I thought was a much better episode. In Equal Fights the message was delivered in more of a comedic way, this was just too blatant for my tastes. Plus the animation went off-model waaaaay to much! 3/5 Stars

I never thought I'd see the day when a guy had a bigger chin than Major Glory :P Or bigger ego  What the AWSM members said after Big Ben, E-male, and Major Glory were defeated were funny: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Unconscious States of America". Am I the only one that saw that Down Under Man's shirt said "DUM"? I know its the acronym, but still....and I'm REALLY glad the PPG showed the AWSM members a thing or two about what females can do! LoL, that brings up one of the best sequences in the episode (from PPGWorld.com):

Major Glory: Look. There are certain roles for men and certain roles for women, right? Now let’s take your family, for example. Who goes to work and brings home the paycheck?
Girls: Our dad.
Major Glory: Right! Who pays the rent and puts the bread on the table?
Girls: Our dad.
Major Glory: Bingo! And who cooks the meals?
Girls: Our dad.
Major Glory: (now a bit irritated) Who does the laundry?
Girls: Dad.
Major Glory: Who washes the dishes?
Girls: Dad.
Big Ben: Who scrubs the loo?
Girls: Dad.
Yahmon: Who bakes the cakes?
Girls: Dad.
Major Glory: Then who mows the lawn and washes the car?
Blossom, Buttercup: Bubbles.
Major Glory: So what does your mother do?
Girls: We don’t have a mother.

Lovely sequence :D

I also loved the little parts with Major Glory messing up the names of the girls, especially "Butterdish" for some reason.

Overall: 4/5, since that last image was a bit disturbing oO;

What I liked best about this ep was the high density of jokes, particularly the opening tableau of 'typical' Townsville, the Superhero names and costumes, and the jeers heaped upon the defeated Supermen. And Major Glory's "Buy my action figure, kids!" (he's the champion of Capitalism, after all.)

Anyone else notice the AWSM assembly included Spoor, Space Ghost, and Birdman? (Spoor was the Spawnesque comic-book character that Buttercup mimiced in 'Super Zeros.') But I rather wish they'd explained Monkey's absence- maybe being able to talk Human is a prerequisite for participation.

I usually don't catch CCF, but I did see this episode, and it was funny. I looked past the girl power message and instead just looked for the humor.

As far as the innuendos and sexism go, how in blazes did they get away with this on Kids WB?! I know my little sister watched this ep, too. Whoa...

Later.

Well, he is a super monkey, not a super man. :p Maybe he was excluded like the PPGs and didn't bother trying to enter, or couldn't win the challenges.

I missed Spore but I did manage to see Birdman and Space Ghost. :) It's too bad that we didn't get to see Krunk, since he was too dumb to get in the club.

> and where was krunk?darnit <

Buttercup made a remark to the effect that Krunk doesn't attend these sumit meetings 'cause he's too dumb to participate much.

> How do they get these things passed the censors? <

Probably because the innuendos were so indirect, only a grown-up would be likely to catch 'em.

> I really enjoyed this ep. Even though it scream "Women are sUPERIOR to men". <

Oh, I don't think it screamed that. The PPGs were more effective against that particular villain because he was was siphoning his power off of the Supermen's 'manliness', but couldn't get any such refueling from little girls. The message there is not "Females are better"; it's "Everybody should be given a chance to contribute what they can."

And yes, that message is a bit obvious, but I can forgive it when it's presented amidst so many good jokes.

I think I can answer the Krunk and Monkey questions, simple! For Krunk, did you notice how all the men were intelligent on the ASWM, Krunk can only speak broken English, he's just too stupid! As for monkey, he's not a man! XD;

I know the flaming cat is just an innocuous attack move. :) It's what the cat was doing to the monster that was...odd. That, and the manhood references. Help.

I liked this episode. It was nice to see Major Glory and Val Halen again, though they changed the front of his suit. Too bad they didn't make the Justice Friends a separate cartoon cartoon a while back when it was showing with dexter. They could still do it, and just change the name of the show so people wouldn't get it confused with Justice League. This is just my wishful thinking... ;)

Actually , you can see a version of Monkey in this episode (check out who's sitting on one of the Easter Island statues during Bubbles race with E-Mail.

As for the innuendo, subtle and not, I think the CN censors (or BS&P people) have wised up to the fact that most adult-oriented humor can, and does, fly over most young kids' heads. This doesn't explain how this got past the Kids WB gestapo... unless Mascumax's booming voice effect made it a little hard for them to hear what Clancy Brown was saying.

I've probably opened up a whole can of worms here. But it should make interesting discussion.

Actually (and anyone who has ever owned a cat knows this), what the cat was doing to Mascumax was very typical of a cat showing affection. I suppose the real odd thing about it is that the cat is supposed to be "Ferocious" -- but then, that's the joke.

More like a nod to Batman, based on the Tick's "Die Flaudermaus."
