My friend just had his first baby last night and amoung my hometown friends of heroes, vagabonds, and adventurers that I grew up with, he's the first to bring forth the next generation of us.

It's weird... I used to compete with this guy on who had the better ninja.

Finally we had it out.

Something that never happens in D&D.

Two characters go head to head. My dark elf ninja vs his fighter/mage with his bag o' ten thousand magic tricks.

And in the end, it came utterly down to the last strike. Perfect samurai finish and it all depended on who hit first.

Our skilled warriors had each run out of magic tricks and it came down to the sword. I tell ya it couldn't have been written more perfectly, but that's what the dice deemed.

D10 in hand, we through down our dice..... our charcters bright blades flashed, inscribing the final arc on all tomarrows........

.....I beat him by one point.

Our characters landed, but as mine kept his poise, Jim's fell in the dust.

It we epic amoung my friends and I, and I thought about the Batman vs Superman fight. My character went to his and raised him up by the scruff of his shirt.... "I want you to remember this Edrick.... the only man to ever defeat you..... was me."

My katana went up, and the game ended, our characters zapped back to whatever realm we were in before.

And now he's a father!

Please, all..... gaze upon the cutest lil' tike in the realm... Halee (http://home.wi.rr.com/jiml/).

Heh... if the subject ever comes up infront of her tho, I'll tell her her daddy beat me.... no contest. ;)

Oh my god, 17 hours! You can actually see the 17 hours in the mother's face too...she needs a BIG congratulations.

Heck, they BOTH need a big congratualtions. It takes two to produce a beautiful baby like that. :)

And D&D sounds like a good game, I should play it one day...

Well, Barb and other D&D fans, as you'll prolly know our characters were being used for a long time and by then had gained so much stuff and levels that I think we'd each crossed over into being illegal.

I can't remember what he was throwing at me out of his ten thousand rings of butt stopping, but I was slinging out my sword of "Meteor Swarm" and Katana of Shadow Stuff n' Junk that his guy Edrick was basically dodging meteors, slaying shadow beasts and taking on my fast dark elf ninja with Ogre Strength bracers.

If you play the game you know this is just absurdly funny stuff.

But finally all our weapons last their characters and I made some questionable saving throws dodging his flaming hellfire that by some rules should've killed me.... maybe, but whatever. It was all in fun.

Just remeber Jim... when you read this I beat you!!!

But don't worry, bro... Haylee will never know.

Thanks in advance from my guy, Jim, for all the congratulations. I can't wait to see his lil' bundle of StuffnJunk this weekend! :D
