... just aired on the Acme Hour. I think that was the first time I've seen the "dubbed version" of that one. It was previously one of the few pre-48s to still air on CN with an a.a.p. opening.

That's bad news... if they still have the need to introduce new dubbed versions. Well, at least it already had fake titles (Blue Ribbon).

What took 'em so long?

The dubbed verison looked like they used two different negatives, and switched when there were scratches on the image of the first neg as Red and the Wolf were fighting in the corner. It also used the (aburptly) wrong end title music.

The wrong title card I can understand, but the wrong music???
From when did they use music, 1939/40?

The end music was from the post-1941 MM, which CN has added to several of the pre-1941 dubbed cartoons.
Also, I wasn't paying close attention at the beginning of the cartoon, but I thought I heard an edit near the start of the cartoon, though I can't figure out what they would have though was worth cutting out (guess I'll have to tape the overnight rerun to find out).

After seeing "Little Red Walking Hood" four previous times with the A.A.P. logo during this year 2001, including on the Sunday, July 1 four-hour morning telecast of "Looney Tunes", I was quite surprised to see the new "dubbed version" of this cartoon during "The Acme Hour" on Saturday, August 11. Just like recently done with the closing of "A Feud There Was", the post-1941 rendition of the Merrie Melodies theme is now heard on its soundtrack as well.
So another A.A.P. logo bites the dust again, so to speak of, but it took a long time to do it as such on "Little Red Walking Hood". However, during the four-hour "Looney Tunes" morning telecast for that same latter date mentioned above, "A Pest In The House" was played still with that legendary trademark opening card.

Which are the cartoons left with A.A.P. openings?

Detouring America
A Pest In the House
House-Hunting Mice
Hare-Brained Hypnotist
Hollywood Steps Out
A Star Is Hatched
Nasty Quacks
Let It Be Me
Dangerous Dan McFoo
Sports Chumpions
Malibu Beach Party
A Pest in the House, Nasty Quacks, and Hare-Brained Hypnotist will probably be next, given that they star major characters.

"The Sneezing Weasel" and "Into Your Dance" also air with a.a.p openings when shown on Cartoon Network.

Don't count on "Into Your Dance" airing again. I'm surprised CN even aired it uncut. Also, the first late-night ACME HOUR had a washed out copy of "Russian Rhapsody", with the AAP logo.

Dangerous Dan McFoo was a dubbed version when CN last aired it.
