This RPG will be based on the Cartoon Network Justice League series, currently running. So, begin the RPG!

If anyone would be kind enough to provide me with a character roster, I can update the Characters Taken list.

Are heroes limited to the JL roster? I was thinking about joining the RPG as a Green Lantern like Hal or Kyle.

thread's been open for almost 3 weeks, and there isn't a single IC post. Is there some sorta stalling going on here?

If there aren't any new IC posts within a week, this RPG will be deleted--AGAIN.

Okay, here's the charecter list:

Me: Batman, The Joker.
Justice League Dude: Superman, Darkseid.
Trent Lane: Martian Manhunter.
Batgirl_2005: Wonder Woman.

Charecters we still need:

The Flash
Green Lantern
Hawkgirl

I was under the impression that we needed five players to start.

Barb Gordon

I wouldn't mind taking Flash, if there are no objections. And yes, you are correct Clark, there should have been a set five people for this RPG from the beginning...but if my addition is correct, there are five people now, so we can start!

Okay! We have five players, and I'm taking the inititive on starting, if nobody minds.

Batman:

7:45 AM

I drive the Batmobile through Gotham Square. I'm pretty sure something big is going to happen soon. Ever since Joker escaped from Arkham, I've been watching Gotham even closer, since Joker may try to re-connect with the Injustice Gang. I know I shouldn't be patrolling in the day, because they'll ask me where I was when I get back to the office, but the looking for Joker the Injustice Gang comes first. Suddenly, I get a call on the videophone. J'onn's image appears.
"What is it?" I ask. "I've got a psycho-pathic clown to catch."
"That's why I'm calling." J'onn replies. "Superman's calling a meeting."
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes."
"Shall I send the shuttle?"
"No. I want to try out the space enhancements on the Batwing."
The videophone clicks off. I sigh and turn the Batmobile around, heading back to the Batcave.

IC: The Flash

7:52AM

Something's buzzing in my room. Could be a fly, maybe the fire alarm, or maybe something on tv. I roll over and bury my head under my pillow. Continuing to ignore the ever louder sound I roll over again, and off my bed. I land in a heap on the floor, one leg still slung over on the bed and a pillow in my face. I hate it when this happens. I snatch the pillow and throw it to the side, trying to remove myself from the tangle of sheets. I finally decide to pay heed to the buzzing since it's what woke me up. Oh. Justice League comlink....wonderful. I scramble over to it, turning it on and heaving a sigh as I lean against the side of my bed.
" 'Ello."
Good thing for me it's J'onn. Anyone else and they would have been peeved for my delayed response.
"Superman is calling a meeting and needs you up at the Tower."
The green alien frowns, well, more then normally.
"Are you on the floor?"
I blink, suddenly aware that besides being on the floor, I'm covered in bed sheets....and that's about it. I grin,
"Uh yeah. Had a...uh...late night, fell off the bed this morning when I woke up."
he says nothing.
"okay then....so how soon do you need me by?"
"15 minutes would preferred. Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl are on their way over. You'll all be taking the shuttle up."
"Sure thing, later."
I click off just as the doorbell rings. I scramble to my feet, and make my way to the door, peering through the peep-hole.
"Morning sunshine!"
I call through the door when I see GL's scowling face.
"Come on Flash, hurry up."
He replies. I unlock the door, swinging it open. Suddenly I realize that Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman are right behind them...I swear they just popped up out of nowhere! Wonder Woman's eyes go wide while Hawkgirl raises an eyebrow. I blush.
"If you're hungry, the kitchen's to your left. I'll just be a sec....seriously."
I "jog" to the bathroom, take a shower, brush my teeth, tidy up my hair, shave. Then I make my over to my closet, throw my outfit in a duffle back and pull on a pair of jeans, a white t shirt and tennis shoes. Why get in costume now? Not like it'd take me long to change. With that all done I make my bed, grab the duffle bag and slow down. During all that the three of them were able to get into the room, close the door and....well, that was about it.
"Sorry I took so long!"
I say with a smile, grabbing my keys and opening the door.
"So, whose driving?"

"All members have been contacted, Superman," I call over the comm link.

"Good, I'll be there shortly," he replied. I went to the meeting room and sat down, waiting for the rest of them to arrive. Suddenly, a sharp pain runs through my head. People screaming, pyschotic laughter, and gunfire echo in my head. The intensity of the pain and noise keeps me from noticing the League arriving.

"J'onn, what's wrong?" Batman asks, coming to my aid.

"I'm not sure," I reply. "But something is definetly very wrong..."

OOC: It's a start, I guess the ball's in Superman's court now...

8:04 AM

Batman:

"Did you have a vision?" I ask J'onn, helping him up.
"No." J'onn replies. "But I heard gunfire, people screaming, and psychotic laughter."
"Joker." I say though clenched teeth.

The Joker:

I burst into the Computer Store and start shooting.
I laugh. "HAHAHAHAHA!!!" I gesture to Mo, Lar and Cur.
"Grab the cash and let's go!"

Attention all JLAS player:

sooooo....what goes on here? This thread has been absolutely completely dead for approx. 2 months. We have some players that never even made their first post! Come on people, that's a bit ridiculous don't you think? You said you wanted to be in this RPG, don't say that and then never participate, it ruins the whole enjoyment of RPG's. That said, this thread had one week, I'm giving to the end of Sunday night, for this to start living again. One, two posts isn't going to cut it. I want to see everyone, including myself, posting this week, or I will remove this thread.

Hi there! Glad to have you at the boards. I'm sorry but at the moment I'm not taking any new characters for this particular RPG because it has a possibility of being removed if the original players don't all begin participating again. Also, I've already had someone else request to be Hawkgirl a few days back, sorry. Finally, if you have any questions concerning the RPG's, especially about what characters are available, please direct those comments to me or one of the other RPG Mods through PM.

Okay, seeing as I don't want this RPG to die, I'm going on. We'll see how this goes....

"We need to act quickly," I say, standing up. "His victims can't last his tortures too much longer."

"I agree," Superman said, walking into the room. "Batman, you, myself, and J'onn will go. Flash, you and Wonder Woman stand by in case we need you."

"Enough chat, let's get to the Javelin now," Batman said leading the way.

We walked on boeard not saying a word. I looked at Batman as he strapped in. "Any idea as to what the Joker has in store?"

"With the Joker, you never know," he replied. "We'll see in about ten minutes."

"I hope there's still a chance in that time," I answer, still sensing the pain of the people in Gotham.

PS- Hey, Barb, is it cool if I pick up Weather Wizard and Solomon Grundy? Something to give this storyline a jumpstart...

Barb Gordon

Solomon Grundy sits looking at the chains wrapped around his legs wondering how he got into this cage. The gaurd tapped on his door and slid a meal through to him. He wasn't hungry. He threw the potatoes against the door, creating a white streak down it. Then another group of white things started hitting the door, entering the room through the window. Snow? Grundy thought to himself. In July? Suddenly a burst of air knocked the wall apart. A piece of debris broke the chains holding Grundy together. The guard entered the room, gun drawn. Grundy crushed it in his hands and tossed the guard aside. He started to step into the hallway when he heard a voice behind him.

"You could take the easy way out," Weaher Wizard said, pointing out the wall. "Especially after all the trouble I went through to put this break-out together."

"Why you break Grundy out?" he uttered back.

"Because, you can help me," he replied. "You're the brawn, and I'm the brains. I've got big plans. You do want to get back at the Justice League, right?"

"Yeah," Grundy grunted.

"Good. Come with me."

They took off in a swirl of wind to get ready for their assault on the Justice League...

"Aw come on."
I grumbled as the others took off. I then realized who was still with me and I grinned. Screw that, I mean, sure I'm left alone with an .....incredibly.......hot.....woman, but why did we have to get stuck staying here?!
"Heading for the fridge, want anything?"
Wonder Woman shakes her head.
"No thank you....you certainly do eat a lot."
She said after a slight pause. I grin.
"Eh, fast metabolism..and that's probably an understatement. Because I run so fast, I burn off all I eat, so basically I can eat loads of stuff and never have to worry about it."
She nods.
"Very interesting."
I shrug,
"Be back in a f--"
she steps back in surprise as I stop back in front of her before even finishing the phrase, two sodas tucked under one arm, and about five sandwiches in one hand.
"Sure you don't want a soda?"
I ask before scarfing down two of the sandwiches. She finally relents and accepts the soda I hand her. Suddenly a small persistant beeping comes from one of the panels.
"Looks like a break-in."
I say through a mouthful of food, Wonder Woman looks at me a bit disgusted and I quickly swallow.
"Guess we should go check it out, huh?"
I ask, a grin spreading across my face as she nods.
"I'm flying."
I put in before draining the rest of my soda. Perhaps things wont be as dull as I thought.

"Heading for the fridge, want anything?" Flash asks.

I look at him and shake my head. I'm thirsty but I would rather have an amazon delicacy than something from the fridge here.

"No thank you. You certainly do eat a lot." I told him. He responds with something about fast metabolism and burning off everything.

He leaves in the middle of his phrase and is back before he even finishes it. I step back in surprise. He offers me a soda an d I give in.

I do love these sodas. They're... bubbly.

By the gods... the Flash must be the most disguting man. Nothing in the way of manners at all.

The beeping tells us that there's a break in. Flash tells me that he's flying and I nod. We take off and soon land on the scene

We've only had three players post. Because Trent doesn't want to see this RPG die, nor do I, I'm letting it go one more week. Unless there's full participation, it's dead. I might consider letting some new players join, in the hopes that they will help keep the story going, but I have yet to decide on that point. And please direct all questions to the mods via PM, especially regarding wanting to join an RPG. I will be PM'ing all current players today with some reminders.

I moved quickly around my lab, or what I call a lab anyway. Grundy stood in one place, looking as if he knew not what to do. "Grundy," I asked, "could you give me a hand here?"

"With what?" he grunted.

"I need you to hold something for me," I relpied. He moved to my side and I placed a capsule in his hand. "Squeeze it." He made a fist, trying to crush it.

"AAARRGGHHH!!!" Electricity flew threw his body, stopping after a few seconds.

"Hmmm, I'll need to work on it a bit, but what do you think?" I asked Grundy.

"Think of what?" he asked, still a bit dazed.

"My lightning in a pill, of cousre!" I shouted. "It's the first in a series of weapons I've developed to use against the League. Even Luthor's plans don't come close to mine, it's bullet proof."

"That's what Luthor said," Grundy replied.

"Luthor's overconfident, cocky- I'm not," I replied with a smile. I threw a bag to him. "Let's get ready to take down our first victims. I've created a few tidal waves to put Metropolis under water. That should get Superman's attention. Let's go" We got into my hovercraft and took off for Metropolis...

As we enter the Earth's atmosphere, I glance over at Bruce, who seems deep in thought...and a little upset.

"I'm sorry the meeting pulled you away from your pursuit of The Joker. Had I known you were that busy, I wouldn't have called for you."

"Forget it. The main priority is to rescue those people, while I take care of The Joker."

Yeah, he's upset. But I suppose I should be used to that by now. He said he wasn't much of a people person, but I thought he might've softened up a little since then. Guess I was wrong.

"Okay, we're in Gotham airspace. I'll drop you and J'onn off, then find a suitable place to land."

"Fine."

I maneuver the ship over a rooftop and push a button, opening the rear door. J'onn and Batman descend to the roof below and signal that they're fine. I close the door and fly the ship over to a large, empty lot, ensuring that it won't get in the way of pedestrians.

After securing the Javelin, I fly back to the roof to meet up with J'onn and Batman. I turn to J'onn and ask him if he can locate the source of the disturbance.

"J'onn, can you get a fix on those people?"

IC: The Flash

We land 10 minutes and a few crazy moves later. Wonder Women looks glad to be on the ground again...okay, so maybe I was having a bit too much fun behind the wheel...I'll let her fly us home.
"Okay, so maybe not so much a break-in as a break-out."
I begin as we survey the damage. That being almost a whole wall that's broken to peices.
"So what happened?"
Wonder Woman begins questioning the guards. They tell us that Solomon Grundy is the one whose missing, gee great, but that it was someone else who broke him out.
"Some kind of fog surrounded the grounds. Then snow starts falling from the sky, we couldn't see anything. Next thing we know the alarms are going off, and we find one of our guys knocked unconscious, and Grundy nowhere to be found."
"Did you say random fog and snow?"
The guard nods and I roll my eyes.
"Perfect. Well, thanks."
And without anything further I turn around and head back for the jet. Wonder Woman comes jogging up behind me,
"What do you know, Flash?"
"Can't be anyone else but the Weather Wizard. His whereabouts have been pretty sketchy lately, until now it looks like....
Just what could he be up to?"
I finish, talking more to myself by the end of my response.
"We need to let the others know as soon as we can. Meanwhile we should head back to the Watchtower and see what else we can find on Weather Wizard up to now."
Wonder Woman nods and heads up the ramp.
"You can take us back, all right?"
I say as I take her spot at the passenger seat. Slipping my fingers under my mask I rub my eyes. A few painkillers sound really good right about now as a seeminly sudden headache comes on. Getting sick is the last thing I need to happen right now.....

OOC: How about Monday 6:00 PM as of this post? That cool with everyone?

"Give me a moment, Superman," I say as I scan the area. "It's coming from the south side of the city. The exact location is hard to tell. These hostages were brought here against their will."

"Let's move," Batman says, shooting a grappling hook off into the night sky. Superman and I follow as he leads the way. I reach out to Batman telepatically.

"Any reason to the Joker's actions, Batman? There appears to be no motive."

"the Joker never needs a motive. He's a maniac." He motions to a building a few blocks up. "There."

"How do you know? Superman asks.

"Call it a lucky guess." We come to the ground in front of the Lafco Toy building.

"He thinks this is a joke, I presume," I state.

"It's getting annoying," Batman replies. "Shall we?"

MEANWHILE, in Metropolis...
"Snapper Carr here, from the seaside docks of Metropolis. High winds and large waves have just started crashing against the shores of this city. Police and rescue crews are evacuating the coastline in case the situation gets any... worse... Oh God-" I look up from the television screen in the window of the shop.

Batman:
I lead Superman and J'Onn into the factory. I remember the layout from the time that Joker hijacked the Christmas TV airwaves. The place is, of course, empty... except for half a dozen giant teddy bear robots coming towards us from a hidden passageway.
"I love you." They say. "Let's play!" Their paws fall off to reveal machine guns.
"Oh boy." Clark says. And then a familiar laugh echos through the air.
"Joker." I say through clenched teeth.

"Six 12 foot tall teddy bears...with machine guns for hands. Toyman would be jealous."

Joker's laugh continues to echo throughout the room. It's enough to give any ordinary person nightmares, but I don't scare so easily.

"Alright people, let's get to work."

I leap forward and fly fist-first into the robo-teddies. J'onn materializes from the ground next to me and phases his hand through one of the robot's heads. He then yanks out some circuitry, causing the bear to fall to the ground. I can't help but smile.

"Okay Batman, we'll take care of these robots. You go find The Joker."

I turn around to look at Batman...but he's not there anymore. I should've known.

"Are you sure you're all right?"
Wonder Woman asks for what seems like the hundredth time. Oh yeah, if my vision blurring is a good thing, then I'm just peachy.
"Yeah, yeah...I'm fine."
I wave her off as she sets us down back in the Watchtower and I quickly make my way down the ramp. I don't remember ever feeling this sick before. And of all times, why does it have to be now when the Weather Wizard is up to something? I wonder how the others are doing right now. Settling down in the main computer chair I begin bringin up files on Grundy and the Weather Wizard. Just what is Grundy needed for....

6:10 PM

The wind rushes lightly through my hair as I fly over Metropolis, scanning for anything to busy myself with.

I had come to the Watchtower when Superman had requested and was left there, the others tending to separate matters.

The sinking sun shines brightly in my eyes as I swoop lower, hoping it will increase my chances of finding SOMETHING in this steel jungle gym.

Losing focus for a moment, I stare ahead into the wispy clouds. I always loved the view from up here.

Bingo!
Far beneath me a woman screams, her purse torn violently out of her hands. It was insignificant sure, but a crime non the less.

Feeling a small form of gratitude towards this mugger and my new task, I dive towards him, plummeting out of the sky, and of course scaring them both.

He runs as I approach, dodging my first attempt at grounding him. I land yelling at him.
"Stop!"

Why do they never listen?

Leaping at him, I catch him in the mid-drift, sending us both to the ground.
My face burns just a bit as he hits me. BIG mistake.

I swing my fist, hitting him just above the jaw line. He rolls over the pavement as he falls, standing just enough to throw the hand bag at me, and run.
He wasn't worth it.

I pick the purse up from the ground, handing it casually to the woman against the wall. She breathes a sigh of relief as I take off again. That's today's gratitude for you.

The ground grows further and further away as I expand my wings. Maybe I could be of some help to the others. Turning my direction, I head for Gotham.

I scan the sky of Metropolis and the television for some sign of a hero to save this reporter from certain death. I see Hawkgirl flying past in the sky, surveying the area. She see the men in danger and swoops in to save him.

"Perfect," I say. "Grundy, get ready."

"For what?" he grunted.

"We've got our first catch of the day," I reply. "Hand me the blue capsule." He digs in the bag and finds one, handing it to me. I get out my launcher and wait for her to take off into the sky again. She gets the reporter and his camera man to safety and takes off. TV is good for something. I spot her in the sky above me and make my shot. She spots me and the capsule flying toward her. She smacks it with her mace, with more than enough power to activate it. A cyclone traps her inside and brings her to the ground, unconcious. I motion to Grundy.

"Pick her up, we'll secure her at the lab," I say with a smile. I push a button on my belt which causes the strom to cease. "One down, six to go."

I look over at Flash on the way back. He's pale and is rubbing his eyes. For some reason, i find myself worrying about him.

I land at the Watchtower and ask, once again, if Flash is alright. Once again, he brushes me off.

We walk inside and look around. Flash sits down at the main computer and brings up files on Grundy. I look them over as he brings them up.

Suddenly I realize that Hawkgirl is not around. I walk around the various areas to find that she is gone.

As I reenter the main area I’m still looking around. "Flash? Where’s Hawkgirl?" There’s no response and I look over at him. "Fla – Great Hera!"

Flash fainted and is lying on the ground. I run to his side and lift up his head.

"Flash? Flash? Wake up! By the gods Flash wake up!"

6:15 PM

I can't find any information that's solid enough, nothing so far that will help us figure out what Weather Wizard is up to, perhaps Batman or Superman know something. Wonder Woman wanders off right as a wave of nausea passes through me, I shudder.
"Not good..."
I mumur quietly. Perhaps it was something I ate, or maybe I've been fighting this off for a while, whatever it is, I'm just plain sick. I can hear Wonder Women as she searches around for Hawkgirl, calling out to her, but her voice sounds so distant to me. I lean forward, stretching my hand out against the keyboard of the computer to steady myself as I get up. Bad move. My legs give out from under me, and I slump to the ground, unconscious.

6:23 PM

Vaguely I can recall Wonder Woman picking me up from the ground and rushing me over to the Watchtower's medical bay. She looks a little freaked out. She's rummaging around the supplies as I lay on one of the beds. I reach under my chin and yank my mask off, I was practically sweating under that thing. Running a shaky hand through my flame colored hair I take in a uneven deep breaths. The movement catches Wonder Woman's attention and she rushes back towards me.
"By the goddess, what's wrong Flash?"
I manage a limp grin,
"I honestly don't know...except for the very basic fact that I feel like crap."
That seems to have confused her even more on what to do. I shake my head, oooo not a good thing to do,
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm just gonna stick around here till the others make it back."
While saying so I set myself laying back down on the bed as a tense looking Wonder Woman nods and heads back to the main control room.

I look around the room at all of the shattered pieces of circuitry littered about the floor, as well as the remains of Joker's robo-bears. As I continue to observe the damage, J'onn says the very thing that's on my mind.

"It did not take very long to dispose of these robots."

"I know, and that's what has me concerned. He obviously knew we were coming, otherwise he wouldn't have sent these things after us. But Joker also must've known that it wouldn't take too long for us to take care of things."

"A decoy?"

"Maybe..."

I tap my belt buckle and open a channel.

"Batman, come in."

J'onn looks at me as I try to contact Batman.

"Batman, come in. Batman, do you read me? Damn, why isn't he responding?"

"Perhaps he is maintaining radio silence."

"Or he's in trouble. Come on."

J'onn and I walk to the wall which opened to release the teddy bears. I quickly scan the wall to locate the passage.

"There it is."

I swiftly punch the door, creating a dent and knocking it to the ground.

"It's pitch-black, but I can still guide us through. Follow me."

I lead J'onn into the passage, all the while examining it carefully. It's narrow, and there's really little room for maneuverability. And that makes it perfect for traps. I just hope that wherever Bruce is, he's okay.

My eyes sting painfully as I open them, I can't see a thing. The room around me blurs into primary colors, occasionally shifting to black and white.

I can't remember what happened, or how I had gotten here........where is here?
I attempt to stand, but am held tightly by a restraint, something very strong.
After a few minutes of struggling, I give up, feeling a strange amount of exhaustion creep over me.

Straining to squint, I see a shape come into the room, walking over to me very slowly.

My vision goes black.....

I have switched my radio off. I sneak about over the rafters, watching the Joker dance around a vat of chemicals, throwing things in. He is singing belive it or not.

"A little bit of HCL, a little bit of CuSO4..." He sings. I glare at him. Lunatic. I pull out a pair of binoculars and watch him through them. He isn't even throwing HCL and CuSO4 in. It's Joker Toxin and Smilex. I put the binocs back and quitley glide down behind him. I walk up to a control panel and switch the bubbler off. Joker whirls around, pistol in hand. I jump out of the way. Just in time.

BANG, BANG, BANG!

I sit in the main control room, still worrying about Flash. He looked very bad. I sigh and decide to try contacting Hawkgirl.

I open a channel. "Hawkgirl? Comin, Hawkgirl."

WHen there is no response I begin to worry. I try several more times. Something isn't right.

I walk back into the medical bay.

"How are you feeling Flash?" I ask.

"I"ll be fine. Just need to rest a bit." He says.

"I'm worried about Hawkgirl. She's not responding."

The world around me starts to fall into place, my head twirling madly as I sit up.

"Uhhhh..."

Where am I? I still can't see very well, my eyes burn against the cold air.

It was dark around me now, making it even more difficult for me to see.

I was very dizzy, my head swaying weakly as I try to stand....no use, I don't have enough energy. Realizing that I was most likely drugged, I sighed loudly. Great.

Something very bulky held my arms around me, making it difficult to breathe. The thought of calling for help crossed my mind, and for some strange reason, I started laughing.

My consciousness began to fade, I decided against my first thoughts and turned just slightly, hoping the new pressure would activate the communicator attached to my waist,

"Help...."

All senses fled me again.

J'onn:

As we look for Batman, I telepathically sense problems for two of our team. "Hawkgirl has been captured and Flash is down, Superman," I state.

"What?" he eplied. "How do you kn- oh, right. You go check up on that situation. I'll help Batman here."

"I'll be in touch," I say back, and phase threw the wall, going toward the Watchtower."

Meanwhile...

I stand on my lab, surveying it's greatness. Yes, it's your run of the mill mad scientist lab, but it's also the lab that devised the traps to finally bring the Justice LEague to there knees. Suddenly, I hear a slight sound behind me.

"Help." Hawkgirl had acctivated her communicator.

"Fool!" I say bringing my hand across her face. I call for Grundy.

"Yeah, what is it?" he grunted.

"She's contacted the League, so some of them will no doubt be here shortly," I say. "We'll need to get ready, we've got to get those chambers ready for the rest of them ASAP. Let's go."

Must have dozed off I think to myself as I slowly come to. Well, fell asleep, passed out, they're more or less the same thing. Was hoping some down time would make a difference, and it has, for the worst. It's got to be something I ate, some bug or something beyond those two ideas to make me feel like this. And I don't think it was something I ate. Wonder Woman comes in asking how I am, and I lie, giving her a smile. Hawkgirl's missing? Just what we need. I mean, I have a lot of respect for the woman, she's strong, and her getting in trouble is never a good thing. We really need to get the others back up here to talk things over.

I jerk awake, taking note that I am pinned to the wall by a large, dirty, hand.

His fingers clutch around my neck, making it difficult to breathe or swallow, and my feet dangle just inches from the ground.

My vision for the fist time since I was rendered unconscious, focuses, on.......

"Grundy..."

The voice that comes from my throat is raspy, being strained by his grasp.

In his other hand is my communicator, his fingers closing around it, and grinding it into small pieces...

He opens his mouth as if to say something, but instead punches the wall by my face, crumbling the plaster.
I move my head to the side as much as I can, raising my eyes to his, an expression filled with anger.

"That's enough."
Strangely listening to the voice from behind him, he drops me to the floor.

I push myself from the ground, resting against the wall I was previously held on.

Lifting my gaze to the man behind the beast, my eyes widen,
"You!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

There's no mistaking that sound, and it's coming from up ahead. I just hope it's not the hostages! I fly straight ahead at full speed, moving so fast that I smash through a wall.

BOOM!

I suddenly find myself in another room, with a chemical vat...and The Joker. He looks up towards my direction and snarls.

"Superman! How did you find me?"

I shoot a smile his way.

"I have great hearing."

"Feh. Humor doesn't work for you, boy scout."

Why do people insist on calling me that? Don't they know I'm getting tired of that?

"Where are the hostages, Joker?"

He chuckles and shakes his head.

"What, you think I'm gonna tell you?"

"Well, if you won't tell me...then maybe you'll tell him."

The Joker looks puzzled, then turns his head just in time to meet Bruce's fist. I hold back the urge to chuckle myself as the clown goes stumbling across the catwalk. I continue to float in the air and fold my arms while Bruce takes charge of the situation.

Not that it would help me....my arms and wings are still bound by a steel rod.

It didn't really matter, I had turned on my link, I'm sure of it, otherwise Grundy wouldn't have taken the time to smash it.

"That was a foolish thing for you to do Hawkgirl."

I half smile, showing him I wasn't afraid of him.

"You think it's amusing do you? Well I'd like to thank you for what you did,"

Wait a minute, what's he talking about?

"Instead of having to hunt them all down, you have given them reason to search me out.....Soon I will have defeated the entire Justice League, and I owe it all to you my dear!"

What have I done? I breathe deeply, trying to keep face.
"We've overcome foes more dangerous than yourself Weather Wizard, what makes you so sure?"

His mouth twisted into a horrible grin,
"Inventions..."

My mind races, without my communicator all I have left is.....I shut my eyes, concentrating.
'J'onn, if you can hear me....'

"Grundy, STOP HER! She's trying to warn the martian!"

A large fist slams into my face, and my thoughts drift away.

I reach the Watchtower after a short trip. As I land in the docking bay, I get a strange sensation. Hawkgirl's voice echoes in my head. My mind races to find her present location. I see a lab, hidden in the country side. Then, all goes black. I walk to the sick bay to find Diana dabbing Flash's forehead with a cloth. He appears ill.

"Is he alright?" I ask.

"I don't know," she replies. "He said he's fine, but that's obviously not true."

"I'll be fine, okay?" Flash shouts. "Just give me a few minutes.

"Are you well enough to assist myself and Diana in locating Hawkgirl?" I ask.

"Why? What's wrong?" Diana asks.

"She's been kidnapped."

"I'm in," Flash says, pulling his mask over his pale face. "And I promise to back off if I feel I'm a burden to you."

Geez, would they just back off? Of course, Wonder Woman wasn't all that far off, then again, I'm a bad liar I guess. I can tell J'onn's wondering if I'll be all right, he kept studying me as we loaded ourselves into the jet. I take the farthest seat from the cockpit where the two of them settle in. As they take the ship out of the Watchtower I stretch myself out across my chair and focus on sleeping. But I can't. Rest is what I need to fight off whatever it is I have, but not now. Of all times all I can think about is the Weather Wizard. How am I going to beat him? Correction, we're a team going against him and Grundy, but this is so much more personal. The same way it is for Superman when we deal with Lex, or with Batman and that freaky pasty guy...Joker. It's like, this is MY bad guy, MY problem that I have to take care of. I grimace as painful shiver courses through my body. This is going to be a long night.....

I glance back at Flash who appears to be trying to sleep. He probably should have stayed at the Watchtower and just informed the rest of our new mission. He shudders slightly and I am really beginning to feel badly. He shouldn't be here. We should take him home and let him rest.

I shake my head knowing Flash will not agree to that. I cannot believe how stubborn he is. Here he is, barely able to stand or walk, and going off to fight another fiend. It's actually rather heroic.

J'onn brings the Javelin down near a mountain side. We step out and survey the area. Flash climbs out last and stays right near the Javelin, leaning on it slightly.

"Where are we going now, J'onn?" I ask him.

J'onn looks up the mountain side. I follow his gaze to where the trees seem a bit off. I look back at J'onn and nod.

"Can you make it up the mountain, Flash?" I ask him, genuinely concerned.

"I'm fine!" He practically yells.

With that we head up the mountain.

Perhaps I'm getting a bit too tense, I practically bit Wonder Woman's head off and she looked like she was genuinely concerned. I mutter an apology as I join the others going up the mountain. It feels weird, going so...slow. Of course for the other two this is just regular walking, but for me, I just want to blow past them and be up on top of the stupid hill already. And I could. But what would happen? Would going so fast speed up whatever is making me ill, when it start to get rid of it, or only make it worse? The others are already pulling ahead of me and I jog slowly to catch up. We're going to have to find out sooner or later what I can do I think, glancing up towards our destination. I look around the room, searching for any sign of the hostages. I see nothing but empty rooms behind the walls. Just as it begins to look hopeless, I remember what Bruce told me that night outside the site of Lois' kidnapping.

"With Joker, expect the unexpected."

The unexpected. I look down at the ground and penetrate it with my sight. Sure enough, some 20 feet down, there's a dark room filled with ten people, bound and gagged. He hid them in plain sight, as far as I'm concerned. There's also a number of pipes entering the room. I trace the pipes back to the chemical vat in this room.

"So that was the plan."

Bruce looks up at me.

"What?"

"Just a moment, Batman."

I take a quick breath and begin to blow on the storage vat. As Bruce and the clown look on, the vat, and it's contents, quickly turn to solid ice.

"No! No! That's not fair!"

The Joker gets agitated as he begins to realize that I've discovered his secret. Ignoring him, I touch down on the floor and begin to spin in place. It doesn't take me too long to burrow through the ground and reach the hostages.

"Stay calm, everyone. The situation has been taken care of. You're safe now."

15 minutes later...

I watch as the last of the emergency vehicles departs the area, with the hostages being taken to a local hospital to check for injuries. A chemical cleanup crew was also on hand to safely remove whatever it was that Joker was mixing. As for The Joker, he was sedated and taken back to Arkham the minute I found out that his bomb threat turned out to be false. I turn and walk into an alley where Batman is waiting.

"J'onn took the Javelin."

"I figured as much. I guess that means you're stranded. It's too bad John isn't here, otherwise he could take you to the Watchtower."

"I only need my plane."

"I'll get it for you."

Even without having to look through his mask, I can tell that Bruce is raising an eyebrow at me.

"And how do you propose to do that?"

"I'll fly up there."

"Fly?"

"That's right."

"Twenty-two thousand miles up into orbit?"

"Yes."

Bruce folds his arms.

"I think you're letting your name get to your head."

I just smile and shake my head.

"I can hold my breath for an extended period of time by hyper-inflating my lungs."

"For how long?"

"An hour, more or less."

If I didn't know any better, I think I might've just surprised him.

"Just give me your access remote so that I can get into the Batplane, ok? I promise that I won't screw anything up."

Bruce sighs and reaches into a pouch in his belt and produces the remote, then tosses it to me.

"Bring it back to the cave...in one piece."

"You got it."

I take a deep breath and shoot skyward, counting the minutes that I have left until I run out of oxygen, but it shouldn't take too long. All the while, I keep thinking about how funny it was seeing Bruce's face. I mean, he's not the only one surrounded with a little mystery.

(Author's note: I sped up the events in this post in regards to the Joker situation to bring Supes and Bats up to speed with everyone else.)

"Um, yeah," Grundy grunted. He walked off to the security room.

I walked back to Hawkgirl. "Don't even think of breaking out," I say to her. "I'll have Grundy back in here in no time."

"You can't win, Wizard," she snarled at me. "We'll stop you. They know where I am."

"An unfortunate, but yet fortunate break," I reply smiling. "I hadn't planned on them being here so soon, but I am fortunately prepared." I present the capsules to her. "Each one designed especially for each of you. I can't wait to-"

"Boss," Grundy utters from the doorway. "They're coming to the door."

"Good," I say as I throw Grundy a pair of night vision goggles. "Shut the power off. We'll take 'em down in the dark."

Outside:

"Are you ready?" I say looking at Diana and Flash.

"Ready," Diana says, kicking the door open to find a pitch black hallway. "You coming Flash?"

"I'll be right behind you," he replies, slightly out of breath.

"Meet us inside then," I reply. "But be careful. I sense all is not right inside." We move down the hallway, no light but that reflecting off the snow outside. I see a door to the side and phase through it.

"Surprise!" Weather Wizard yells as he tosses a pill at me.

"What is this?" I say. Suddenly the pill explodes into a ring of fire. I'm surrounded by a cage of flames, and it closes on me. Within seconds, my world goes black.

"One more to the collection," I say, motioning to Grundy to move the Martian. "Now to take care of Wonder Woman and that medelsome Flash."

"J'onn!!!"

He falls to the floor, the flames slowly vanishing from around him. No.........this is all my fault. I called him here.

I struggle in the dark, hoping Weather Wizard is too busy worrying about the others to notice my left wing is now free from the restraints.

No such luck, by the time my wings are free I feel Grundy's strong arms wrap around my waist.

We lift from the ground as I beat my wings, slamming him into the ceiling with all my might. He falls limply to the floor.
Now, if I could just see.....

Light fills my vision, surging it's way through my body.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

I can feel every muscle convulsing in shock. What's happening to me?

The steel beam around my chest bends and falls from me as my arms push from my side.

Blackness once again fills the room, but I can smell something as I crumple to the ground, smoke...........me.

"Ah, I believe I have now perfected my lightning capsule! Thank you for volunteering, Hawkgirl."

I struggle to remain conscious, reality fading in and out.
I have to warn the others....but how?

I look down at Hawkgirl, not moving. Good, the capsule did it's job. I look at Grundy, who's shaking his head.

"Move them to the nuetralization room," I say to him. He drags them by their legs to the elevator and goes down. I turn the lights back off and hear noise outside the door. I go to the back of the room and wait for the standard superhero kicking of the door. Just then, the door flies across the florr- right on cue. Wonder Woman stands in the doorway.

"You sure you can do this, Flash?" she asks him. He looks back at her in what seems to be anger.

"YES! I can!" he shouts and rushes into the room.

I hold my arm out and closeline him as he runs past me. He hits the ground hard, but still awake. Wonder Woman calls for him from the door.

"Flash! Are you alright?" she says, worry written all over her face. Perfect time for her capsule. I toss it in front of her and wait for her to step on it.

"Watch your step!" I say as her foot crushes it open. A whirlwind tosses her through the room, throwing her body agaisnt the walls. It stops and she falls to the floor. "Perfect."

"Diana!" Flash yells from the floor. He sweeps my feet from under me and sends me to the ground. He takes off out of the room mumbling, "Gotta get the others."

"Not so fast!" I say, getting up. He takes off out the front door of the building, but not at an extremely fast rate of speed. I toss a capsule after him and let it hit the ground. It starts to shake violently. Flash wobbles slightly but keeps on. "Oh well. Next time. With the rest of them, it appears." I walk back in the lab.

He yells at me once more, "YES! I can!"

He races into the room, but I notice that he's not going as fast as usual. In the darkness I hear a thump and know that something happened to him.

"FLash! Are you alright?!"I call out, stepping into the room.

"Watch your step!" I hear.

Suddenly I'm in the air being slammed against the walls. I hit every wall in the room before finally the wind stops and I fall to the ground.

Not good not good not good. Those are the only two words repeating in my head over and over. First J'onn, now Wonder Woman. Just what the heck were those capsules that Weather Wizard was using? They make all sorts of things happen, one that will affect each of us to throw us off. The ground shaking wasn't bothering me that much, I'm use to things moving, but the ground moving with me being sick, well that's not too good a combination. I skid to a halt in front of the Javelin. Wasn't running nearly as fast as I should be able to...and I'm actually breathing a bit hard. Turning, he backs towards the wall, slamming me into it.

His struggling stops as we start to lower, first falling to his knees then flat on his face. Beautiful.

As I navigate the Batplane back towards Earth, the LED panel flashes. I press a button next to it and a message pops up.

Sending text message due to lack of time. Hawkgirl and the others are in trouble. Held by Weather Wizard and Grundy. Intercepted Flash in J-7. Appears to be suffering from some sort of sickness. Must remain behind in cave to monitor his vitals. Sending you Hawkgirl's coordinates.

I read the longitude and latitude numbers on the screen and feed them into the system. Automatically, the Batplane picks up speed and rockets into the Earth's atmosphere, heading towards Hawkgirl's location. I hit the comm on my belt.

I hold out another capsule in front of her. "Feeling lucky? I'm not really sure what this one does, but it looks to be a nasty one. Don't try me." She backs down as I flip a switch. "Feel free to take in some of this gas, it'll make your stay here so much more easy for me. You're friend's will be here when you wake." I shut the door and watch as Hawkgirl slumps over. I go back to find Grundy in the main lab.

"We got a visitor," he grunts. "Superman."

"Good," I reply. "Go greet him, I'll put the finishing touches on this capsule. It's gonna be a killer."

Coughing lightly for effect, I slide down to the floor, waiting for Weather Wizard to presume I'm unconscious before I reach for J'onn's cape. I don't think he'd mind.

Breathing slowly through the material, I still can feel the effects of the gas seeping through. This isn't working, I need to get out of here.

I hold in my air, feeling conflicted as I leave my friends on the ground......but I have no other choice. I have to warn the rest of the League.

Going back the way I had been drug, I carefully slink down the halls and corridors, looking for a way out.

Hearing a small buzzing just above me, I adjust my stance, ready to fight........oh god, the cameras! I'd forgotten!

With the knowledge that I had probably already been spotted by Grundy, and finding myself unable to force my wings to work, I run.

There......I see light coming from around the edges of that door, the light of a sunset!

Almost there........I burst out into fresh air. I hadn't admitted it to myself, but for a while, I feared I might never get out of that horrible little lab.

Scanning the horizon I see the Batplane, and......
"Superman!!!"

Something from behind me grabs one of my feet, knocking me to the ground, and hanging me upside down.
"No!"

I kick Grundy's face, but it doesn't even phase him.

"Come on Birdy."

Throwing me over his shoulder, he turns back to the entrance of Weather Wizards lab. I can't struggle my way out of his grasp.

In one more desperate attempt, I cup my hands over my mouth...
"SUPERMAN!!!"

I land the Batplane a short distance from what appears to be Weather Wizard's place. Upon landing, I slowly float out of the cockpit and take stock of my surroundings. There's a forest some 40 yards from the facility, and a small group of mountains about 4 1/2 miles away.

"Hmm. Quiet. Never a good sign."

As I land on the ground and start making my way to the building, I hear the sound of pounding footsteps coming my way. Without having to look, I know who's coming. Sure enough, it's Solomon Grundy.

"Hello, Grundy."

"Superman. You're coming with me."

"Actually, you are coming with me."

Grundy didn't like that one too much, and judging by his grunting and growling, he intends to make me pay for it. Shame he wants to do this the hard way.

"You will pay, Superman!"

He lunges at me with his fists flying all over the place. Of course, it's hard to connect when you're fighting someone who's faster than a speeding bullet.

"Some other time, Solomon."

I hit him full force in his stomach, causing him to fall to his knees, gasping for breath. Not one to pass up the advantage, I smash my fist right across his jaw and follow it with a knee to the face. Having stunned him, I grab Grundy by his collar and fly up into the air.

"Say goodnight, Solomon."

Still holding on to his collar, I put all my strength into a throw and turn Grundy into a human...well, almost human...missile and send him crashing through the roof of Weather Wizard's lab some 40 feet below. I follow Grundy's flight path right into the building, where I see Weather Wizard standing by some controls. He looks a little shocked.

"Wha...how..."

"Rumors of my weakness have been greatly exaggerated. Now I want my friends, Weather Wizard. Hand them over, or you'll be joining your associate here in dreamland."

My tone is a little forceful, but I'm in no mood to play good cop.

Grundy slams his hand over Hawkgirl's mouth as she yells out for Superman. He's here. I tell Grundy to toss her back into the room and throw the neutralization switch on- hopefully a loss of power will keep her down for a bit. He then proceeds to go after Superman, running out the door. There's a comotion, followed by Grundy crashing through the ceiling of my lab. He lays in a heap at the feet of Superman, who goes on about how strong he is and how I will come with him imediately. I smile.

"Sure, but could you hold this first?" I say, tossing a capsule to him. He catches it, squeezing it just enough to trigger it. Green raindrops begin to pelt his body.

"What is this?" he said, struggling to stand upright.

"Well, thanks to Grundy stealing from Luthor and my weather know-how, I created Kryptonite rain! Do you feel it draining you?!" He fell to the floor, barely concious.

"YES! I've got you now!" I say with glee. Solomon pushes himself up, looking at me confused. "Grundy, take him down to join his friends. Lock the door and keep the power drainer on, okay?" He nods, leaving the room with the Superman dragging behind him. I go to another room and turn on a camera. I record a message that I then send to the major news providers...

Within the hour...

"Jack Ryder, with a special bulliten. This message was just recieved a few minutes ago from the Weather Wizard, a madman able to manipulate and create dangerous weather. The following is his message:"

"Citizens of the world, and the remaining members of the Justice League. I am making one simple demand: Batman, Green Latern, and the Flash, surrender to me. If not, I will unleash a ferocious storm likely to coastal cities underwater forever. You have twelve hours to meet my demands, just follow the trail of your fallen members. If not, I will not hesitate to carry out my plans."

"Citizens, I remind you not to panic. Local law enforcement has issued a manditory curfew of 9 PM until further notice. Stay tuned for more on this story as it developes..."

Batman:
Twenty-five minutes have passed. I'm getting impatient. I see a news buliten in a TV shop window. It has a message from the Weather Wizard. He's captured Superman, Wonder Woman, J'Onn and Hawkgirl, and demmanding the rest of the League surrender within twelve hours if we want to avoide a storm that will wipe out a good number of cities. I get on the commlink.
"Green Lantern, come in. This is Batman." I say.

GL:
I am visiting my old school teacher when I get a commlink call.
I excuse myself and go outside.
"Green Lantern here." I say.

Batman:
"The Weather Wizard's captured Clark, Shayera, J'Onn and Diana." I inform him. "He wants us to surrender within twelve hours or have a number of cities wiped out in a storm."

GL:
"Where's that malcontent Flash? Weather Wizard's his nutcase!"

Batman:
"Probably escaped with the Javelin. But we need to find Weather Wizard's hideout."

GL
"And how do you suggest we do that?"

Batman:
I pull out a tracking device. The Batwing's signal comes in loud and clear.
"I have my ways. Batman out." I switch to Flash's prequency.
"Flash, come in. This is Batman."

I slowly wake up and pull myself into a sitting position. Everything still hurts, but my head outranks them all. It feels like I was just trampled by a stampede of horses.

J'onn is still unconscious nearby and now so is Superman. Superman is being bombarded by green rain.

"Kryptonite..." I mutter.

Wonderful. How am I supposed to get Superman away from the rain?

I crawl over to him, wondering if it would help if I covered him with something. What was it that protected him from kryptonite? Lead?

My pulse pounds in my ears even louder as I become frustrated.

I hear a groan from my other companion and crawl to him.

"J'onn? J'onn?"I say to him, my hands on his shoulders shaking him lightly. "J'onn wake up."

Something is up.

I ignore it thinking I am just worring myself,* I walk up to my teachers door and knock on it, he comes to the door and lets me in. Before I got to sit down my League Comlink starts to ring. I walk into the hallway and answer it

What is it, Batman?

The Weather Wizard's captured Clark, Shayera, J'Onn and Diana." I inform him. "He wants us to surrender within twelve hours or have a number of cities wiped out in a storm.

I am on my way

I open my eyes slowly, only to see Diana leaning over J'onn.
"J'onn, wake up."

All around us were small green droplets, falling from no where. I stand, rubbing my head.

"Diana...."

She turns,
"Hawkgirl, it's Kryptonite rain, we have to find some way of...."

Without warning, the storm stops, giving Wonder Woman and I something to be briefly thankful for...

The lights in the room dim as we both fall to the floor, the feeling of utter exhaustion taking over. So much for a celebration.

All around us is a low hum, apparently the source of how I feel right about now. The ability to move is limited to slow unorthodox twitches.

Superman lay facing me, conscious but not exactly a shining ball of energy either....he was still recovering from the rain.

The communicators didn't work in this room, even if they did, I wouldn't have the strength to retrieve J'onn's from my belt.
We're completely helpless like this.

My thoughts turned even darker, dwelling on what the Weather Wizard would do if he got us all.

I scan the room, looking for any means of hope...........
Despite the fact that it was high off of the floor, the neutralizer was protected by a dingy grate like covering as well.

It takes a lot of effort to speak up to an audible level,
"Superman...."

His eyes focus on me......I strain again.....
"Above us...."

Following my gaze, he sees my meaning, but takes a few minutes to act on it. The rain had really done him harm.

The humming slowly stops as the machine sparks, his heat vision doing the trick.

I still feel the side effects of my lost energy as I, very carefully, sit up.
Trying to hide a wince from Diana as she rushes over to us......... I fail miserably.

"Are you all right?"

I look over at her, smiling as much as the pain would allow.
"I'm fine...."

She helps me up.
As I cringe again, Superman rises from the floor, a concerned look on his face.

"You're injured."

I push away from Diana, trying to stand on my own,
"I'm willing to bet that everyone in this room IS."

It wasn't as bad as it looked I'm sure. It only hurts when I move or breathe deeply. Both things I can avoid at the immediate moment.

His expression didn't change,

"Maybe you should rest here while Diana and I deal with the Weather Wizard."

That actually sounded like a wonderful idea, but my pride simply wouldn't allow it.
"This is my fight as well Superman."

"As it is mine..."

That was Weather Wizard.........
We look about the room, looking for the source of his voice.
Up on the ceiling there is a speaker, it's small holes barely visible.

"I anticipated a move like that, and had already taken the liberty of preparing this...."

A thin metal slate opens on the door, just large enough to allow a small object to come clinking across the floor. My eyes widen at the green glow it emits. More stupid Kryptonite!

I try to help Superman as he falls to the ground, but his weight is too much to bear with my wounds as bad as they are. I cry out slightly as we fall to the floor.

"You know, you do bring it on yourselves."

A loud click came from the speaker, leaving only the sound of Superman suffering.
I rise, millions of thoughts crowding my mind. I have to get rid of it!

"Diana, help him!"
Grasping the cold meteor in my hand I search the room.
The way it had come in had closed almost as soon as it had opened. There was no where for this thing to go......

I wake up to the green glow of kryptonite. Superman has joined us, and is in a great deal of pain. I sit up, but I'm extremely weakened. The others are struggling as well. Hawkgirl held the rock in her hand, trying to dispose of it. I get to my knees and call to her.

"Hawkgirl, give it to me," I say. She rolls it across the floor. I turn to the wall beind me and throw a punch. My hand throbs as it barely goes through the wall and a pipe behind it. I pick up the rock and throw it down the pipe, hoping it's not too late for Superman. He's out of it, but the rest of us are slowly getting our strength back.

"Is there any way to contact the others? If we fell so easily, they're going to need back-up- especially with Flash looking as badly as he did."

"You're right, J'onn," Hawkgirl replied. "But unfortunately our communicators are down."

"Not all of them," I reply. I telepathically try to reach out to Batman, getting him briefly, long enough to tell him where we were and that we needed back-up as well. I tell him I'll retrieve another to help him and Lantern. I search until I reach Metropolis, finding John Henry Irons. "Steel, you are needed now."

I hear something- no, someone calling for me. I'm not sure who, but they sound as if they are in need of my assistace. I suit up and head off for those in need of me- I just hope I'm not to late...

J'onn's face returns to normal, his concentration broken.

I stumble, almost falling into Diana,

"I think you need to rest Hawkgirl."

I nod, allowing her to help me to the floor.
This was awful, I hate feeling vulnerable or helpless in anyway, yet here I sit, shaking from lacerations that my own wings had created, and relying on my friends to find us a way out.

It didn't matter, I've pretty much guessed that Weather Wizard has this room under his surveillance, hearing and seeing all that we attempt to do.

I sit with my head bowed, trying to clear my thoughts as J'onn and Diana help Superman to his feet.

This is ridiculous, all of it. If we can defeat the universe's most resilient alien life form, match skills with the genetically altered Mason, or win the struggle with a four hundred year old witch, then why have we all been out bested by hand held inventions that control the weather?

There has to be some key element that we are not seeing............wait a minute..............................

KEY!!!

I look around, spotting the small camera in the corner of the room.
Unable to speak to my friends I concentrate on J'onn.

'J'onn, I can get us out of here....' He looks at me, 'Grundy's keys. Weather Wizard didn't realize I still have them in my possession.'

A small smile forms on his face, and he responds,
'I will go first, and make certain that Solomon Grundy is not outside of the door.'

He takes a moment to inform Diana and Superman of our plan, and then phases through the wall.

Helping me to my feet Diana looks at me curiously,

"It's a long story."

"You will have to share it with me when we leave here."

If we leave here. I didn't say it outloud, not wanting her to know my negative thoughts.

Pulling the key from my belt, I head for the door, sliding it quickly through the machine in the wall. A little green light blinks off and on, followed by the sound of the door unlatching.
It swings open, revealing J'onn standing just on the other side.

"We must hurry."

Like I didn't know that already.

J'onn lifts me gently as we all fly down the hall, watching intently for any sudden movements. There was none. There is something odd about this...

I tell them where to go, since I had found the way out previously......

We leave the dark hallways of the Weather Wizards lab and land quietly outside. The stars were starting to show above us, and there was the faint sound of crickets.

Superman checked the area, and came flying back to us.

"That was too easy."

I didn't care if it was too easy, I wanted to get out of here.
"We should contact the others."

They nod, J'onn setting me down. Diana walks up next to me, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"You take the Batwing and try to reach Batman, the rest of us will search for Flash and John."

I start to argue but Superman insists on listening to Diana. He speaks very softly, trying to be nice and forceful at the same time.
"You need to rest Shiera, take the Batwing and head to the Watchtower after you get a hold on Batman."

Sighing, I give up. Superman places me carefully into the cockpit.
"Please be careful Clark, the Weather Wizard is up to something else. I know it."

Speaking of.......a large boom echoes off of the country side around us, and large clouds flow in almost instantly.

Lightning flashes across the sky as J'onn yells at me,
"GO, NOW!!!"

I hesitate, feeling the need to help.

Superman echoes J'onn.

"GO NOW HAWKGIRL!!!"

Before I am aware of what is happening, Superman hits a switch on the control panel, sending the Batwing into the air and rocketing away from my friends.

"Hey! Go back!!!"

"UNAUTHORIZED COMMAND."

I was about to start hitting buttons but thought better of it. I could kill others or myself if I activated the wrong switch.

Watching helplessly out of the Batwing, my eyes widen.
Superman, Wonder Woman, and J'onn disappear into the belly of something large and moving.....a tornado!

My fist comes in contact with the glass around me.
"No!!!!"

I repeat my angry yells as the hills grow further and further away.

Calming for just a moment, I pull the communicator from my side, and speak as clearly as my current state would let me.
"Batman, It's Hawkgirl, come in....."

"Hawkgirl?"

"There's no time to explain, where are you?"

"The Batcave, watching over Flash."

Watching over Flash, what was wrong with Flash. I didn't' have time to ask him that now.

"We need to talk......but I have no clue how to fly your air craft..."

"Hang on......" After a few minutes the direction of the plane shifted. "I've redirected your destination, you should be heading towards me."

"Thank you Batman..."

Silence filled the space around me.

For reasons oblivious to me, I slumped back into the seat, the urge to cry vanishing as I left the world around me.

I continue to fly over the cities heading to where Batman told me where he would be. The mass chaos is pure frightning, people running all over the place. Vandals wrecking havoc. I would stop them but frankly I have bigger fish to fry. I fly past a large Lighthouse

"Good, there is the lighthouse. I most be close to Batman and Flash."

"Green Lantern, this is Batman. Come in"

"Yeah Batman, What is it?"

"Hawkgirl is the batplane heading toward the Batcave. Superman,Diana and J'Onn are trapped in one of Weather Wizard's Cyclones. You have to hurry to the cave so we can make some sort of plan.

"I am going as fast as my ring lets me. Green Lantern Out"

As I say those words I continue heading toward the location of the Batcave. I finally reach a rock sticking out of the water, my locater tells me I am at the location. after ?I check that it is working slowly the breaks open and small shaft appears. I climb down it to find myself in a one-way tunnel. I walk through it till I reach a titanium door. I open it slowly to find myself in the Batcave. The batmobile it parked in the corner. "Anyone read me? Steel here." A few seconds of silence, followed by a deep voice.

"Batman here. I breifly was contacted by J'onn on your joining us," he answered. "Meet us in Gotham, on the Gotham Gate bridge in about a half an hour. When Green Lantern arrives here, we'll leave to meet you there. Batman out."

I make a turn and head toward Gotham, jetting past the tree tops. I'm not sure what we're up against here, but it's good to be in action again.

Meanwhile...

I look down at the three of them, slightly frustrated. "You really thought I'd let you get away? I thought we villains were the dumb ones!" I kick the unconsciouc Superman in the side. "You were willing to risk innocent lives just to escape?! Heroes- right. This time have the decency to stay put, and hopefully your friends won't be quite as stupid!" I am awakened to a sensation of weightlessness, strong arms wrapped carefully around me. Tensing for only a moment, I soon relax, realizing who has me in his arms.

Bruce sets me down, stomach first, on top of a padded table, making sure I was alright before he returned to the large computer, speaking quietly with John.

My eyes wander about the cave, looking at Batman's collection.....there are some odd things in here.

Finishing up my visual scan of Bruce's cave, my gaze comes to rest onto the person lying on a similar table, beside me.

"Flash...."

I wasn't sure if he'd heard me or not, until his head lifted slowly from the pillow that lay under it.

He smiled at me....at least, I think he smiled at me....and then laid his head back down.

The others are discussing something that makes no sense to me.....12 hours till what? Steel?

Batman made his way over to me, standing so I could see him.
"John and I are going. There is someone we need to discuss things with. You and Flash, stay here."

I began to argue but he ignores me, walking towards the Batwing as I protest.

Looking at John for maybe a form of support, I am again denied. He says nothing, but lifts himself from the ground and follows Batman out of the cave.

Trying to get up, I yelp a little, feeling the burning coming again. Flash glances over at me.

"I'm fine..."

He half grins,
"Yeah, that's what I said."

I give up, and for the first time since I had been in Weather Wizards clutches, I let myself rest, feeling momentarily safe from everything.....

And so they go, leaving Hawkgirl and I alone. And I couldn't be more upset by that. Well, not being alone where her, but rather being out on the sidelines. Cautiously I raise myself up to a sitting position, dangling my legs over the medical table/bed as I face Hawkgirl. Tugging at my mask I manage to rip away from my face, setting is aside as I swipe a hand across my forward, brushing red bangs out of my eyes.
"Well this is just dandy isn't it?"
I begin. Hawkgirl keeps her eyes closed a moment before glancing at me. I smile,
"And yes, I was being sarcastic."
She raises up to her elbows. In the time I've known her, I don't think I've ever seen her this out of it.
"So what happened?"
I continued. She told, bit by bit, all that had happened so far with Weather Wizard and Grundy, and I couldn't help but clench my teeth. My grip on the side of the bed tightened.
"We should be out there helping them."
I said as she finished. Hawkgirl nodded,
"Have you figured out what's wrong?"
She asked me after a moment's pause. I shook my head wearily.
"Not really...not at all. I know it has nothing to do with anything I've eaten, but then who knows what else it could be then...except just getting plain sick. Frankly, I'm not used to that, haven't been sick since I was a kid."
She responded with a raised eyebrow,
"But I thought you still were a--"
"haha,"
I butted in, "Very funny, you know what I mean."
I fell into silence as the need for sleep seemed to wash over me and I fought to keep my eyes open.

Running a hand through my damp hair, I awaited a reponse.

"I could try and send a message to Planet Oa using my ring for reinforcements, but they would only be able to arrive in a week. Aquaman couldn't help us with his abilitys. I do have one friend I might be able to contact.

A pause occurs for a moment. Seconds later we end up at the bridge with Steel waiting for us

"So what is the situration?"

As we explain what happened to the others. Steel drops his Battle Hammer in shock of how only two villains could cause such madness

"How could this "Weather Wizard" and Solomon Grundy take out 5 members of the Justice League?"

Something tells me that there is a much bigger force that gave Weather Wizard this power. When I heard about the Krytonite Rain I knew it had to be someone from Superman's past. Believe it or not Kryptonite isn't that easy to come by now and days.

He looks at me oddly, it just hitting me that I have never taken my wings off in front of the league.

"They're artificial, constructed with a mineral called 'Ninth Metal,' my grandfather gave them to me."

He nods lightly as I remove my second wing, setting them carefully onto the table that I had just been resting on.

Grabbing the supplies closest to me, I pore some cleaning ointment onto a small cloth towel, dabbing it gently onto my skin.

Flash cringes, "Need help with that?"
Smiling, I shake my head. It was obvious to me that he didn't want to anyhow.

After a few minutes of stinging torture, I reach for the gauze.
He beats me to it, already VERY softly placing pieces here and there.
"Thanks."

"No sweat."

I finish up with a roll of gauze, Flash helping me to wrap it painfully tight around my upper body.

"Are you sure you wa..."

I interrupt him, "It's perfect, thank you Wallace."

He grins, "It's Wally."

"All right, thank you Wally. You sit and rest for a few more minutes, while I try and do something with my wings."
He ignores me, walking shakily up beside me to get a better look.
"Flash, I'm serious, you need to lay down for while. Just until we leave."

"What happened to Wally?"
I glare at him.

"Okay okay."
He sits back onto his table, watching me pull and smooth out the metal and feathers.

Starting to whistle, Flash's eyes flow through the darkest corners of the cave. I could tell he was getting antsy.

There! That should do until I can get them home. I slide my wings back into place, beating them very slowly, I wince.

"Hey Hawkgirl, maybe you shouldn't..."

I hold out my hand, stopping his speech, "Quiet Flash."
His silence is less than comforting as they move faster, bringing small tears to my eyes. It's OK, just tough it out, your friends need you.

I lift from the ground, soaring through the Batcave for a couple of seconds before coming back down. My landing is rough, but acceptable.

Looking at Flash, I try my best to smile, "Are you ready?"

You're amazing. Boy was that on the tip of my tongue, but for some reason I kept it to myself. Hawkgirl stared at me impatiently as I finally refocused my attention to her question. I nodded, while mentally going over my body and just how it was doing.
"As good as I'm going to be."
With that I hop off the table, and land pretty solidly on my feet. I shuffle around for a bit, clearing everything out of my mind, the cave, Hawkgirl, my stomach doing flipflops, as I wriggle my toes, tensing and untensing my legs and shifting from foot to foot. Finished prepping myself and figuring out just where my weakness still was centered I glance Hawkgirl's way again.
"Yeah, I'm good to go."
I say, nodding this time I suppose to reassure myself. She nods in reponse, lifting up into the air again. I pause.
"Uh...just how are we going to get there?"

My right foot touches the ground, quickly followed by my left.
"Hopefully I can remember the way back..."

About to jump back into the air I stop.
"I suppose you don't know how to open the cave's exit."

Without a response, I move to the large computer sitting brightly in the middle of a single platform, one of many in this dark place.
"Computer, access Batcave layout."

"Unauthorized Command."

Great, first the plane, now his computer, his machines were just as hard to get along with as he himself.
I turn to Flash, "We'll have to go through the house."

He looks a little uneasy about that suggestion, "I don't know if"

I stop his reason, "Bruce has left us no other option. We'll use stealth, no one will see us."

Flash shrugs and smiles, "Okay, but if he asks, it was your idea."

I nod, "Lets go."

We head up the long staircase, after what seemed like an eternity we reached the top.

He looks back down the way we had come, "These must be his punishment for the poor souls that try to get out of this place."

I smile back at him, pressing the switch to open the door. Stepping into a large darkened room, I stand in the center of it, looking back at Flash.
"Man, he does like things dark."

My sentiments exactly. We both froze, hearing footsteps.

"Master Bruce, Mr. Lucious Foxx telephoned asking of your meeting with him, I informed him of an emergency out of town...oh my."

Bruce's butler had walked in on our "stealth" exit. Without realizing it, Flash and I had painted on the same, hand caught in cookie jar, smile.

"If you're looking for Master Bru"

"No, um, actually, we're looking for the way out."

He nods, "Come with me."

Walking back into the open doorway by the clock, he disappears into the darkness. I glance back at Flash before I follow.
As we step down each stair, I can hear Wally commenting on something about, "Stairs of Punishment."
Suppressing a laugh, I continue down the stairs.

Before I am back onto a flat surface, the balding man is already at the computer, typing in random keys. Far off is the sound of metal, pulling it's way open.

He looks at us both and points, "It's right down that way."

I rise again from the floor, "Thank you kind sir."

Flash bobs up and down, prepping himself, "Yeah, thanks Alfred."

Alfred, that was it. I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Flash and I make our way to the newly opened door, "We have to make one more stop before we go back to Weather Wizards."

He looks up at me as he runs, "Just follow me!"

Nodding, he speeds up a bit, trying to see just how hard he can push himself. I keep up, ignoring the excruciating sensations running through my entire being. This was going to be fun...

"Citizens of the world, and the remaining members of the Justice League. I am making one simple demand: Batman, Green Lantern, and the Flash, surrender to me. If not, I will unleash a ferocious storm likely to coastal cities underwater forever. You have twelve hours to meet my demands, just follow the trail of your fallen members. If not, I will not hesitate to carry out my plans."

I turn off the television in disgust, feeling boiling rage at the oncoming yells I receive from doing so. I hate this little rec room.

Ignoring them all, I walk over to the door, followed closely by Arkham's new security boy. Spinning quickly to face him, I smile largely. He smiles stupidly back. Moron.

Turning my gaze back at the newly lit TV, I repeat that imbecile's message in my mind...Who does he think he is? I've worked for years to arrange Batman's murder. Planning it, tweaking it here and there. And sure, none of my scheme's have ever worked, but this? To come out of some cloud and threaten the life of my freak without letting me in on it? I won't stay here and let that windy pixie, weasel in on what I've slaved so hard to accomplish...

I begin to cough, drawing the attention of the guard. Placing my hand on his shoulder, I half fall for drama effect.
"H-hey are you?"

My elbow meets his nose, "Yes, I am."

I laugh quietly to myself, trying not to attract the other guards down the hall.
Opening the room's door, I slink out, making sure it's locked again. I speak loud enough for the others in the room to hear me, most of which were still trying to figure out what had just happened. "Sorry all, I can't very well set a bunch of sicko's loose on Gotham City can I?"

I choke, trying so hard not to laugh. I kill myself!
Sneaking quietly down the hall, I slip past four guards and 12 cameras, I've been here so much, I could even tell you what foods are in the sleeping door guards vending machine.

Standing in front of the exit I grin, "Freedom.....again."

I sit on the train, staring down a small girl that's been eyeing me since I got on. My tongue finds it's way out of my mouth, followed directly by a raspberry. She repeats me, but with more saliva. Lucky for the little brat, her mother pulled her towards the front of the seat.

Feeling a little bothered, I slump over in the other direction, thinking of a thousand different ways to kill that weather guy. I think I'll just stick with my reliable old gun. It hasn't let me down so far....well, except that time that Batman...or that other time...in fact, now that I think about it, this thing is pretty worthless. I pull it out, leaving it resting underneath my seat. Lovely little parting gift for the broad with the peanuts.

The cars slowly chug to a stop, and I'm the first one up.
"Sir, if you could please jus-"

I smile at her, a feeling of satisfaction spreading over me as she realizes who I am. She steps aside. "Thanks doll."

Pushing useless passengers out of my way, I head for the doors, making it there just as they opened. That was just as easy as it always was, I laugh loudly as I stroll towards a street full of vehicles for me to choose from. All eyes at the station follow me as I drown in my hysteria. Man, I love being me!

I soar low, making sure that Flash can see me as I fly. The buildings and the complexes slowly roll by us as we speed our way forward.

Landing just outside of Gotham, I tell him to wait out on the porch as I walk to the doorway.
Soon taking note that I didn't have a key, I reach above the doorline, finding the spare where it always was.

I go inside, searching the room for a light switch before heading towards the back closet. That door is locked as well, but I have that key with me. I pull it from my boot and slide it in, the sound of a click echoes in my ears.

I reach in, pulling out one of many of the spare equipment I keep here. The mace I now hold, shines from the overhead light.

Stopping next to Flash as I make my way back outside, I smile, the weight feeling wonderful in my hands.
"Why are your maces here?"

I respond to him quickly before taking off again, "This is my home."

He pauses, running after me as he speaks. "Oh."

I look at the stars in front of me, momentarily forgetting what we were on or way to. Snapping out of my personal trance, I glance down at Wally, and find myself hoping that he knows how to deal with this.
I cling to my new weapon as I speed up, seeing that Flash has already gotten ahead of me.

Hold on everyone, we're coming...

I stand up and look at Grundy. I can't be sure, but I think he might be asleep. He doesn't move as I step forward toward him, with Superman and J'onn standing up as well.

Superman stops me as I reach for my lasso. He motions with his head to the camera in the corner of the room. I nodd and he stares at it for a moment before a hole burns in it and, after a moment of sparking, dies.

I pull my lasso from my hip and prepare to loop it around him. Swing. One... Two... Three. Throw. It is now around his shoulders.

"Hey!" He grunts startled as he struggles he only pull the rope tighter.

J'onn flies over and presses his fingers to Grundy's head. Solomon cries out in pain for a moment the collapses. I pull my lasso off of him and put it back to my waist.

Weather Wizard's lab is finally coming into view, and I can feel the anger twisting itself back to the surface.
Turning around, I head back toward Flash, nodding to him and confirming that it's just ahead.
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" I yell down to him.

"As ready as you!"
I cast my gaze forward again, not feeling at all reassured. I'm not ready at all, I know that, but would never utter it aloud.

Craning my neck, I scan my back as best as I can, seeing spots of red breaking their way through the white bandages. I ignore it, hoping that it will eventually stop on it's own.

After a few more miles of flying, I hear a small sound come from my communicator, followed by,
"Flash, Hawkgirl, do you read me?"

I hesitate, not wanting to know what Bruce had to say.
"Hawkgirl here, what is it Batman?"

"Where are you going?"
I clench my hand around the communicator,
"To help my friends."

"You and Flash are too weak t-"
Cutting him off, I raise my voice, the anger obviously shining through,
"Flash and I are members of the Justice League, just as you are. And if you think you can push us aside when we're truly needed, you're severely mistaken. You can either help us, or let us do what we came to."

There was a long silence, causing a hint of impatience to rise inside of me. After what seemed like an eternity he responded,
"Fifteen minutes...tops."

I smile, placing the communicator back onto my belt. Waving down Flash I feel a sense of hope filling me. Maybe this will work after all.

"It's right down there boss."

"Okey Dokey!"
I chuckle lightly as I secure my parachute and leap from the plane, leaving my muscular friend a little gift as I plummet towards the earth.

Releasing the line as my feet touch the ground, I look skyward, watching in amusement as the plane twists and sways, finally making a fatal dive into a far off hillside. Looks like another laugh till your dead costumer!
The flames licked their way up the grass, burning away all signs of life.
After a few minutes of laugh filled walking, I approach the wreckage, pulling a small bag of Marshmallows from my pocket.
"Dang, I don't have a stick! Hope you like marshmallows kiddo!"
I toss the bag into the blaze, release a low laugh, and make my way back towards the entrance.

I increase my pace, singing loudly to myself,
"I'm off to kill the Wizard, the moronic Wizard of fog!"

This is going to be so much fun!

Oh great...what now?

"What was that?"

After seeing Grundy had failed me again- and for the last time- I took the hidden elevator down to the fall-out shelter. The plan was to be set into motion now. I look up at the camera to where Superman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter stand, obviously weakened by my special room. I pick up the mic and began to talk with them.

"You people just don't learn, do you?" I yelled at them. "Fine- my plan is in motion as of now. Find me and stop me, or try and stop the tidal waves from wiping out the east coast. The choice is yours." I take out my remote and detonate the bombs several miles off the coast.

Sitting on a rock, I look up into the sky, watching the far off lights of the galaxy. I wasn't stupid enough to fall for it's peaceful look, memories of the invaders whisking through my mind.

Flash stood about twenty feet from me, yawning openly and stretching his limbs.
"Tired?"

He smiled,
"Not at all."

I shake my head,
"You're not a very good liar."

He shrugged, plopping himself on a rock next to mine.
"So how much longer do we wait for GL and Batsy?"

Throwing a blank look at him, I think aloud,
"Something could happen to the rest of the League while we wait for the other two."

He hops up,
"Right then, lets go."

I sigh, rising up next to him,
"Just one minute."
Tugging the communicator off of my belt, I speak clearly for Bruce, and wait for a response.
"Hawkgirl, Weather Wizard's activated his explosives at sea. We don't have time."
Not what I wanted to hear,
"Flash and I will-"

Tapping my arm lightly, Flash speaks lightly, bringing my attention to something about 50 feet away from us.
"Do you see that?"

A small fire burns, what appears to be a wreck of some kind, but there is someone walking away from it, who...

"Oh my God." Pausing for a minute, I pull the receiver back up to my mouth, "You're not going to believe me when I tell you who just walked up to the entrance of the lab."

After two seconds of silence, he spoke again,
"I never liked guessing games."

I strain my eyes, making sure it's actually him,
"It's your pasty faced freak."

Low rage filled his voice,
"Joker...can you handle him?"

I light up the electricity on my mace, making sure it works properly before shutting it back down.
"No problem. Keep me posted."

Glancing back at Flash I grin,
"Now we can go."

My foot lands firmly on the door, violently ripping it open. I poke my head inside, a smile drawn onto my lips.
"Hello?"

The hallway in front of me is large, empty and guarded by a single camera at the end, attached to the ceiling.
Walking casually towards the other end, I straighten out my suit. I can't be looking like a bum for the camera now can I?

Waving at the lens I wait a minute, hearing nothing. Well, this is boring. Tiring of the surveillance, I head down another corridor, checking each room before passing it.

Entering one chamber, I stop momentarily, making my way over to the large unconscious heap.
"Hello Grundy ol' pal. Did you gain some weight?"

His big eyelids flutter open, as a low groan escapes his mouth. Looks to me like the little league was here. I lean over him, my eyes staring insanely into his,
"Where's your rainy boss?"

His jaw moved slightly as if he was about to speak, but he instead drifted back into his coma like sleep. I rest a little bomb on his chest, and set it for and hour, filling the room with my obscene laughter. Plenty of time for me to kill the Wizard and amscray.

Heading back the way I had come, I quickly weave through hallways and rooms. He's got to be here somewhere!
Rounding one passage, I step on a small plastic vile.

*CRUNCH*

Something liquid and yellow sticks to the bottom of my shoe, stringing from the floor as I lift my leg.
"Eeeewww."

Voices float out from the corridor next to me. I strain my neck, peering slowly around the corner. Great, him again. He had already put me in Arkham once today, I wasn't going back until I had my piece of that Weather guy. Maybe if I turn around, they won't see me.

"Joker?"

Dang! I spoke too soon. Tossing a few gas containers down on the floor next to them, I run, my footsteps and my cackling echoing off the walls. I knew the gas wouldn't help me, and it was no surprise when I felt Superman's choking grip wrap around the back of my neck. Lifting me, he pins me against the wall.

I push out my words from beneath his squeeze.
"Come on Boy Scout, if you really want a badge for beating on psychos, you should be smacking the Bat around."
His fingers loosened just a smidge,
"What are you doing here?"

I avoid his question, looking at the other two standing so matter of factly behind him. It made me ill.
"Well looky here, two Aliens and an Amazon. Not really a fair fight, wouldn't you agree?"
I smile at Wonder Woman, but receive a glare in return. No shock there.

Raising my left arm, a card embedded in my sleeve makes it's way into my hand. I place it on Superman's chest, grinning madly as the poison seeped out, filling the air with my home made toxins.

All around me is the sound of coughing. Another job well done!
"I'm not here for you Superboy, I'm here for the pixie. Die with no hard feelings I hope."
I chuckle, walking towards the back rooms.
"Now if I were a hiding fairy, where would I go?"

Walking a little further I scan the rooms, seeing nothing but tables and chemicals. Making my way down a long stretch of just hallway, I stop, back tracking just a bit. Noticing a large crack spanning up part of the wall, I run my fingers over it, confirming what's most likely a door.
"And Bingo was his name."

Pressing firmly against the edge, a large slab of concrete silently opens, revealing a dark tunnel leading downwards.
"O."

It starts to close before I can inspect it more thoroughly, so I do what first comes to mind, step quickly inside. As it seals behind me, the entire area goes black. Wonderful.

"Here I am, rain or shine! HAHAHA!" he said as the doors opened. "The Wiz, so glad to finally meet and beat you."

"You've got three seconds to turn around and leave, or I let my trigger finger slip," I call to him. "You up on taking a chance today?"

As Batman,Steel and I consult about how to take out the Weather Wizard, suddenly the waves in the ocean roar up like beasts and start to head towards land. Seemingly the reaction started near Gotham. "He must be toying with us. He could have started it from anywhere on the coast but he choose right where we are" I think to myself. A chain reaction of explosions occuring every few seconds. I power up my ring and float off the ground.

Batman! Steel! You head over to take care of Weather Wizard and Joker, I'll handle the waves.

With that said I power my ring to full power and head over to the Tidal Waves

Before I can stop the damage of the waves I have to stop the rest of the bombs from going off, but how?

I hear people screaming from below me. The waves start to splash the homes nearby. I then see in the distance several large balls covered with spikes each connected to a wire. Once one goes off it starts a reaction to the one.

Thats it! If I can cut off the reaction from the one of bombs from continuing, the rest won't explode

I fly as fast as I can over falling the waves as they start to become larger and larger with the continuing explosions. I finally discoverwhere the next bomb is and cover it with my power ring. Finally the explosions stop but there is a problem. There is another set of bombs that has gone off creating waves expanding over 75ft.

No! If I don't stop that wave the city will be gone within seconds!

I create a giant shield as the monsterious wave heads toward the city. As the wave gets closer my shield gets larger. Finally the wave meets with my shield and pushes it several feet. I try to resist it but pushes harder and harder as if it were alive.

No, I cannot fail them. I WILL NOT FAIL THEM

I use my will power to push the waves back into the ocean but my ring is getting weaker. I use my left hand to stedy my right as I try to hold it off, I decide I must summon some power from Planet Oa to help me

In Brightest Day
In Darkest Night
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
BEWARE MY POWER
GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!!!

I scream it madly as a green light falls down from the heavens and hits me. The awesome power travels to my ring as I push it into the ocean completely blasting away the remaining bombs in the area. I float to the ground with my ring fully powered but my condition isn't as well. I know I should rest.

[i]What am I thinking? My friends are in trouble. They wouldn't rest if I were in trouble

I float off the ground and start to follow Batman and Steel's trail to get to Weather Wizards hideout

"Well?"
I fold my arms, grinning largely at the idiotic Weather Man.
He thinks he can just shoot me and that'll be it? Hehehehe, right. If it were that easy, I would've been dead centuries ago.

Watching intently, I spot the muscle on the outside of his hand contort. I use that specific muscle daily. The trigger of his odd looking gun clicks, spitting something other than a bullet at me.
I'd already expected that, and had moved skillfully out of the way. The object to flew past me, and into the passage I had entered from.

Behind us, a large BOOM tears from inside of the elevator shaft, sending me face first onto the floor. Loud flashes of light, and rumbles of what sounded like thunder shook the room around us.
I look up at him, debris covering my body.
"Hey! I could have been injured, Storm Witch."

Cramming another small capsule into his weapon, he again aims for me.
"That was the idea."

I smile, throwing a steel tipped card at his hand. It ricocheted off of his finger, only making a small sized slice, but still doing it's job. He dropped the gun.
Standing, I reach for mine, pointing it at him before he could bend for his.
"You were the one who wanted to fight dirty, Cloud Pixie."

Pulling his shoulders up, he pretends not to care that I've outbested him.
"It's Weather Wizard."

I laugh,
"You honestly think I don't know that? Apparently you don't know me that well. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this.....oh wait, it's only been just a few hours. Hehe, my how time flies."

Raising the barrel of my pistol to his head, I pull the trigger, cackling loudly as he jumps just barely. The little flag hangs proudly from the end of my gun, effectively scaring another victim.
"As I was saying, you obviously don't know me that well. Hahahahahahaha!"

"All right clown, you've made your point."
I lean in towards him,
"Not yet."
The butt of my gun slams into his jaw. He stumbles, gently resting his shoulder on the wall.
I grin, realizing he probably has no idea what he did. Patting his arm as I walk by, I stroll over to a chair sitting in front of a set of monitors. The sound of all the TV's is either down, or blown from the explosion. Relaxing a bit, I rest my feet on the switchboard, trying to watch a choppy news channel, showing images of Gangrene lamp saving the day. How's that news? Around people like me, it happens all the time!
"I take it you didn't succeed in killing anyone today."

Joining me in front of the security system, he looks at the screen, slamming his fists down onto the center console, right next to my feet.
"NO!"

"You've become another, good conquers all evil, cliche, Wiz."
He swings his fist at me, but I push back in the chair, rolling across the room and chuckling loudly.
Rushing past me, he walks towards a metal table muttering loudly to himself,
"I don't have time for you, Superman and the other two will be here soon."

I look at him, then look at the way I had come.
"Hey Wizzy, how many exits are there in this place?"

He continues to gather things from the desk in front of him,
"Just one, the elevator, why?"

Of course. Figures I would get trapped in a hole with some cornball who thinks he's Jack Frost. I walk up behind him, and smack him in the back of the head.
Whipping around, he puts up his fists, pausing for a minute to glance at what I'm pointing at.

The hole that I had used to come down here and kill him, was now completely covered with broken steel and slabs of cement.

I know I'm goofy some...okay most of the time, but honetly I'm sensitive and pretty dang smart actually...though I doubt the others would really beleive me. I feel a sappy moment coming on but I think as much as Hawkgirl and I banter back and forth, we really have gotten to know each other pretty well recently during our injuries and the like. I suddenly turn around and she practically bumps into me out of surprise.
"What are you doing!?"
She hisses from being caught off guard. I smile,
"Just wanted to say thanks."
She looks confused.
"What are you talking about Flash."
I shrug,
"Nothing really. Just thanks."
She still looks pretty lost but I've already managed to "jog" a couple yards away from her to the end of one of the halls. I can hear voices and another boom. Where is everyone?

Diana and J'onn each take one of my arms and puts them over their shoulders, despite my arguments that I can walk just fine. I want to put on a brave front, but I know damn well that I'm in no shape to do anything.

"Hey, anybody here?"

I pick up the voice, along with the sound of feet quickly hitting the floor in rapid succession.

"Flash? Over here."

It only takes about two seconds for him to reach us. When he does, he immediately focuses his attention on me.

"Hey Supes, are you okay?"

I put on a smile, but there's no humor behind it.

"I've had better days."

"Are you sure--"

"Are you here alone?"

He's a little surprised that I cut him off, but frankly, I'm tired of being treated like an invalid.

"No. Hawkgirl's here."

"Good. Your foe and The Joker are somewhere below us, and judging by the sound of things, they not talking shop."

Flash nods and turns his head. He whistles sharply, and shortly afterwards, Hawkgirl appears. Once again, the attention is focused on me.

"Superman! Are you--"

"He'll be fine. Come on, we've got to get downstairs, fast!"

Even with the mask on, I can see the look of concern on Hawkgirl's face, but I just nod. She then follows Flash back the way we came. Diana and J'onn lead me outside.

"You should rest here, Superman."

"I'll be fine. Besides, Flash and Hawkgirl will need my--"

"I will assist them. You must rest."

I want to argue with her, but Diana is right. I'm simply in no shape to lend a hand. I nod and take a seat by a tree, with J'onn standing beside me. As she disappears back into the building, I look at J'onn.

"Go with her."

"What about you?"

"Trust me, I'm not going anywhere."

"Are you certain?"

"There's strength in numbers, J'onn. And I don't want them getting caught off-guard."

J'onn hesitates briefly, then flies back into the building. Once he's gone, I lay my head against the tree and close my eyes.

"You mean that elevator?"

His eyes widen,
"No, what have you done?"

Growing slightly annoyed, I raise my voice,
"ME!? You're the one who fired that thing!"

Ignoring me, he rushes over to the pile of rubble, trying desperately to dig his way out.
I walk back over to the chair, spinning it gleefully as I sit back down.
"Calm down Wizzy, there are multiple super dopes upstairs. Chances are, they'll be here quite shortly."

Looking at me wild eyed, he opens his mouth as if to say something, but instead he returns to his burrowing.

Glancing back up at the monitors in front of me, I gasp with excitement,
"Security Cameras!" My fingers rotate the little machines back and forth, not really surveying anything as I hit random buttons.

"Wait! Go Back!!!"
He shoves my hands from the controls, turning the switch to the left. The lens rests on two more members of the Jerk League.
He clenches his fists,
"Flash and Hawkgirl as well, just magnificent."

After a few minutes of anger filled standing, he pushes my chair and me out of the way and begins typing.

What the heck was he doing?

A loud metallic sound filled the room around us, echoing loudly off of the walls.
"You shouldn't flush the toilet if you need new plumbing Weather Gnome."

He watches the doors on the screen intently, a small smile flickering on his face as large steel seals creep their way down.
Why didn't I ever make one of those?

The Martian wanders back to the closed hatch, followed closely by that Amazon broad.
"The Man Hunter is the only one who can get in and out through there, not even Superman is strong enough to bend that material. There's no chance for them now."

Did I ask to hear his plot? I really don't remember asking.
I raise my hand, fully intending on mocking him a bit more.

The dirt and rocks from the collapsed shaft start to shake, separating as a red blur protrudes from the center. Before I can look back at Wiz, he's already vanished out of a vent across the room.
"He lied."

Tweety pushes herself from the hole that the other had made.
I wave,
"My heroes."

Hawkgirl holds her mace defensively infront of her. Smart girl.

The running man yells for my attention,
"Where did he go?"

I grin, pointing at the ventilation shaft.
"He squeezed himself in there."
It wasn't like me to tattle, but I'm not one to be lied to...besides, I would never pass up the opportunity for escape.

"Will you be all right?"
Flash asked me.

I light up my mace, letting the electricity flow through it.
"Perfectly."
He nods, sliding easily into the vent.

Looking back towards the clown, I glare at him. I know none of this is his fault.....my injuries, Superman in his condition, all of us hurt....but I'm not feeling a shred of pity for him either.

He whistles lightly, walking over to a swivel chair resting before a large consol. Wheeling it over to me, he offers me the seat.
"What are you doing?"

He looks hurt,
"Why offering a lovely young hero a rest."

Gripping my mace more tightly, he smiles, shrugging.
"I'll leave it here for you, my dear."

There is no way I'm going to accept something he offered me. I would feel somehow tainted with his idiocy.

"What are you doing here?"
I look him straight in the eyes, the feeling of dread growing inside of me. I feel like he's looking into my soul. Shuddering, I look away. He grins hideously.
"Why would I gratify you with an answer to your question, when you haven't even considered my hospitality?"

I roll my eyes, pulling the chair towards me and sitting softly onto the cushion.
"There."

His smile is still spread across his face,
"I'm psychotic."

Feeling bitter at him, I yell,
"That's your reason?"

He'd casually made his way over to the switchboard, and had begun pressing buttons.
I leap up from the chair, holding my mace out in front of me.
"What are you doing?"

The same metallic noise Flash and I had heard on our way down here, creaked into my ears.
"It was a bit stuffy in here."
As he spoke, his hand dug quickly into his pocket, pulling out a small steel ball.
I struck it with my mace as he threw it at me, I really need to stop doing that.
Gas explodes from it, the air around me filling with fumes.

He laughs as I fall to the ground, coughing uncontrollably.
"What -uggghh- did -guhhhh- you do?.................he....ha....he ha ha ha ha ha!"
Oh God, I can't..I can't stop!

He joins me in hysterical laughter, only I feel the real urge to be crying instead. I struggle so hard to remain calm, but snorts and giggles escape my throat.

Tickling my side, he chuckles at me,
"It feels so much better if you let it out Birdie."

I'll kill him!
"HA HA HA HA....*CHOKE* he he, ha he he ha ha ha eh ha!"
Control yourself!!!

I stand, still unwillingly laughing, and clutching my weapon firmly in my grasp.
I'll KILL HIM!!!

With some effort, he rips the mace from my hands as I swing it at him, hitting me in the face with it before I can back away.
I did say I could handle this right?
"Ha ha ha, I'll, he he he, rip, ha he, you apart, ha ha!"

He tosses the weapon aside, and folds his arms.
"Will you?"

"No, I will."
Diana slams into him, knocking him to the floor.

I crash into the table behind me, knocking over several viles as I come to a complete stop.

The alien came soon after, leaning gently over Hawkgirl.
"She'll be dead before you know it."

Wonder Woman backhands me across the face,
"Quiet, Joker."

"She is in need of medical assistance Wonder Woman."
Nodding, she turns to him, giving me just enough time to plant my foot in her gut. She recovers very quickly, but I'm already diving into the metal vent.

I faintly hear yelling behind me as I slide down the dark shaft.
The exit comes up quickly, dropping me onto the solid earth. Where was I?

Looking around for a minute or two, I start my hike out of what appears to be a large cave.
Wiz thought of everything! I'm starting to like this guy...

I followed the clown through the vents but soon lost him. I continued on and came toan opening. It was a large carven, deep underground. I heard laughing and knew how it was. I flew threw the caves, following the laughter. I saw two figures standing over something, and decided to stop and try to listen.

"That was a mistake, clown," Weather Wizard said. "I was going to take care of Flash."

"Snooze you loose, Wizzy," Joker laughed, his foot on the chest of Flash. Weather Wizard pulled something out of his pocket and shoved it in Joker's front jacket pocket. He then punched Joker hard and stepped back.

"You thought you shocked Flash? Have a taste of this," Weather Wizard laughed. The pocket exploded in a burst of lighting, sending the Joker flying back, falling to the ground. I rushed forward and confronted the Wizard.

"Alright," I said. "Give up and I won't use any force against you."

I clenched my jaw as J'onn followed the Joker. I start to follow him as well when Hawkgirl let out another series of giggles.

I growled slightly, upset about walking away from a battle. I picked up Hawkgirl as she laughed crazily. I carried her as quickly as i could, following the path we had taken inside, back out to where we had left Superman.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Joker." I growled. "When Batman arrive3s have him administer the Joker antidote. I'm going back in." I paused, looking over Superman, "You'll be alright here with Hawkgirl?" He nods and I respond with the same.

I push off and fly back into the building, following our path again and soon squeezing through the same vent the clown went through.

I clench my jaw, the pain of the electricity still surging through me.
And to think I let that pixie live!

Everything around me is a large blur, my vision fading in and out repetitively. Does that freak even realize who he's dealing with?

The Martian had followed me down the shaft, confronting the weather man as I lay "unconscious" on the ground, giving me the perfect opportunity to sneak out of this place.

Pulling a small bomb from my jacket, I carefully and quietly arm it, setting it gently onto the ground next to me. This should finish what I came to do.

I try to silently slink across the dirt, but am quickly spotted.
The alien's eyes fall on me as I stand, then down onto the ticking device at our feet.
"Stop."
So much for sneaking.

He reaches for me, but of course I'd thought of something like that. Doesn't anyone ever listen to Bats? Expect the unexpected! Come ON!
My zapper comes in contact with his green skin, my kind of color I might add, bringing him to his knees with a little yell.
I love the fulfilling sound of pain!

He slumps to the ground, leaving just me, the Wiz and.....Wonder Woman!

"The only one I'm after is him." I point at the Weather Wizard, who's standing dumbly in front of us.
"At the moment anyway."

"Not while I'm here."
Wonder Woman steps in between us, readying herself to fight.
I sigh,
"I'm not one for hand on hand fighting...that's why I cheat! HA HA!!!"

As I spoke, my hand resting comfortably on the handle of another gun I had concealed in my jacket.
I quickly tear it out, firing one shot at Weather Wizard, then another four at Wonder Woman.

All of the bullets are simply deflected by her, but the one that had gone in Wiz's direction clipped him in the shoulder as he dove out of the way. As long as there was some blood spilt before he was blown to pieces I can still smile!

He growls in pain,
"I'll kill you clown."

I point the gun at his head,
"I think it's the other way around, Wiz!"

The gun is swiftly kicked from my hand, a slender but forceful fist slams against my stomach. I gasp for air, clutching my gut as I fall to the dirt.

Looking up at Wonder Woman from the ground, I slide my fingers into my pocket, playing with my favorite new toys.

"You should loosen up babe."
She dodged them again, but the gas had already begun to leak. She had no choice but to back away from it, giving me plenty of time to get the heck out of here.

My laugh echoes off of the cave walls as I run, my feet slapping loudly against the soil.
As I finally reach the opening, I turn to look behind me, searching for any sign of a pursuit. I wouldn't be able to see anything even if it were in light outside.
Twisting back around my eyes catch sight of something right before I hit it.

BAM!

I stumble backwards, finding my balance just before collapsing again. Straining to see, I feel sort of a sickening emotion creep through me as I recognize him.
"Batman! Just the pointy eared freak that I've been looking for."

This was going to hurt.

My eyes slowly ceased watering, but Joker's gas had taken from me any means of energy that I could have faked to stay in the fight.
The pain in my back is so severe, I can't even see straight, and all I can do is wonder how I'm going to get back up and help my friends.

I glance at Superman resting calmly beside me. He looks just as weak as I do. Another wave of worry washes over me as I watch him, his breathing slow and his face concentrated. If I could help him somehow, I would.....he returns the stare, eyeing me carefully.

"Are you all right Hawkgirl?"
I look away, trying hard to make it seem as though I were.

"I'm fine."
I lied.

He knew I wasn't being honest.
"I can't let you go back in there."

I throw him a pretty forceful look, feeling growing anger boil inside of me. Defiantly pushing myself from the grass, I look down at him, wobbling and struggling to stand.
"It's not your choice Superman. I don't need your permission."

I calm, trying to smile,
"I'm sorry Superman....I...I can't just stay here to rest while the others are fighting, I have to help..."

He rises next to me, supporting me as I begin to totter and fall.
"Kendra, please.."

My eyes loose focus, a strange burning sensation rushing over my entire body. What's happening?

Superman lowers me to the ground as I start to shake and twitch.
"Hawkgirl?"

Oh God, I feel like I'm on fire!
I gasp for air, reaching out to clutch Superman's shoulder.
"Superman, h-h-ee-l-p muh-me..."

Oh GOD IT HURTS!
White light clouds over my sight of Clark, leaving me blinded and confused.

A building seizure begins it's course as I black out.

I stretch my feet, trying to reach the surface beneath me. Batman's fists are buried deep into my collar, easily hanging me like a rag doll.

"What does that mean Joker?"
He seethed.

I smile through a bloodied lip,
"Just what I said Batsy. Isn't it fun being the pawn of a psychopath?"

He drops me, leaning in so close that I can smell his breath....hmmm, it's rather minty actually. Go figure!
"Talk clown."

Laughing, I try to choke out words,
"Even if I do, he he, it won't save her Batman. You've killed her! HA HA HA HA HA!!!"

A firm hand struck my cheek bone, knocking me firmly down. He pulls me back up, again dangling me above him.
"This is your last chance Joker..."

I wave my hands in a form of surrender, might as well give up now, I'm not getting where at the moment. I'll wait until he's cooking up another batch of chemicals to save his little Hawk friend.
"You really should try my new Smilex Bats, even you haven't figured out this one....in fact, the second half of it is dependent on you! HA HA HA HA!!!"

He struck me again, yelling in my face,
"How?"

Wiping away a tear in the corner of my eye, I continue,
"Stage two is in fact your antitoxin! HA HA HA HA!!!!!"

A horrified look splashed over his face as I uttered my joke. I love when I'm winning.

He runs into the distance, leaving me standing there, free and unattended. There had to be a catch.

Sure enough, out of the darkness came twisting ropes, yanking me backwards and attaching my chest to an oak tree behind me.

"Steel, bring the Batmobile to my position!" I say. I pick Hawkgirl up and place her over my shoulder.

"What's wrong with her?" Clark asks.

"Joker's developed a new type of Smilex that counter-acts the antitoxin."

His finger presses a small button on the console in front of us, emitting a blistering heat from the vents on my side. It felt wonderful.

Flipping another switch, he begins to talk, but not to me.
"Alfred, I'm going to need a few supplies for an analysis of new Joker Toxin."

A dignified English voice came from a speaker of some sort,
"New Sir?"
The same man that had helped Flash and I from the house.

"I'll explain when we arrive."

You could tell that he had wanted to ask about Batman saying WE but he withheld his inquiries and responded with a simple,
"Yes, Sir."

I lean back, trying hard to focus on the stars, and not the growing blackness in my eyesight.

The voice behind me is filled with a sort of anger, really quite annoying actually.
I turn around, pasting a large grin on my face.
"Lightbulb! Good to see you!"

He smiles back,
"I owe you, from the cave."

He takes a step closer to me, reaching for my arm. What, he thinks I'm just going to come quietly? Now that's funny.
From this angle he looks really bad, pasty and slightly glistening. Obviously no sick days for the modern hero.
"You know, you should never distract a clown while they are performing a trick, it can cause an accident."
Shrugging, he clutches my jacket, pulling me in the direction Bats went. No one listens to me these days, not even Harley!

"Breathe deep Flashlight!" I yell as I squeeze a ball by his face, throwing on one of my collection of gas masks hidden in my coat. It was a sedative, knocking him out for a long enough period of time for me to slip by the others and get out of here.

I take a few steps, stopping as an idea pops into my head.
"Then again..." Wheeling around, I return to the spot that he lay unconscious, pulling another ball from my front pocket. I press firmly, releasing the gas slowly from the containers. Inside lay my new toxin, stages one and two. Looks like the League is going to have two to save before the fatal seizures kick in. The Flash

Batman had always warned about the Joker. And there was a split second there where I was kicking myself and hearing him say "I told you so, didn't I?". That is, until the gas swept around to me and I had breathed it in before getting a chance to dash out of the room. Blasted clown. And playing dead wasn't the best idea. The gas hadn't completely knocked me out, but I wanted to give the clown a bit of space before coming up from behind him. Certainly not my best idea. I could see without needing to that I was in for a doozy as he came back. The new gas started working incredibly fast. My entire body was searing with pain and I was coughing uncontrollably. Amid the blinding pain I heard Joker trotting off down the hall, and I silently thanked Batman for putting a communicator into my suit.
"Ah geezus..."
I gasped inbetween coughs as I tried to raise myself up on my elbows. The pain seemed to intensify tenfold with even the slighest of movement. Sweat began to trickle down my forehead behind my mask, mingling in with the tears that were forming at the corner of my eyes. It was something like this that would make me violate one of those 'sacred superhero code thingies'. Without a second thought on it I ripped off my mask, wiping at my face with the back of my hand. I turned the communicator on. God I hope one of them is still nearby. The weight on my elbows gave and I slammed back against the floor. That's going to hurt later. The pain, nausea and quickly approaching darkness on my eyes was leaving me gasping for breath.
"--gu..ys...it's..Flash."
I closed my eyes tightly as I tried to get out a few more words.
"Big...trouble..Joker--gasss...."
My head began to swim as I finished the rest of the message, before losing consciousness completely.

God, I can't take this anymore. I'm too weak to be of any use to my team. I mean, the people call me Superman, but I haven't done anything remotely "Super" in years. Falling to the likes of Weather Wizard? What the hell is wrong with me?

As I lift myself off the ground, I hear helicopters in the distance. In all likelyhood, it's the police, and I'm sure the media is right behind them. Well, I'm in no condition...or mood...to deal with that.

*J'onn, can you read me?*

*Yes, Superman.*

*What's the situation?*

*Wonder Woman and I have come across Flash, and he appears to be suffering from some type of gas.*

*Probably that damn Joker toxin. Contact Batman and get Flash over to him, fast!*

The choppers close in fast, driving my urge to escape up to a higher level. I wasn't much in the mood to be torn apart by the rest of the jerk squad.

The timer on the front of it says 5 minutes.....ten bucks it'll never go off, with seconds to spare....I hate heroes.

He's not in here. They must've taken him outside.

After reaching the outdoors, it doesn't take me long to find him. Three of them hovered over the limp figure of Flash, leaving the Pixie completely unattended.

I place my hand over his mouth as I grab his hurt arm, leaving the ropes that bound him for the time being.
"Shhh." I drag him away, whispering in his ear. "I know you weren't idiotic enough not to have an escape plan. Tell me, what's the quickest way to get of here?"

My fingers uncurl from around his lips,
"Why should I help you, you crazy clown?! You shot me!"

His voice doesn't attract the attention I thought it was going to, but I clamp my hand over his trap again anyway, pulling a gas ball from my pocket and holding it right infront of his face.
"Because I don't want to end up back at Arkham, and you would like to live to see another day. I think it's in your best interest to help me Weather Witch."

"There's a ship in the back of the compound." He chokes out between my fingers, "But you need my hand print to access it."

After placing me on one of the tables in his cave, he sterilized a needle, and took a small sample of my blood.
"This shouldn't take long."

I nod, laying down as another wave of pain washes over me. The only way to describe it was as if I had been bitten all over with a nest of Fire Ants, all continuously attacking me in rage.

I head into my suit locker and pull out a spare costume. Heh, good old mom. After my last tumble with Darkseid, she decided to spend an entire week stitching together spare costumes for me so that I wouldn't have to bug her everytime one got ripped up. Not that she really had any problems with sewing, but I figure it was good to spare her the trouble. I'll have to drop by the farm when I can get some free time.

"Braniac, activate the Solar Chamber."

ACKNOWLEDGED.

As I step out with my clean suit, I pick up the old one and place it in a tray.

"I'll also need you to clean this. And while you're doing that, analyze the liquid that's on it, okay?"

AFFIRMATIVE.

As I begin to walk towards the chamber to revitalize myself, I turn my head and give Braniac another thing to do.

"Oh, one more thing. Notify me of any calls from the Justice League."

WILL THAT BE ALL, KAL-EL?

A cold sweat is resting on my brow, my body shaking from an illness that was completely unexpected. I'll kill that clown.

Batman sits at his computer, copying information from a small vile in his hands, onto the filing systems in his hardware.

I clear my throat, trying to put on a smile as he turns around in his chair.
"Feeling better?"

I nod, relishing a long, deep breath.
"Yes, I see you found a cure."

He turns back to the screen,
"The antidote to this toxin wasn't as complex as I had anticipated. Joker couldn't have put that much thought into it's structure. There was a large amount of a specific chemical, that's what was triggering the seizures, so finding a drug that counteracted that wasn't difficult. It's a mix of chemicals, but mostly the seizure drug Phenobarbital. As shown with you, it takes effect almost immediately."

Clever.
"Where are the others?"

His hands keep pressing keys,
"J'onn and Diana are on their way here. I'll need to administer the antidote to Flash as well. Superman is recuperating."

Flash too? My rage is fanned by this news.
"And the Joker?"

He pauses, then stands, pressing a far button the keyboard and attempting to hail someone.
This was my fault. He was so involved in helping me that he had to let the Joker go. I'll make it up to him when I crush that clown's face with my fists.

Thinking it over, I turn down his offer, punching the first red switch I see. Something explodes.
"Oops." I say with a smile.

He pushes me out of the way,
"You're going to kill us, Joker."

All right, I'll let him drive for now. I need to keep an eye on him anyway.

I lean back in the passenger seat, kicking my shoes off, and relaxing with my feet up.
"This thing is well furnished, Wiz."

He grumbles something that I can't hear, so I let it go, laughing silently to myself. This could be the start of a beautiful relationship, whether I have to kill him or not.

The darkness around Wayne Manor is pure horror, the gates at the end of the driveway shake against one another as a violent wind blows. The darkness is no more as a white vortex appears out of nowhere. I slowly walk out with my left arm bleeding like a river. My costume is torn and I hunch as if I real slammed into the Great Wall of China and right now I feel like it to.

Batman, someone.......pl...please he--

I fall to the ground, my body severly slashed, I use the last bit of energy I have in my ring to fly me over to the door. I try my hardest to knock as loud as I can but all I can get are weak taps. Thank god the Butler was dusing near the door at the time. He opens the door

Oh my god...

"Weather Wizard and Joker are out of our range. There's no way I can keep up with them."
Diana answered through the comm link.

I clench my jaw, the bubbling feeling of rage growing inside of me.
I can't let them get away, not after all that they've put us through.
"I'm going."

Batman looks at me from his seat, his expression showing signs of an argument.
"No."

My mouth hangs slightly open.
"No?"

He nods once,
"No."

Who the heck does he think he is?!
"I don't need your approval, Batman. I'm perfectly-"

"Hard headed." He interrupts.

I walk over to him, crossing my arms and trying to seem more dominant than him. Yeah right.
"Excuse me?"

He turns his chair in my direction, his face carrying no emotion.
"You're in no condition to face either of them, together or alone."
I huff loudly as he continues,
"Your tendency to rush into battle is what caused all of your injuries. If you had waited, taken the time to think of a-"

"And let them flee? You're method has been applied in tonight's situation and the two of them are now successfully outrunning any attempts at capture." I shoot back. "I've never questioned your methods Bruce, because I respect you, and realize that they work for you. Don't tell me how or when to fight my battles. My way works for ME!, and as a member of this league, I am perfectly capable of making my own decisions!"

For a minute or two he stares with a silent anger, the thoughts in his mind an itching mystery to me.
He opens his mouth to a small slit, ready to speak again.

"Sir!" Alfred ran down the stairs, shouting with serious urgency.

Bruce rises from the chair, quickly meeting him at the base of the steps.
"What is it, Alfred?"

He says something very quiet, something I can't hear, and they both sprint towards the entrance to the house.
What's going on?

I was about to follow them when another sound stole my attention. A figure emerged from the dark pathway to the exit, growing steadily larger by the minute. It's J'onn, and in his arms is another fallen member of the Justice League.

I rush towards him as he lands, resting my hand on Flash's moist forehead. His body contorts in pain, twitching and revolting against chemicals that only The Joker and Batman truly understand.
J'onn looks at me expectantly,
"The cure..."

I nod,
"Yeah, I'll get Batman."

I fight off the urge to punch something as I scale the stairs, the sight of Flash turning my stomach around.
Just an hour earlier, I had been going through the exact same thing, and I felt sorry for him now. My insides crying out for him.

I rest my hand on the wall as I exit the cave, ignoring the spinning room around me and the insistent urge to vomit. Following the sound of voices, I almost run into a hunched shadow headed my way.
My eyes focus, a sickening red leaving a trail on the no doubt million dollar carpet.
"Oh my God..."

Green Lantern rested fittingly in Bruce's arms, lacerations covering his face and body, not to mention the blackening bruises growing a deeper shade of blue with time. Batman pulled away from me as I reached for the heap in his grasp, making his way swiftly down into the cave.

Looking at the slender British man standing flustered before me, I rest my hands against my head.
"What.....what happened to him?"

He shook his head,
"I haven't the slightest idea, Miss."

"Did you see or hear anything?"

Again, his head moved back and forth,
"Nothing, Madam, the only sounds were of him at the door, and the storm outside."

I stare blankly ahead as he joins Batman downstairs. This is just ridiculous, if any more of us are incapacitated, there won't be a league left.

I'm going. He won't let me if I go back down there.
He has no right to boss me around, anyway.

I head for the front door, not thinking of the risk I'm taking with his identity. Lucky for me, no one is around, and it's pretty dark outside. The moon gives off an eerie glow as I stretch my wings, the words of Alfred rolling through my mind,
'Nothing, Madam, the only sounds were of him at the door, and the storm outside.'

My eyes cast upwards. Stars reply back at me with their bright twinkling....how odd...

"That was just the prototype." I explain to the narrow minded wizard. "I threw it together in less than an hour. I'm sure Bats has already come up with the cure for it."

He sits silently in the passenger's seat for a minute, contemplating my offer.
"It's a deal clown. But there are some conditions."

I pull my gun from my jacket, setting it gently on my leg.
"Yes?" I ask with a large smile.

He glares, unfazed.
"Don't attempt to intimidate me Joker."

I shrug,
"It was never my intention, Weather Man." I'm obviously a liar.

"I want 55% of what we get. And I'll do the math."

I grow angry turning to yell in his face, "I'm a crazy, Weather Witch, not an idiot! You get 30%, and your life. Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me!"

He pulls it together, "Fine, and I have your guarantee that there won't be any double crosses or set ups."

I grin largely,
"You have my word, Wiz."

"How ever much that's worth..." He sighs under his breath. I heard him, but luckily for him, I'm a man of my word.

My sleep is haunted with nightmares, my mind wonders as I shake under the covers. The images of what happened to me terrorifes my very being. I sit up in a cold sweat... I wish it were only a dream but as I stare out the large glass window I see the moon shining. Bandages cover my entire body. Down the hall I hear the voice of Batman and and older gentleman speaking. It wasn't a dream

"John, you're awake. What the hell happened to you? Lay back down"

Batman asks me as it enters the room, still in uniform with his cowl off.

"I....I don't know what happened. I was flying to meet you and Steel after I stopped one of the Weather Wizard's traps when this bright white light come out of nowhere. It.......It came so close and so fast I couldn't get out of it's way and I was sucked in. After I got sucked in I--"

As I try to remember what happened next my mind starts to hurt with a great deal of pain. My muscles spaz out of control and I start to show signs of a seziure. After a few seconds I stop and fall back in the bed knocked out.

Several minutes later I slowly wake up

"John! Damnit John wake up!"

"Wha.....what happened?"

"This is odd but...you had a seziure as you were about to tell me what happened after you got sucked in. Whoever did this to you must of put a mental block on you so you wouldn't try to remember without seriously harming yourself."

"Sir, would you like anything"

I look over at bruce's Butler, I remember him from the cave.

"No thank you, I need to go back out there and try and figure out--"

I am cut off by Bruce

"Not in your condition, plus your ring needs to recharge. I have things under control"

Somewhere in the midst of blinding pain and extreme feelings of hot, cold and nausea I felt a needle prick my skin. That caused me to fight the pain to open my eyes for a moment and see the images of Batman and Hawkgirl slowly swim into focus for me. Thank the stars, I thought, someone made an antidote. Out of the corner of my eye I saw GL...looking like hell. My eyes widened as a shock of searing pain ripping through my body.
"John-
I managed to rasp out. Oh god buddy, what happened to you? My head swam again as my body instantly made a move to leap off the medical table. Batman somewhat forcefully grabbed my shoulder to keep me from falling off the table and flat on my face. He and Hawkgirl started talking but their voices began to feel very distant. I shook my head a bit...okay, bad move there. Someone pulled me back to a lying down position on the table as my vision began to blur again. Damn clown, was the last thought I had before slipping back into unconsciouness.

Unbelievable.

I was once one of the richest men on the planet. My name commanded respect from my peers, and instilled fear in the millions of worker ants under my thumb from all over the globe. When you dealt with Lex Luthor, you were dealing with a man who built his fortune from the ground up. Unlike that mannequin Wayne, I created Lexcorp with my own two hands. It began with my revolutionary suborbital aircraft, the Lexwing. No one believed it would fly. And the Joint Cheifs thought they were looking at another Spruce Goose. But my plane flew, and that's when the money started to roll in. Luthor Aeronautics became Lexcorp, and things were never the same. I bought two struggling airlines and combined them into LexAir. When OPEC threatened to put the squeeze on American interests, I bought Southwestern Petroleum and turned it into LexOil. I bought a Metropolis TV station and a satellite company and created LexCom. But...none of that matters now...thanks to Superman.

I ultimately have no one to blame but myself. When that alien and his alpha males created their own supergroup, I should've studied them carefully. I should've known everything there is to know about them. But I grew cocky and complacent. When Superman came after me about that arms deal, I thought I finally had him. But I was wrong. Not only did I lose my company, but I've also lost my health. The only thing keeping me alive is this damn bluky contraption attached to my chest.

Simply unbelievable.

And now, here I am, forced to spend my days in this dank cave along the shore of some godforsaken New England hamlet. I can't go out without a disguise, and this town simply doesn't have the materials I need to keep going. All I have is my Lexosuit, but it won't do me any good here.

But...I will return. The phoenix rose from its ashes, and so shall I. One way or another, I will reclaim my empire. And the first step on my road back to glory, is the death of the man who put me in this position.

"You will die, alien. It's simply a matter of time."

Once inside I wade through the mess, wishing I had kept Harley around a little longer to clean up the place. One of the only things she was ever good for anyway.

I clear off a chair, landing with a thud into an extremely uncomfortable position.
"Have a seat, Wiz!"

After a few seconds of staring he pushes off some garbage from the stool farthest from me, and sits.

Propping my feet up on a near by box, I grin hideously and toss him a semi clean towel for his injury.

There's too much to take care of before I can relax.

Batman had put up an almost endless fight after I had gone back downstairs. I'd ended up leaving without his consent.

I don't need it anyway. I'm perfectly capable of deciding these things for myself. I didn't need anyone concerning over my well being.

Pulling out my communicator, I attempt to hail Wonder Woman, waiting patiently for a response. She might have some idea as to what direction Joker and Weather Wizard had gone.

I sit up in my bed and rub my eyes, then look at the clock. 12:10 AM? God, only 30 minutes of "sleep" this time. Might as well face it, Clark. There's something eating away at you, and until you deal with it, you can forget about sleep.

I flip the switch, chuckling with glee at the thought of what my treasures will do to Gotham. While they sleep off their over the counter sleep aids, and reoccurring hangovers, I'll wait impatiently for my toys to do their tricks.

One-hundred activated bombs silently countdown under the streets of the innocent. Nothing will sound more beautiful to my ears than the painful laughs rising through the crisp morning air.

Again I laugh, the thought of heroes spoiling my fun all too humorous to me. Even if they found out the gas was there...they'd never be able to find them all before they detonated.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
A bum under a newspaper stares at me wild eyed, his struggle in keeping warm disrupted by an incredibly handsome cackling pasty fellow across the street. I mean me of course.

I burrow into my pockets, pulling out a $20 from my left side. I stroll up beside him balling it enough to toss it down at him.

"Bless you."
He gurgles at me.

I try not to gag at the obvious thanks he spewed at me,
"Go get smashed, tubby."
Hell, it's the best state of mind to be in once this stuff kicks in. Maybe I'll do so just to get rid of the aching pain in my cheek bone.
I reach my fingers up to it and gently press, the spot of impact still amazingly sore. Batman always knows just where to hit on a guy to make his face feel like it's eaten itself. He'll be to preoccupied with finding a cure for this enhanced chemical, to come greet me with his fists....on second thought, Blue Boy might come instead...perhaps I'll not view the wreckage afterall. I giggle with anticipation, the thought of my inevitable victory weighing heavily on my ego. Sometimes I wish I could kiss myself.
After all these years...all those failed attempts...Gotham City will fall to it's knees.
The last laugh will be mine after all.

Screeching to a halt, I leap out of the car, yank open the doors and am disgusted at the sight before me. Bud and Lou lay sleeping on the floor, right next to an empty chair. Since there isn't a scrap of body to be found, I have to assume that he ran.

I kick the mutts as I walk by, part of my overall plans ruined by his absence. DAMN that Wizard!!!
I gather up my things quickly, leaving the last two things that attached me to Harley, to rot.

After bidding the hyenas ado and wishing a painful death upon them, I hop back into the vehicle with a laugh......the feeling of giddiness so overwhelming that I'm starting to feel the sickness bubble and chunk up in my throat.

Starting up the engine, I shoot out of the parking lot, speeding towards Metropolis with a horrific grin on my lips.

I pull back my sleeve, gleefully watching the last seconds of my timers reduce to nothing.

1:30 AM

[I]Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean....

My vast aerial armada lies rotting on the ocean floor. Their sunken hulks lying like vanquished beasts. Slowly they submit to rust, decay, and age. I look away in disgust. My chief lieutenant stands beside me, awaiting orders. I give them.

"Take her forward at full speed."

He bows faithfully and turns to execute my commands. I had done what no other man had done. I had conquered the time barrier; I had ruled the world. Vandal Savage reigned supreme. Until they arrived. Those meddlesome fighters, parading around in ridiculous costumes. They had ended an empire.

"Sir, do wish the rest of the fleet to follow, or go on and scout ahead?"

Interruptions. I disdain them. One of my many minions like them all incessantly bothering me with details. The fleet. A joke. In the time that I had been imprisoned, when the time space continuity had been restored to normal, what had been my army in the present day before I even attempted to change the past had degraded to a few submarines and some Island bases. But like the Phoenix I shall rise from the ashes.

"Send them ahead. I have no need for speed. I have nothing."

Those meddlesome fighters had left me there, in that in that underwater prison, and there I had lain for sixty years. But they miscalculated me. I have not ruled many, conquered all, and manipulated history to my liking by myself. Many have followed me, and some have betrayed me. But all those that count themselves as loyal will die for me. If I could die. And that is the beauty. Long after this self proclaimed Justice League has faded into the annals of history I shall live on.

Slightly turning I take a last look at what was. Through the observation glass I take on last look as my mighty dreams, my army slips out of view as we move forward.

Never could they have guessed that my followers would find me. Never could they have guessed that I would survive, trapped under water for sixty years with but one thought: That I would destroy the Justice League.

Lex Luthor. He could be a great ally or a great opponent. My research reveals that he has all ready tried to kill the Justice League and in particular the one called Superman once. But he failed miserably. He disappeared months ago to lick his wounds like a beaten dog. Together perhaps we could develop a plan to destroy the Justice League. I must be careful in these times though, for I will not fall a second time.

A Legion. I must form a legion to destroy the Justice League. A Legion of Doom with which I will crush them. I will need the help of this one called Luthor. He knows much about Superman, about the League. But I will need others, other talents. I nod to my Chief Lieutenant signaling for him to come over where I am.

“Have all my scientists working on this for me. I want a list of super powered criminals. Ones that could be useful to me in my quest.”

“Yes sir.”

I will need several talents. Brain of course but I have that. I will need brute muscle, yes I will need a lot of that. I’m sure there are those with special talents that will come in very useful.

*ten minutes later*

A rough list has been prepared. One of my men brings me a disk. I slip it into a laptop and begin to view it. It is a rough list quickly prepared but it will give me a rough idea of what is out there to choose from. Some have pictures while others don’t.

Solomon Grundy. Muscle if I’ve ever seen it. Him and Luthor have worked together. That could be bad or good depending on the situation.

Joker. A hated enemy of the Justice League member called Batman. He has no powers but his knowledge could prove useful. He would be a very loose cannon though. I would have to watch him.

Copperhead, Shade, Clayface, Bane, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Metallo, Parasite, really why do these villains all have to have such ridiculous sounding code names? I need no such code name. For my name is power, I am Vandal Savage.

Weather Wizard. Now this one looks promising. He is a master of the weather. Some one with such talents could prove useful. We shall see, we shall see.

I turn to my chief pilot and instruct him to head for the city known as Gotham City. We can remain hidden in the harbor there and see what plans can be made.

Wonder Woman (you) - Though she tried to stop Joker and succeeded in foiling his plan to kill Weather Wizard, Diana was unable to give chase because of the gas Joker released in the cave.

Once outside, Joker is approached by Batman and beaten just a bit. ;)
He tells Batman of his two stage toxin that will kill Hawkgirl in less than an hour, forcing Batman to tend to Shiera and not Joker.
Left behind, tied to a tree, Joker frees himself from his bonds and is stopped by the Flash. A few brief words are exchanged before Wally is gassed with the same toxin as Hawkgirl, leaving Joker free to collect Weather Wizard, and escape in his jet.

Wonder Woman tries to go after them, but they've already gotten too far out of range in Weather Wizard's plane.

Batman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, and Green Lantern - They're all in Wayne Manor/The Batcave.
J'onn brought Wally back to the batcave after he'd been infected with the toxin. (It causes severe fever/change in temperature, and eventually seizures.)
Batman found the cure for the original gas, but Joker's made a new and improved one and plans on releasing it in Gotham City.
Green Lantern's story will probably reveal more, but John has been transported back from another world, injured and out of it. Batman is trying to help him recover long enough to explain all that happened.

Hawkgirl - After being cured of the gas, Hawkgirl met up with Wonder Woman in an attempt to find Joker and Weather Wizard. They didn't have much luck, and ended up heading home in an attempt for some rest.

Superman - Injured and in need of some rejuvenation, Clark goes to his fortress of solitude, resting his body and mind while recuperating from the kryptonite Weather Wizard released on him.
Succumbing to his exhaustion, Clark falls asleep while recovering, only able to sleep for a short period in time before being awakened by a horrible dream.
With no other reason to stay at the fortress, Superman flew back to his apartment in Metropolis, trying to get some sleep before he's needed again.

Steel - Is currently unaccounted for. Last we know, he was outside of Weather Wizard's lab.

Lex Luthor - Hiding from the world and resenting his condition, and status, Lex plots to destroy the one man he feels is responsible for his demise...Superman.

Joker - Escaping the league, Joker and Weather Wizard head back to Gotham, Joker revealing his plans for the City, and the interest in involving Weather Wizard. The two temporarily cease fire, parking the jet outside of the City's edge, and hitching a ride back to Joker's home/warehouse.
After building a few of his gas bombs, Joker heads out into Gotham to plant them, leaving Weather Wizard alone in his home and guarded by Bud and Lou.
The gas is currently pumping into the air of Gotham City, seeping into the lungs of the citizens.

Weather Wizard - Currently he's unaccounted for, turning up missing when Joker came back to the warehouse to collect him.

Vandal Savage - Angry at the league for stopping his deadly plan, Vandal plans on rebuilding an Injustice League type organization, stacking up enough supervillains to finally kill the Justice League.

As I head away from the scene I receive a telepathic message from J'onn.

All Justice League members, your assistance is required in Gotham. Come to the batcave.

Making an almost complete 180 I toward Gotham.

1:17 AM

I arrive over Gotham. Even from up here I can hear quite laughter from the city below.

"The clown." I growl.

Soon I arrive in the cave to find Wally lying on the table unconscious and John lying on another.

"What's going on?"

"Joker's released his gas into the city." Batman growls angrily.

"How can I help?"

ooc: It's a lot shorter than I would have liked, but I don't know what else to do.

1:30am

I tear the mask from my face, inhaling the beautiful smell of my gas. No better time than the present to see if my anti toxin works...

After a minute or two of nothing, I nod, feeling quite satisfied with myself and my handiwork. I let a large smile build across my face, kicking a woman off of the curb as I jump up onto the sidewalk and wander through the dozens of Gothamites on the ground. Looking down at one that's starting to feel the first stage of the burning temperatures and painful jolts, I wave.
"Isn't it a beautiful morning?"

When he doesn't answer me, I pull out my gun, ending his suffering in one quick, merciful blow.

I love playing God.

I think the problem is, we're all trying to find things to do at 2 in the morning. :p

Seriously though, if we could only push this ahead to a more reasonable hour (say 7 or 8AM), then maybe things will pick up. I can probably do some more stuff with Lex, and I can finally access Clark Kent.

OOC: If fastfowarding the story would help kickstart everyone, then I'm all for it if everyone else is. Just how many people do we have that are still present? More importantly, how many people do we have that are still interested in keeping this RPG going? Please post your responses within the week.

Works for me I'm in a sub. We do have the problem of the fact that all of Gotham is in laughing gas. If we fast forwarded the story everone would be dead.

OOC: I'm still interested most certainly, but even though speeding it up might work in general...Joker has just released the gas over Gotham, and well...if it's not stopped, Gotham would be dead by morning...That is unless you all want to pretend that the time the gas was released into the streets was at 7am. :p Works for me, cause Joker doesn't sleep anyhoo.

Like I said, even though no one commented on it, we can ALL pretend that I released the gas at like 6am. Sound good?

It seems that several of you are in agreement that fastforwarding the time would be helpful so now the time in this RPG is currently 6am. So now everyone POST!

IC: Joker

6:00am

All around me I can hear coughing, the morning workers suddenly finding themselves engulfed in my fragrant toxin.
But nothing else stirs.

No sirens.

No whooshing of capes.

No shadows moving in the night.

They've forgotten about me already?!
Pulling out a gun from under my jacket, I randomly pick eight people for the eight bullets.

*BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM*

The hideous grin remains on my face as their bodies fall limply to the streets.
Taking a pause from my giggles, I listen intently, STILL hearing nothing aside from the screaming of the innocent.

While granted that's a beautiful sound, it's not ol Batsy coming to put me away again. And I'd so wanted to boast of my evil plot before carelessly letting him get away, too...

Shrugging, I wander down the street, kicking a dying woman out of my way as I make my way to the docs.
This is boring, I think I'll "rent" a boat from that fat merchant down there.

Last night was definately one for the books, and just a little embarrasing for me. I've been downed by villains before, but to fall to a guy like the Weather Wizard...ugh. I'll just brush my teeth and turn on the radio. That should get my mind off things.

*click*

"Repeating this morning's breaking news out of Gotham City, a strange gas, not unlike the one that once blanketed the city years ago and turned everyone affected by it into laughing lunatics, has once again appeared. However, reports are indicating that this type of gas is much more leathal, and unconfirmed fatality numbers have already entered into the twenties."

Joker...

WOOSH!!!

----------

Flying faster than I usually do, I arrive in downtown Gotham in about 10 minutes. The gas cloud is getting bigger, and despite my abilities, I know I won't be able to handle this all by myself.

But that doesn't mean I can't get a good head start. I just hope they don't mind the tornado...

I gaze intently out the forward window. "Swing out helm to port."

My orders are obeyed within seconds, the helsman swinging us round in my desired direction. "This city is an island correct?"

A techie nods. "Scanner sweeps indicate the main exit is a bridge located several kilometers from out present location."

I rub my chin thoughtfully. "Has the mysterious gas disapated any?"

"Prepate a landing party, full gask masks and blasters. Have them ready."

He nods and goes off. "Gotham Bridge should be coming into view within minutes sir."

I grin. "Prepate the forward torpedo tubes."

Just as I am about to pour the vial full of anti-toxin into the syringe, an alarm klaxon starts blaring. I set the vial back into its rack and stride over to the Batcomputer. Diana comes up behind me.

"Joker's released the gas into the city." I growl.

"Great Hera! Diana exclaims.

"Exactly."

"How can I help?"

"Follow me. I head over to a large containment locker and grab two Biohazard Suits. I toss one to Diana. "Put that on."

Suddenly, J'Onn phases through the floor. I give him a Biohazard suit to put on. I then issue them with small tranquilizer-like pistols for administering the anti-toxin. I show them how to use the pistols, and give each of them a utility belt full of spare anti-toxin capsules.

"All set?"

Flying at top speed, I finally arrive in Gotham...and I don't like what I see. The gas is almost over the entire city. It's moving much faster than I thought possible.

"Well, here I go."

I take a deep breath and dive into the mist, placing myself in what I guess is the center of this thing. Positioning myself, I begin to spin, faster and faster, gathering the gas around me and forming a small tornado. Not sure how long this will take, since I've never tried this move on such a large scale before. Sure could use Lantern's help right now...
