What were, in your opinion the best episodes of HOME MOVIES in each season, and the best episode overall?


Season 1: UPN

Best Episode: We'll Always Have Tuesday

This was the final episode shown on UPN and was easily the funniest one they showed on the lackluster station. Not so much for the Brendan/Lonnie/Mitch plot, but rather the Pee Pee Breath sub-plot. The opening scene is a killer. "Eet ees practically Joke."

Season 2: Cartoon Network (Squigglevision)

Best episode: TIE: Director's Cut & It Was Supposed to Be Funny

"DC":
This was the first episode that aired on Cartoon Network, and if I'm not mistaken the first Adult Swim show ever as well. Both the plot with Brendan v. Dwayne and the Subplot with McGuirk v. Drew were hilarious.

"IWSTBF":
This was the second episode aired on CN, and frankly I couldn't choose between this one and the last one. Both of the documentaries Brendan makes (the prank and the real one)are hilarious.

Season 3: Cartoon Network (Clean)

Best episode: Writer's Block

In all truth, the whole writers block plot was just good, but McGuirk's insomnia is absolutely hilarious, particularly the closing scene.

Best Episode Overall: The tie from season 2.

Season 1: Best episode is: Brendon Get's Rabies. There's just something about making cotten candy thats so funny. Alexandre.

Season 1.5: Best episode is: School Nurse. I love to see McGuirk get drunk.

Season 2: Best episode is: Therapy.

From the UPN season, I would have to say that "Brendon Gets Rabies" is the best, followed closely by "Art of the Sucker Punch."

Paula: "Someday Brendon you are going to be with a man or a woman who is going to like you for you."

Brendon: "Or both, who knows mom."

That's one of my favorite dialogue exchanges from the entire show.

The best from the rest of the season one block would have to be "Director's Cut" for the Kafka rock opera and for Louis Louis. I also really liked "Brendon's Choice." Its just one of those episodes that is both funny and poignant.

And from season two, definitely "History." Starboy and the Captain of Outer Space rules!

Season 1-
Brendan Gets Rabies

Season 1.5-
This season was so funny, it's very hard to choose. "Mortages and Marbles" and "Method of Acting" are probably my favorites.

Season 2-
Also a good season, but the unquestionable standout is "The Party" which gives us a side of bittersweet with our usual comedy.
