I doubt any of you had heard of this, but is Adult Swim or Toonami thinking of acquiring Angel Links? Angel Links is sort of a side story to Outlaw Star, like how 08thMS Team was to Mobile Suit Gundam. It revolved around the Angel Links Security Force, my memory is a little fuzzy on how the series goes, but with the success of Outlaw Star, I think Angel Links would be a good investment.

Nope, never heard of it. I'm surprised Outlaw Star has a spin off series. Is it any good?

I haven't seen it, but Valeria and Duuz from Outlaw Star are in it.

Not from what I've heard. I've also heard that the content in it would probably even be tricky for AS at points.

What is there main concern, nudity or swearing? If it is nudity, I didn't think Angel Links had that much in it. Now, Saber Marionette J would be hard for AS.
Ehhh I'm not the biggest Angel Links fan. It's not terrible, but there are MUCH better things to be shown on AS. And it would need some editing, but Bandai has been pretty fair with their AS editing so far (see CB). I'd much rather see Inu Yasha, Big O 2, and others first. We'll likely see Tenchi, Outlaw Star, and Pilot Candidate completely off the ASA schedule soon, so that's three potential shows to replace... Angel Links doesn't deserve ASA, IMHO.

Yeah, I've heard of Angel Links. I've also heard that it's basically just "13 episodes of fan service."
My guess is that if they can't (or won't) get the hot springs episode of Outlaw Star on AS, then Angel Links won't have much luck, either.

Big O! Didn't have that great ratings while it was shown on Toonami. It didn't get many rotations. 3 or 4, maybe. I only got interested in Big O! on the end part of the Third Rotation and saw the series on the Fourth Rotation. AS got the right to Inu Yasha? Whoa.

I would like to see Big O.
Anyway, could you explain the plot, if you know it, of Angel Links?

I completely forgot the plot. It revolved around some new recruit adn then other stuff. Go to outlawstar.org and check the Angel Links section (If it is still up)

i don't really know the plot to Angel Links, but I'd laugh my head off if it aired on Toonami. It's impossible to do that without making it look like a 4kids massacre such as Yu-Gi-Oh!
Personally, I didn't like Angel Links. It's too much based on that 16 year girl, her breasts, and how enemies and pirtates attack. The only characters I like on the show are Dues and the assistant to him (forgot her name. I think it's Valaria).
Not to mention the idea of a cute critter living in her cleavage scares me. :o

Yep big boobs and the ever chiche sailor moon type thing going on there. I read that it sucks in so many places it must be true. And again this show is all about fan service fan service and gasp fan service. It's a far cry from Outlaw Star. So I'm quite sure we won't be seeing it on AS anytime soon if at all.
The only thing AL has to do with OS is that it is vaguely set in the same "universe." Don't expect to see any of your favorite OS characters, and if you're not into blatant fan service, you're going to get offended. Overall, highly NOT recommended even to diehard OS fans... it will probably just make you more of a Bebop fan, since they've refused to sell out like AL did.

AL, from what I hear, is a piece of crap slapped with an "Outlaw Star Universe" sticker, having absolutely nothing to do with Outlaw Star.
It may be slightly entertaining, though, but I found that the OLS episode they were featured in was one of the worse in the series.

If you like 16 year old girls with boobs the size of her head with a pet that lives in her cleavage, you'll love Angel Links.
If you like shows with quality in them, you'll hate it. Angel Links is garbage, pure and simple. When it comes to Outlaw Star, the similarities are vague and simple. It isn't 1/10 the quality of Outlaw Star, and OS is hardly the most high quality show out there.
Anyone with common sense at WS would reject all possibilites of airing it. As simple as that. If you wanna buy the show, go out and buy the DVDs that are ridiculously overpriced considering the show's quality.

I've got the discs. The actual story (which is spread thin through the 13 episodes) isn't too bad. That having been said, the show is top-heavy with fan service :)

Yeah I read all about in sevral places and the fact that thing lives in her cleavage jus put me off that show not to mention the fact that the battels suck from what I've heard. This is a show is nothing like outlaw star and the people who made it need a slap up side the head thinking that Outlaw Star fans would like this show. I mean come on give us more credit than that for goodness sakes.

Angel Links has a rather surprising and dramatic ending, but a good ending and 10-11 episodes of crap does not a great series make.

Haha...
I'm sure Angel Links is MUCH better than Pilot Candidate, right? ;)
Not really, at least PC tried to be a good show, rather than just copping out and deciding big breasts and a familiar universe were enough to win a lot of fans.

Wow! I'm starting to like Angel Links. Maybe I should pick this series up. :D No seriously, I think that's what many people first think about whenever they talk about Angel Links (I'm not just talking about this thread.).

The first time I saw Angel Links I noticed the dub job had very little to no swearing in it, while it was there in the Subs. Nothing was said that could be deemed vulgar or inappropriate for broadcast. So that makes me a little suspicious about the whole deal.
And my two cents on it... It's not great, but it's not horrible either. It's better than Pilot Candidate, but not by a whole hell of a lot.

I think the reason why Angel Links and Big O had dubs with very little cursing, is because Bandai wanted to try and get them to sell because they wouldn't need as much editing if the dubs were already low on cursing. It worked for the Big O, but hasn't (and probably won't ever due the fan servicey aspect) worked for Angel Links.
