I think it is safe to assume that all our cities have one. Maybe not in Ohio, but everyone else has one right? If not they are still spreading like wildfire and even your neck of the woods will soon be hit.
Our Target even has a Starbucks in it.
The only one I ever consider even stopping at is the one in Target and that would be for hot chocolate if I am feeling sick. Case in point a few weeks ago when I had a sore throat. Blasted air conditioning to heat, air to heat. :(
I hate the people that work at Starbucks. I can't use the word here to describe the guys who work there. What's with this friendly talk? I didn't ask for anyone to talk to me like we've been friends for years. It amazes me. I like the cafe at Nordstroms better.

I hate the talking at Starbucks too, I usually buy the stuff from the grocery store anyway and I go to the cafe at Border's Book Store..You get to read a mag you didn't apy for and drink your favorite beverage with a peice of chocolate cake.
What's better than that ?

I have been to Starbucks,.... It's nice place to for something to eat, but I really not interested to talk extremely friendly to a complete stranger who works there....
I go to one in the mall or the Border's Book Shop....

i love it, that's the way life should be!! =D sit, read, decide if the book is worthy to purchase, leave. ^_^ the starbucks i've been to have a really nice atmosphere so i don't mind it all that much. i like xandos better because they have better beverages and they have this thing where you can make smores with. :) :)

it's probably because of customer service. at the bank, the trainers stressed the use of saying the customer's name and chatting with them and everything for good customer relations. besides, you never know about that one customer who'll bring you benefits like a free meal at his restaurant just for being friendly!

I've never been to one. Maybe because I don't drink coffee. Also, I haven't seen to many of them around here.

Oh, yes SLIPKNOT. There are TONS of Starbucks places in Ohio. There's even one near my house. I have never been to a Starbucks, and never intend to. I don't need any more energy than I already have! :D I what you call, hyper. :o

There's a Starbucks right next to my High School. My friends and I go there sometimes, but I hate it. A) I hate coffee. It's only purpose is to help you stay up, and Mountain Dew does that more than adequettley (sp?). B) I hate the atmosphere. I always feel like I'm not high-fashion enough to shi-shi enough or whatever to be in there. All their fancy coffees with ten word names...

I hear ya Game. I don't dress like a bum or anything but when I walk into a place like that I just feel the eyes watching me, surrounding me, and I don't like it.
I don't like people looking at me and thinking they are better than me. It makes me angry. You wouldn't like me angry.
I also don't like people who have everything handed to them. Just like all of the frat boys and girls whose mommy and daddy buy them anything. They don't have to have a job. They don't have to do anything. Just go to school and cash the checks. My parents pretty much got me anything I wanted as long as I had a job and did good in school. This taught me some kind of lesson I suppose.
Put these people together and it's why I don't like going into places like this. They look at me in my khaki shorts and let's say yellow Split t-shirt with a backwards NY cap. *Screw Fred Durst some of us actually like the team. They look at me and they assume they are better than me. They assume they have more money than me. Which that wouldn't really matter if they did since my parents don't put the green into my wallet like theirs.
They don't use the water do they Cowgirl? ;)

Actually, I personally feel superior to the entire corporation of Starbucks. Make of that what you will.

The people who work at Starbucks scare me. ^_^ We have myths about the starbucks by us. And it's not just the workers, but it's also the customers. O.O The way they talk to each other is sickeningly sweet. *shudders* If someone walked up to me and started talking to me like that, I'd punch them in the mouth. But that's just me :P

Starbucks has invaded New Haven last year. I have never went there because...
a) I don't drink coffee
b) There is a Dunkin Donuts near me (and its probably better)
c) Its on Yale's campus (yes, the PRESTIGIOUS Yale University  ) and it's full of preppy college students (blah)
d) It looks expensive and I am a poor person (well not anymore since I'm starting work next week)
But when I get some money, I suppose I'll try the place out.
Everytime I think of Starbucks though, it reminds me of the South Park parody. South Park really made Starbucks evil in that episode...

Yeah if I am eating or drinking something and some stranger just walks up and starts talking to me then we are going to have problems. Unless it's Jennifer Lopez.

I don't like Starbuck$$$$ Too expensive, too snobby, crappy coffee, too damm trendy with people who rely on that cursed "Friends show" to learn how to be "cool" and have very lame conversations about that craptasular show!!  Second Cup is nice, they put LOTS of whipped cream on your coco :)
I'm done now. :o :D

my sister works at a starbucks. she says that its not the employees who are rude, its the customers.
she tells me about some people how go in and order drinks with non-fat cream/milk, but ask for whip cream on top.
or the little 10-year olds who go in and order lattes and other expremtly caffinated drinks.
tsk, tsk

The guy who worked at ONE (There are so many of them) downtown which we went to was very fruity.
I don't watch Friends. If something is on that show then it can't be good for you.
Nope just J-Lo. Have you seen the movie Glitter? No? Well that was a bad example no one did.

Okay, this isn't about J-Lo, sorry guys! :D I have a report about Starbucks from my friends. Two of them said they were able to get water there, but they didn't say if they were charged for it. (isn't water free in most restaurants?) Surprisingly, they didn't get weird looks for it either. No word on the taste yet, SLIPKNOT. That is something I will have to do myself. ;)
