Just watched the JB ep where Johnny tries to get into Susie's birthday party and noticed an edit I'd expected for a while. The kid with the skateboard says to the guy guarding the enterance "You're stupid!" and "See ya, Captain Stupid!". On it's original airing, and many airings later, the kid used the original 'Spaz' insults. So, why was it changed? Simple. The term spaz in the UK is highly offensive comment, making fun of a certain illness. I'd expected this edit for a while, especially after CN UK edited a promo which involved a toy (from the ep where Johnny goes toy shopping with $1) calling Johnny a spaz into calling him a turkey. The edit for the kid was badly done. They used a completly different VA for these edits and they sound like they were recorded over the phone or something

I understand they made a similar edit for the UK audience, in the Powerpuff Girls ep 'Birthday Bash.' In the scene where Mayor snags the flying target and announces "I caught the little bugger!" they clipped the last word, because 'bugger' has a much harsher meaning in England than it does here (check the Oxford dictionary for specifics.)
