Wasnt there an arguement a while back about the movie be droped to G rating because Warner Bros wanted it like that

I assume you're refering to the Powerpuff Girls movie being released with a PG rating.
WB did make an announcement last month that the rating would be G- something that didn't sit too well with a lot of the folks here.
I have to assume Craig McCracken also didn't care to see his movie softened up that much. I'd guess he engaged in some kind of negotiation with WB to allow a PG "for non-stop animated action." Prehaps WB agreed to the stronger rating so long as it wasn't due to swearing or realistic violence, which might discourage parents from bringing their younger kids to see it (we can be very sure; WB wants this film to get the largest possible audience.)
Mind you, I don't have any insider information- this is just my educated guess.
The main reason it's PG is becuase of the nonstop animated action.
