Ok it's not what you think. I just thought I'd let all of you fine people know that I will be MIA starting Monday until Wednesday. My family is taking a short little trip to the entertainment capital of the world--Omaha, Nebraska! :D
*silence*
:o Well anyway, this is a short trip (Disney World just isn't close enough to S.D.) and they are supposed to have this really great zoo there that takes dang near over a day to get thru. I'm sure the four of us will find some other things to do in the Cornhusker state to fill the rest of our time.

So I don't bid you ado quite yet (I'll be here tomorrow). But I wanted you all to know. :)

Ooh zoo. I like zoos, and if that one you're going to does take a day to get thru, sounds like it'll be a interesting and fun one to visit.

i've been to the sandiego zoo about a million times. it's wonderful. i even have a pass and junk.

Heh heh. I'm gonna stay quiet; I don't want to start a flame war between those who like the San Diego Zoo & those who don't. :D

Well I’m back (hopefully you noticed I was gone :( :p ).

I had a good trip. It was nice to get out of South Dakota and away from everything (well except my family of course ;) ). On Monday we didn’t do too much exciting, just visited a mall with nothing to see and swam at the motel pool (which was the most unheated “heated pool” I’ve even been in :rolleyes: ).

The zoo there is very nice. They had four different places with penguins! :D The coolest were the King, Rock Hopper and (some other one) penguins. I had never seen any of the penguins from the Arctic in person so it was a real treat for me. It was even snowing in there!
All in all it was a fantastic zoo, but I was pretty dang tired by the end of the day. Walking from 9 to 5 just to see everything (we just barely made it) gets tiring.

At night we ate pizza and watched “Finding Forrester,” which btw is a very good movie ”I’m that one.” :p
Our last day we just looked around at a couple of big malls in Omaha. I have to say I was a little disappointed with them. My search for the perfect Anakin Skywalker and the new Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures went unfulfilled, as did my search for a Muppet Show poster I saw once and now can’t find. :( But anyway I was hoping for more specialty stores like you would find at the Mall of America, but no such luck. “Bill’s Beanie Babies” just wasn’t what I had in mind.

Well that’s about it for my exciting trip 3 hours from my home. Now I’m gonna go read through the pages of threads and new posts I’ve missed.
