::shrug:: It's harmless harmless fun that pokes a little satire at superheroes and various other things in pop culture. And frankly, I thought "Meet the Beat Alls" was a parody worthy of the Python gang.

Beacuse they taste like apples.
But really, I have to agree with Mackenzie. It's just funny.
I love the show because it is wonderfully written, the animation is interesting and the characters are likeable. Plus, it is just plain funny and cute at times! :D

It's just a great, intelligent, and funny show. What's not to like?
I don't like it...It's just not my kind of show.....though I do like Dexter's Lab,and Samurai Jack, which I believe have the same creator....

Like its brother series SAMURAI JACK and DEXTER'S LAB, PPG is a cartoon that takes itself SERIOUSLY. It pokes fun at all manners of things, and its chars are not only funny, but belivable. We all have a bit of Bubbles and Buttercup inside us. ^^
Besides that, it's VERY original. Face it: the animation, the premise, the gags, EVERYTHING. It was a fresh breath of life in the cartoon world.
Now, got watch it and get hooked, young man! :D
BTW, Gennedy Tartovsky created DEXTER and JACK, his good friend and partner Craig McCracken created PPG. They DO have much, much influence on the others' shows, though.

Um....it beats "Pokemon"? :-)
Seriously (well, partially) it's a funny show with an amusing satire on superheroes (esp. the "Super Zeroes" episode I just saw recently). A worthy replacement for my viewing now that Animaniacs/Pinky and the Brain are no more (and giving me something to watch on Kids' WB besides "Scooby Doo" reruns I'd already seen 20 years ago/Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh/Cardcaptors/so forth...).

It's just a smart, funny, and sometimes suprisingly sophisticated show. Plus, it constantly amazes with me with how many adult things you can sneak into a kids show.

It's something about the hands. Or lack thereof. I just can't take my eyes off of them.
It's hard for me to explain the appeal of the Powerpuff Girls. What originaly drew me to the show was the Anime style/spoof animation fight scenes with the speed lines, but it was the poking fun at the Superhero genre that often keeps me coming back. The PPG's sense of humor reminds me a lot of the old Tick animated series in a way, which will almost always get a laugh out of me as I greatly enjoy superhero spoofs. And, as much as I love the world of japanimation, it's always nice to see a series that'll poke fun at anime, but not in a spiteful way.

Powerpuff girls is a really good show. Most of the humor is very sophisticated and intelligent. It pokes fun at almost everything from anime to politicians. It also has a lot of good quotes.
Originally I didn't think much of this show, it took some friends to force me to sit down and watch it before I took to it, but I'm glad I did, there's a lot more to it than people realize at first glance.

Interesting visual appeal and good voice acting. I'm not sure if it's as deep as some make it out to be, but it's good entertainment while eating a bag of chips or popcorn. And I think, that's all McCracken would really want out of us.
I think PPG is better than Samuari Jack and Dexter's Lab, by the way.

Put as briefly as possible:
Good characterizations, interesting graphics, intelligent scripts, and some of the best villains ever animated.
BTW: If the PPGs hadn't been so successful, there probably wouldn't be any Kim Possible.

But since the Powerpuff Girls have proved beyond doubt, that there *is* an audience for shows starring crime-fighting girls, all subsequent girl-hero shows owe the PPGs for their improved chances of getting on the air. Network executives *really* prefer to go with formats that somebody else has already had success with.

I like it because it show that girls can fight just as well guys and don't need to be saved all the time.

Yes, that's *definitely* a point in it's favor.
When I was a kid, girl cartoon characters generally didn't do much of anything beyond getting into trouble & being rescued by some guy. It is nice to see so much more variety around nowadays.
Actually, I used to hate the Powerpuff Girls. I had seen almost every episode and didn't like them at all. Now, it's started to grow on me. I actually laugh at a part in an episode that I didn't laugh at before. Then I realized that the show is actually funny, you just kinda have to pay attention. Now I'm looking foward to the movie.

Really, espcially in my favorite ep. the Beatalls, like at the end when Mojo is in jail and theres this big guy behind him and the announcer says something like "Mojo's going to learn the meaning of true love", lol! And am I the only one who thought it was hilarious the way the Beatall kept beating them by all firing on them at once and then throwing a rock on them?

Correction: that ending you described happened in 'Cootie Gras', and the Narrator's closing line was "Love is in the air. Can't you just smell it?"
The final scene in 'Meet The Beat Alls' showed the Girls carrying a defeated Mojo to jail, with this dialogue:
MOJO: (dejected) But, you took my love away.
BLOSSOM: Well, it's like the song goes— the love you take is equal to... (she thinks a bit) Equal...to...oh, who cares? It's by some dumb old band, anyway.

Sometimes we men need saving too, you know. Although then we run the risk of someone fussing because a woman is depicted applying bandages and tending to a man's wounds after she rescues him. And God forbid a man should say that women are a civilizing influence on men--Ronald Reagan learned that one the hard way.
Yes, Jack and PPG do influence each other a lot. Background footage of a wrecked Townsville appears in a scene from the three-part pilot during the dogs' excavation...and there's a scene in"Him Diddle Riddle" that is pretty much word for word out of the first part of "Three Tales of the Samurai", right down to Blossom's delivery.

I know why that statement got some people riled. The theory is not objectionable in itself- in fact, there's probably a lot of truth to it- but has some unfortunate secondary implications. It's just like praising an African American person for having 'good rhythm'; that's not insulting of itself, but still stirs resentment because it has the same secondary implication: "And that's *all* they're good at."
Men have, unfortunately, used the theory of women as civilizing influences to argue against letting 'em into the work force and such- I have actually heard contentions to the effect that women ought to stay at home, where they can best use their civilizing influence on their husbands and kids. It's absurd, of course- one might as well say that, since men have greater upper-body strength, no man should go into a profession that doesn't involve heavy lifting.
I am able to believe Reagan wasn't really aware of this.

I don't care much for the show, but I can understand why it's so popular. Many shows centered around violence tend to be be popular with the bloodthirsty children of America. I'm not saying that violence is ALL there is to the show, but that obviously has a lot do with it's popularity.
