First of all the cut off for me would be it would have to be in one of these states

Indiana
Michigan
Ohio
Kentucky (Only if someone can tell me about this Kentucky Kingdom I've heard so much about.)
Pennsylvania
New York
West Virginia
New Jersey (Which I know all about those.)

You can help other posters out and suggest parks not in these states but to help me out tell me in this region.

You are also free to talk about your favorite parks and why they are your favorite parks. It all comes full circle with one purpose and that is to suggest a fun park to go to.

Huh, cool, I live in Kentucky and can tell you about Kentucky Kingdom. It has a bunch of rollarcoasters and now it's a Six Flags. The reason we have a Six Flags in Louisville, Kentucky is not really clear. I think Kentucky Kingdom had the biggest roallarcoaster, and WB wanted to buy the rights and it was cheaper just to buy the whole theme park. That's the rumor. I hate rollarcoasters. :P

Cedar Point, is a real good place to go if you are into thrill rides an roller coasters. They have some of the biggest and fastest roller coasters. If you happen to go there you have to ride the Millennium Force, it is freaking awesome.

Cedar Point, most definetly. Great coasters, great regular (carnival) rides, and a great beach. You MUST go on The Raptor before you leave.

I didn't get to ride the Raptor. Was it as good as the Force?

While we're at this, does anyone know any real thrill parks in the Pacific Northwest, as far as I know there's nothing up here. (Well nothing that isn't third rate.)

I've been to CP. Millennium Force was pretty cool. I like fast roller coasters.

Does Kentucky Kingdom have Batman themed rides? I don't want to go to Kentucky unless they have Mr. Freeze.

Did you get the on ride photo on the Millennium Force? I just wondering if you did, did it look like you face was being sucked backwards? :D I was just curious because, mine did. :)

I never look at the ride photos. I seem to always have a stupid face so I avoid looking at them. In general I just don't like pictures of myself.

The last time I looked at a ride photo was on a wooden roller coaster where I swear my car slammed against the wall. No other cars just mine and I was looking over at it and thats when they snapped the pic and I had a strange look on my face.

I've been to PA a few times and I went to Hershey Park. It had a lot of good coasters and other rides! Cedar Point is also very good!

Yeah, if you don't mind having your nuts crushed. Because its a stand-up coaster you have to stradle this thing so you don't fly out. And of course any time you go thru a sharp turn your nuts are crushed. Still a nice coaster, tho.

Hershey Park, PA is pretty cool. Ride the SideWinder. It looks really smal but give you a thrill cause it switches the way it runs from forwards to backwards.

It's been awhile since I've been to Kennywood in Pittsburgh. If the Steel Phantom and Pitfall are still up, I'd recommend those.

If you ever pass thru Altoona, PA, try Lakemont. It features the oldest roller coaster in the world, Leap the Dips, and its still pretty cool. If you like baseball stop in to watch a minor league game, the ballpark is right next door.

Busch Gardens sucks. Sorry, I shouldn't have said that, I just had a really bad experience there. My brother and I waited in line for 4 hours to ride the Big Bad Wolf and we were finally next in line. Then some guy came over the PA system, "We're having some mechanical difficulties on the Big Bad Wolf, so we'll have to ask everyone under the pavillion (the pavillion is the last part of the line, where we were) to please exit." They didn't stamp our hands or anything, they just told us to get out and go to the back of the line. I wasn't planning on waiting another 4 hours, so I went to the carnie games.

Cedar Point is probably your best choice, Roller Coaster capital of the world. Discovery did a Top 20 Roller Coaster list and 8 were in CP, including 1 & 2.

Amusement Parks that I usually go to are all in Ohio and they are:

Cedar Point
6 Flags: Worlds of Adventures
Paramount's Kings Island

I looked it up on the net because I haven't been there in forever. They do have a Batman-themed ride, just not Mr. Freeze: The Penguin's River Blizzard. Here is the description:

The other rides (http://www.sixflags.com/parks/kentuckykingdom/Rides/index.asp ), you can read about on that site as well. Here are the other ones:

Chang
Road Runner Express
Twisted Twins
T2
Mile High Falls
Thunder Run
Hellevator

I live 45 minutes away from Kennywood (Pittsburgh, PA). Their famous ride the Steel Phantom rollar coaster. I think they renamed it the Phantom's Revenge or something.

I also second Hershey Park. You get free chocolate when you tour the factory. Yummm

Sort of. They tore down The Steel Phantom two years ago. The Phantom's Revenge is a reworked version that has no loops, a way smoother ride, and goes up to 95 MPH. It kind of like riding in a car driven by a friend who a death wish (we all have friends like that) up and down hills.

Ever been to the Great Escape? They have one of the top-ranked wooden coasters in the world (the Comet) and a bunch of other coasters/rides/etc., too.

Now wonder I heard of it. I think I was high on meds that night. What is your favorite ride there?
