Planet GameCube (http://www.planetgamecube.com) has reported that Majesco now has the rights to the Cartoon Cartoons: Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Johnny Bravo, Sheep in the Big City, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, and Mike, Lu & Og.

"Majesco has a great track record," said Jamie Porges, Vice President, Off Channel Commerce for Cartoon Network. "The combination of Majesco's expertise and the Cartoon Cartoon Properties will produce a great line of games."

Majesco will use the rights to make about three video games for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. Click here to read the full article. (http://www.shiggy.net/news.cfm?action=item&id=2989)

I think it's great and about time too. I'm so tired of Dexter and PPG getting all the games. Give the other CC's a chance too. Like, we have been waiting on an Eds Game since 2000.

I guess so.

Part of me is really happy and can't wait, but the other half just hopes these won't be rushed and made crappy like so many other cartoon related games.

Even today most liscenced games on cartoons are made with too-small sprites, very difficult puzzles, and endless enemy hordes you keep beating back with the same old attack.

I can hardly contain myself with the CCs that are about to be made into games too. Except for Courage, not many premises can be made...

..."Help Johhny win over as many girls as he can in a certain time limit! Thrill to helping the Red Guy trying to rip off Chicken! AGAIN! Don't ask us why all the guys have to do these things, it's in thier blood!"

most franchise games never succeed, they're either poorly made or poorly advertised.

Such as the mediocre GBC PPG games.

I have no doubts that these games will be horrible. Majesco is, quite honestly, one of the worst game companies to disgrace the planet.

I think sheep would be best done as an r.p.g.

Like others said cartoon based games have a bad track record. Only goods one I can think of are a couple of Looney Toons ones.

Sounds really cool. As long as the graphics don't stink and they're difficult enough to be a challenge and entertain me, but not frustrate me to no end.

Yea I know I'm hard to please.

Yea I know I'm hard to please. To me grahics aren't a major factor, sure I won't play a game that will hurt my eyes ,but I will play a game with dated graphics. I ussually rent a game first before I buy it, I play it for a hour or 2 and if I'm still bored I'm not buying it.

Majesco does make alot of classic arcade games so I won't be surprised if they come out that way.

I sense, a Go-kart racing game coming from this deal with all of the charaters.
