...Toonami shows on Adult Swim? at first when they started they ASSaturday and ASSunday I thought they where using Tenchi and Outlaw star as fillers until they got more but their still on. I think they should try to get three new shows FOR AS that aren't edited so much. one for Tenchi's place one foe Outlaw star's place and one for Pilot Candidate's place.

It takes time to get new shows. It's not like they can just call 1-800-TV-ANIME and have shows to air the next day.

No...but wouldn't it be nice if they could?

"Hey, I'd like to order Trigun, Zeta Gundam, new Big O episodes, and a new He-Man series."

"Sure, rush delivery? We ship ACME."

"Alright."

5 minutes later, Toonami airs the new shows

Here's a thought: Run the uncut Gundam Wing again. ASA is going to air the original edited(?) version of Mobile Suit Gundam over the summer, so why not Gundam Wing as well? It'd be a good replacement for Pilot Candidate.

Gundam Wing, even with TV-PG rating, is NOT FOR ADULTS.

DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY not for adults.

It's the most tween-targetted show there is, uneditted or not. It would only serve to further cheapen ASA's reputation.

Cheapen it more than Pilot Candidate does?

Gundam Wing is an okay adult show. I know quite a few adults who enjoyed it, although some aspects are kinda kiddy.

Um, I think WS is aware of how little people watch Pilot Candidate.

They ARE moving it to 1:30 in the morning.

why not move it into the trash.

If Outlaw Star is at 1:00 then why not just show the unedited version and the only edited episode would be Hot Springs Planet Tenrei? It make the show better if they threw back in Gene's cursing, ranting, and ass grab jokes, Fred showing his true colors, and calling a gun a "gun". Not a blaster! And its even worse hearing Sazuka the assassian saying "I'm going to capture you". If you're going to say "capture" and not "kill" why not just call the assassian a bounty hunter and name her Sazuka Fett? Then to make it the complete Star Wars ripoff we'll change the sound/fx of the guns to E-11 Blaster Pistols, Caster shells are known as Energizer Batteries, Aisha is a female wookie, Jim is Anakin Skywalker long lost brother (which proves his knowledge of technology) who was sold to Gene back in the day, the XGP is now known as the L-wing, and Gilliam is Chibi R2-3P0. Forget what I said! Get rid of Outlaw Star! :D

How is WS related to PC (I'm not doubting your knowledge, I'm simply curious)?

Well, they were dumb enough to buy it.

Yeah, they were dumb enough to buy it, but remember at that time, they took anything that even seemed remotely similar to the hit that was Gundam Wing. (I say "hit" loosely, btw. Why people liked that over melodramatic show is beyond me. But to each thier own.) Pilot Candidate was in the works to air on Toonami before Adult Swim even existed in notebook form. However the cut hours and the advent of DBZ overhype killed that idea and moved it to ASA. Much like what happened to Gundam 0083 and apparently 0079 now. (I'm actually surprised War in the pocket hasn't aired on ASA yet. Maybe that's later.)

So long story short, pretty animation and big robots is the reason the thing got picked up. Story was NOT in the consideration. Not to bash CN, but with networks, story usually is the furthest thing from thier mind when they buy the rights to a show. (I have it on good record that Fox never even saw an episode of Escaflowne when they aired it!)

But all that's nice and pretty, but it doesn't change the fact I can't sit through an entire episode of Pilot Canidate without changing the channel to see what's on Cinemax.

I know! replace PILOT CANDIDATE with something GOOD and MATURE in theme how 'bout BLUE GENDER? That's quite a unique show, maybe not plot wise, but it's definatly not a cookie cutter anime, especially like the stuff AS Saturday has got now.

FUNi dubbed it pretty well, but the anime itself isn't that great. It's basically Starship Troopers the anime.

And Starship Troopers sucked.

The easiest way to get rid of Tenchi and Outlaw Star would be to bring back something like Small World at 5:00 AM and that would push everything up, so that STAS and BTAS were in ASA at 1:00 and 1:30.
