Animatrix

Ok so lets add another one to the list of stuff that should, could, might, and will be on AS.
How about the Animatrix stuff that's being talked about?

Well I really don't know a damn thing about them actually... but there apparently gonna be Anime and hell, there gonna be about the Matrix so i'm sure it'll manage to be a bit adult, so that sounds like Adult Swim Action to me.
Of course, I also realize that there ain't a chance in hell of this coming to AS before the third movie is released and the DVD's have had proper time to sell.... but we'll only have to wait until what? 20.....10? No, maybe 2008.... ???

I haven't heard a thing about any "Animatrix" (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?).

So it's an animated version of "The Matrix"? Hmm, could be worth seeing (the movie wasn't my all-time favorite, but it had it's moments).

Basically, Animatrix is a series of self-contained shorts from the universe of the three Matrix films (the last two will be released next year and 2004). Written by the Wachowski Bros., these shorts will be designed, produced, and directed by some of the best anime creators on the planet, including the creators of Ninja Scroll. Square Pictures's contribution is, more or less, a prequel to the first film examining the events that led to the world as the inhabitants know it.

Now, I know you can check out a few behind the scenes clips in The Matrix Revisited on DVD, with a few sketches and production shots of the shorts (no clips, unfortunately), and I'm really surprised that Warner Bros and Silver Pictures are so involved with Animatrix.

An Adult Swim broadcast of the shorts would make sense. But this is the era of the K-Beast when nothing the network does makes sense. But who knows what'll happen in the future?
