Here are my top five.
1. Aqua Teen Hunger Force- anything that uses three food products and a overweight slacker equals funny!
2. Cowboy Bebop- It's a perfect mix of cimeaotography and animation. The music is perfect for the animation, see the beginning episodes.
3. Brak show- It is about damn time Brak had his own show. This is perfect for those people who just don't give a care.
4. Mission Hill- Andy French is a perfect roll model for young americans such as myself. If you caught the first episode, you'll know why.Douchbag
5. Home Movies- If brendon is not me than I do not exist. A bright young filmaker. God it's awesome.

Those are my top five. I love to talk about anyother show in AS so private message me.

sXe is Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!

1. Space Ghost- I love how SG reacts to all his guests. And every once in a while there will be an episode that is just plain and weird, for some reason I like those episodes

2. Baby Blues- I dunno I can't explain why...I just love the show.

3. Aqua Teens- The things shake says and does to Meatwad is real funny. Plus, I love Carl.

4. Cowboy Bebop- Great music, action, dialogue, sometimes it can be funny. Plus it actualy has "adult material"

5. Home Movies- The Brendon and McGerk convos are just priceless.

Decisions, Decisions. . .This is more difficult than I thought. (Perhaps more difficult than it should be! :D )

Okay, here goes:

1. Cowboy Bebop (I know just about everybody says that, but I like it too, so that's where it goes!)

2. Gundam 0083 (Ha, some originality!)

3. Sealab 2021 (Insanity comes with a great theme song!)

4. The Brak Show (Zorak and Dad rule!)

5. Yu Yu Hakusho (Excellent one-liners every episode, plus Kuwabara has a cat!)

1) Cowboy Bebop (the show speaks for itself)
2) Yu Yu Hakusho (just simply amazing)
3) Gundam 0083 (what can I say, I'm a Gundam fan)
4) Sealab 2021 (absolutely hilarious)
5) Space Ghost: Coast to Coast (classic)

Eltingville, if it was a show, would have landed right between Gundam 0083 and Sealab 2021.

This reminds me why I need to get the Toon Zone Top Ten site up. :/

1. ATHF-The voices make the characters and the characters make the show
2. Mission Hill-The only other realistic "cartoon". The first being King of the Hill
3. SGC2C-Just such wacky humor, but it also makes sense to older people
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Home Movies

1. Aqua Teen!
Watching the three main characters play off each other is fun enough. Throw in great secondaries like Carl, the Mooninites and the Spikey Aliens and you have some of the best comedic situations in cartoon history. Duncanzits is right on about the voice work - best ensamble cast I can think of.

2. Home Movies
Funny and true. And the real life Brenden Small is a helluva great muscian. Words can not express my respect for the man who thought up the franz kafka rock opera.

3. Sealab
"Sellin pot................................holders.........made of hemp."

4.Cowboy Bebop
I rarely catch adult swim action, but I try to make time for Bebop. The art direction alone is a reason to watch.

5. Space Ghost
Classic. And Brak works better when he doesn't have to play the straight man.

I refuse to rank, but will list a Top 5 in no particular order.

Space Ghost - the Hall Of Famer. Around 1997, as The Simpsons began to lose its fastball, SGC2C took over as the best show on television. Not only brilliantly funny, but also not afraid of full-on conceptual art like "Fire Ant", "Brilliant", or the Mommentaries. Not only did it obviously influence the newer Williams Street shows, but by establishing dialogue-driven animation with (very) limited action, opened things up for Dr. Katz, which of course led to Home Movies. Threatens now to be surpassed by its Adult Swim progeny, but its legacy is secure.

Sealab 2021 - The heir apparent to SGC2C, having the same dialogue-driven style and a foundation firmly secured in bizarreness. Best of the AS-premiered shows.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Overall, the most FUN watch on the schedule. A lighter, wackier tone than SL and SG, giving just as many laughs without making you work for them like SG does. Great characters. And best use of sounds from the Atari Pac-Man game.

Cowboy Bebop - What can be said that hasn't been already? Heart-pounding action, breathtaking visuals, toe-tapping music, gut-wrenching stories, and a bulletproof sense of style. And even that description doesn't begin to do justice to the series.

Home Movies. With the second season, became probably the best overall show on the schedule. The writing is great, the actors have an unparalleled rapport with one another, and the show is capable of truly touching moments at times. Took what was best about Dr. Katz (the characters), and left out the filler (the comedians). Too much H. Jon Benjamin is never enough.

1. The Brak Show
2. Aqua Teen Hunger Force
3. SGC2C
4. Home Movies
5. Mission Hill (already like it, only seen one episode so far)
6. Sealab/Eltingville (Sealab's hilarious sometimes, and sometimes falls flat -- Eltingville's got potential if they'd focus on geek humor, not gross-out humor)

(I know, you said 5, I did 6...so sue me :) )

1) Aqua Teen Hunger Force: To me, this series is just irresistable. The characters are great (it's hard to make a character you love to hate and/or hate to love like Shake), the guest characters rule (not just the mooninites. I'm also talkin' Ol Drippy, Dr. Weird and Mothmonsterman and so many others. BTW is there was a live-action ATHF movie Mothmonsterman should be played by Seth Green). Carl is always priceless and Meatwad is "the lovable one" who breaks the mold by knowing he's constantly abused and Frylock is a reasonable guy who is slowly losing his patience with everyone. It's just a great cast that makes the series work.

2) Cowboy Bebop: There are few anime that I love more than this. The characters and stories... Well, I can't say anything that hasn't already been said.

3) Space Ghost Coast to Coast: Classic. Pure and simple.

4) Yu Yu Hakusho: Just a plain fun action series. I really like Kuwabara's sister. She rules! (I don't think she was introduced yet). Though it is just a crazy action show, the characters are decent and play off of eachother well, and the way the villains are defeated are often pretty nifty.

5) Home Movies: I probably would have picked Sealab or Harvey Birdman, but I haven't seen enough episodes (my friend is downloading them for me though). Home Movies, however, is just great. I just love conversation based humour.

1. Home Movies- a modern classic in the making. I love it. If Simpsons is the great American satire, and Family Guy is the American Popular Culture compendum, then Home Movies is the most human work, completely reliant on characters and dialogue to carry itself.
2. Cowboy Bebop- I hate anime. There. I said it. But I love CB. It's a delicious milkshake of diffrent genres, great voice acting, and excellent production values.
3. Space Ghost- THE cult show of the 90's.
4. Aqua Teen- Give it a chance; it's an accquired taste, but once you give it the time of day, it's an oddly charming show.
5. Harvey Birdman- clever idea, if we could only seem some more episodes.

1) Cowboy Bebop- True genius.

2) Harvey Birdman- Intellectual toilet humor. Sound impossible, but true. :p

3) Baby Blues- Any show that makes cracks at the WB HAS to be good.

4) Yu Yu Hakusho- Hilarious show, but with a lot of nice action. A DBZ killer in plot, animation, music, story, etc...

5) Outlaw Star- I would have put Mission Hill here, but I need to see more episodes first.

3 - Sealab (used to hate it, but it grew on me)

If they were still making new Space Ghosts, it would probably be #1, assuming the quality was on par with Kentucky Nightmare or Knifin' Around.

5. Yu Yu Hakusho

Sorry I have to divide this up, but I'll only put a top 3 for each night.

Action
1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Yu Yu Hakusho
3. (TIE) Tenchi/Outlaw Star

Comedy
1. Sealab 2021
2. Harvey Birdman: AaL
3. Home Movies

Honarable Mention: Aqua Teen Hunger Force
------I didn't like ATHF at first but the show has really grown on me.

Hoping For: Some NEW Anime on ASA
------Sure, I'd like Eva on ASA, but I've seen the entire series anyway. Perhaps shows that are new and need a fan base.

Going Places: Mission Hill
------This show could very well knock Sealab off the top of my list.

Other Mentions: The rest of AS Comedy
------Other than most of the specials, these would be on my list as well. I applaud Brak, SGC2C, Eltingville, and Baby Blues for helping to make ASC as funny as possible! :D

Hard but not impossible-
1.Sealab 2021- absolute hilarity, I don't know why it's so funny it just is.
2. Home Movies- Hillarious in every way, though it has some episodes that arent to good, and some characters I just can't stand, characters like coach McGuirk ,and breandon make up for this handily.
3. Cowboy Bebop- one of the best animes Iv'e ever seen, nearly perfect.
4. Yu-Yu-Hakusho- Great I have definitely enjoyed this show too exciting and well done, definitely reaching #4.
5. Aqua Teen Hunger Force- Well not as funny as Sealab and most of Home Movies, it definitely makes me laugh on more than one occasion.
if you severed Space Ghost season 7 from the other episodes then it would definitely be on this list, Kentucky Nightmare is probably the funniest thing Iv'e ever seen.

Speaking of Captain Linger, he seems to have been M.I.A. for the last few weeks. I wonder why......

IMHO, Cowboy Bebop a great animated show whether you like anime or not or even if you are not a big animation fan, period.

I feel the same way about Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Minus the "animated show" bit. :D

My top five:

1. Space Ghost: Coast to Coast
2. Tenchi Muyo
3. Mission Hill
4. Gundam
5. Brak Show

no, I'm a big animation fan and I like some anime, but I don't like Cowboy Bebop.
whether a show has a western or eastern flavor doesn't matter to me. it just has to be an interesting show, or have good animation. Cowboy Bebop has neither. it has nothing for me and nothing for many other people.
you're just going to have to face the sad reality that there are many people in the universe who do not like Cowboy Bebop. otherwise it'd be the most popular show in the world, right?

Of course Bebop isn't, that title belongs to Pilot Candidate.

Oy. I wasn't trying to force him to like the show. I was just giving my simple opinion about CB's general flavor that you don't really need to be some hardcore anime or animation fan to be able to enjoy the show--generally speaking. And I know that there are some people who actually gave the show a chance and found out it didn't appeal to them. I respect that too. *goes back into the Lurker Woods*
