what Adult Swim character would you most like to see have a spin off. I'm gonna say Edward from cowboy Bebop, with Ein as her trusted companion of coarse.

a Spike prequel would be the best you can get. what could an Ed spin off be about? nothing much I could think of.

A Gundam series about Anavel Gato during the 0079 war would be pretty sweet.

I would love to see an Ed spinoff. A Spike prequil would feel like a retread. Besides he gave up the crime world, so a new series following his death would seem odd. What would an Ed series be like? I don't know, maybe 5 or 6 years later with her continuing the bounty hunter path (perhaps with Faye?)
Anyway, that's enough slobering fanboyness.

EDIT: I can't spell. I meant retread not retarded. My fault.

why would a spike prequil be retarded???? his death wouldn't matter in a prequil. i think it's a great idea.

I meant retread not retarded, as noted in my correction. You see, I can't spell.

The original series seemed to have enough Spike anyway. A prequil would seem odd (at least to me) after watching the original series because he left the gang and is no longer idolizing Vicious (on which I could be wrong). I don't remember, but we get enough of why Spike left the gang in the episodes, so a prequil would repetitious. I would like something different than what a Spike series would bring.
I might be wrong, of course.

Coach McGurk should get a spin off. Ed should get one too.

A Spike prequel would be best. I don't think its retreading much; they only hinted at his previous life with flashbacks and stuff. There is much more to work with and it would be more interesting than an Ed series.
Maybe a Jet prequel would work too-- following his days as a cop.

Oh no, not more Ed.
Anyway, it would be kind of cool to see more on Gundam 0083 with what happens with Kou after Stardust Memory ended.
I'll second the idea of a Coach Mcguirk spinoff. That would be great.

I think that Ed as a character doesn't have enough depth to have a spinoff on her, but that's just me.
Why don't we run through the shows?
Yu Yu Hakusho: I haven't seen the end and I doubt most of you have, it being 100+ episodes or whatnot. So let's skip that.
Cowboy Bebop: A Faye spinoff with her before she joined the Bebop would probably work. Even one dealing with her after the end of the series. A Jet prequel also sounds good, so I second that.
Pilot Canidate: ***beats self senseless with a herring***
Gundam 0083: With all the Gundams out there, I think a spinoff would be redundant.
Outlaw Star: Rumors of a sequel abound.... But something on either Hilda or Aisha as prequels would work.
Tenchi Muyo: Considering the fact that there already is a spinoff in Japan ( Tenchi Muyo GXP), I think they should concentrate their efforts on getting that one over here on ASA.
As far as ASC goes, I would KILL for a Chopper Dan spinoff! :)

I want to know what happens to Kou after the end of 0083 and I want to know what happens to Jet and Faye after the end of Cowboy Bebop.
I would also be up for an Ed spin-off, just cause it could be so zany and random. Don't we all need a little more randomness in our lives? :D
And while we're at it, how about taking Pilot Candidate and turning it into the comedy it should have been?!! (Well, somebody had to say it! :D )

A good spin-off would be for Carl's own show.
That's the most brilliant idea ever!
I mean a man with a tanning bed that goes to Jamacian and a stack of porno has a lot going for him.
Carl: The early years.
Something like that.
Okay forget all that was said before.
A good spin-off for ATHF would be a Mooninites show!
I mean think of it, they had two episodes.

We can call it NYPD Blue and premiere it to compete with ER and Law & Order over on rival network ABC, right? Hey, and mybe if we're lucky, we can create a character based off of little Ricky Schroeder from Silver Spoons...
But seriously, Carl would make that show a lot better if he replaced Dennis Green's character. I can just see him in the interrogation room...

That's brilliant! The same voice actor could play them both (giggles). Throw in Hiei's Vegeta-like attitude and it's a great show! Maybe throw in the brainy-kid from PC as a queer. You got the ultimate show about nothing! Like Seinfeld, but... More twisted!

I like the Mooninites a lot, but they'd be better off as a special guest on Space Ghost. I could see them vandalizing and looting ghost planet now...ah...

If the creators ever wanted to keep Bebop going, this would be the way to do it. Continuing the series from after CB would only tarnish it. That's somthing Wantanbe spoke of when he was interviewed and asked if they expect to continue the CB franchise. Best serious idea yet!

I'm not going to argue w/ you when you diss the Star Wars prequels, but that's completely different from Bebop. Why?
- We're not looking at going back 50 or so years... Just a few.
- We're not watching some snotty kid trying to fake a British accent grow up. We're watching an adult Spike.
- We're still looking at a good deal of familiar faces from CB.
- There's lots of room for creativity since any hints about Spike's past in CB haven't seemed to alter an entire galaxy.
- Very interesting character development on Spike's part. We'll see some sides of him that have never been seen before. Remember, he isn't a tortured soul at this point.
- George Lucas aint writing this...
I had more, but I lost my train of thought. Just take these few points into consideration before trying to compare a CB Prequel to Star Wars.

The point I was trying to make that a prequil can just as easily tarnish the well-established original.
I don't know...I just can't see a Spike prequil working beyond an episode in the origianal, or at the most (which would be pushing it), another movie. It seems more of a gimmick than anything...see a hero back when he was eeevilll. I think that any likeabilty the character had in the original would be destroyed in a prequil by showing what an evil bastard he was...besides, we know what Spike would have become if he stayed in the syndicate, being Vicious' protoge, Vicious. I would think the creators' would want to stick with focusing on Spike's angst and redemption. A whole prequil series showing him as what he broke away from would distract from the original.
Of course, I just feel that a prequil would be like eating the same meal day after day...yes, it tastes good and you liked it the first few times, but it grows old and you want something new. I think we'd seen enough of Spike in the original, how about focusing on the characters we know less about?
But then again, it's not being written by Lucas, so I may be talking out of my rear oriface.

How about "Celeberty Gundam"? It's combines people love affair with of the most inane (in my opinion, anyways) concepts on TV, cheap, crappy reality shows, and Gundam! Who wouldn't just love to see everybody's favorite washed up stars like Chyna, Anna Nicole Smith, Bill Goldberg, or that guy that constantly said "Hi there" on "Welcome Back, Kotter" get their brains blown in (or, more pecisely, sucked in the vacuum of space, considering the "celeberties" don't get a mech of their very own) on late night TV?

I personally would like to a spin off of Cowboy bebop but it would VT and her husband before he died that is. after all he is this great bounty hunter that everyones hurd of but the only thing we know about him is that he drinks Parary Osters (yea I know that I killed the spelling on that one!).

THE HAPPY SMILEY ED SHOW: Ed deserves her own spin-off with Faye. Hey, it could work! They take on some of the oddest bounties ever, and I mean like Scud the Disposable Assasin or Deadpool-type stuff, and fall in love with each other! Progressive and fun! Dear lord, I've been jonesin' for another offbeat sci-fi comedy ever since the deaths of Invader Zim, Mystery Science Theater, and Futurama.
THE MULTI-CULTURE PALS: Hey, we saw 'em on Harvey Birdman, now let's see 'em in action! The finest group of minority superheroes in the world takes on such threats to tolerance as the Radioactive Bigot, Captain Racist, and Dr. Unfair Gay Stereotype!
Also, Coach McGurk, the Early Years would be cool.

ed from cowboy bebop definitley deserves a follow up role in her own series, although the concept behind it would have to be pretty farfetched. it would be cool if the had a series based on one of the minor characters, like the guy who gave swordfish to spike (originally used for racing)
