I read on some fan page that Toonami had been eying this show before it AS was made...so I'm just curious, for anyone who liked CB, would you watch it if it was edited on Toonami?

Yes, CB was origionally planned for Toonami. Somtime ago, there was a post on the Toonami boards about someone finding an ad for CB w/ "Only Toonami" in a magazine. Other people confirmed having seen the same ad.

As for watching CB on Toonami, I might... Only if it was shown w/ very limited edits (other than the ones now) on TMR. I'd hate to see such a good series butchered any further though, but it would be nice to see it run 4x a week. I'm conflicted...

yea, it was gonna be on toonami.... but they'd ruin it! there would be no blood and little amounts of 'sugestive dialog'
i'm glad it's on adult swim.

Wait... If you're saying would you have watched CB if it was aired on Toonami and not Adult Swim, I would say NO!

If you're saying would you watch it if they also showed it on Toonami, I'd say very hesitantly, maybe and only under the right conditions as posted above...

No. It would remove too many things that are vital to the story, like smoking, gambling, and Mushroom Samba.

I think if they used the 13 episodes aired on Japan TV it could be fairly eaisly aired on Toonami since they were all comedy episodes anyway.

Wow, that would be nuts. You just can't make Cowboy Bebop fit Toonami unless you simply don't show certain episodes. There's too much general thematic material that couldn't really be edited, unless they did some heavy-duty butchering.

But I guess I'd still watch it, if I didn't know better.

no... hell no. thy would ruin the show. besides i have the dvd's so i would just watch them during that half hour and pretend it was all the same.

You know they would have to do the same thing for like on DBZ if they put it on Toonami after they edit it.

Actually, I can't even imagine what kind of story they'd have left with all the edits they would have to do for Toonami - maybe it would be okay if they just ran the comedy/filler episodes. (BIG Maybe!)

But I would probably watch it anyway if that were the only place I could see it. (I'm kinda sad that way!)

I probably would have watched it on Toonami but then wished for it to be on Adult Swim. :D
