I live in Massachusetts.
It's May 18th.
I go on summer vacation in 1 week. Less than that, if you don't want to count graduation.
What is it doing today?
Snowing.
Snowing.
I like snow. But...this is just weird.
The zipper on my coat broke a few days ago. I said to myself, "It doesn't matter. It's warming up. Summer is almost here. I'll get a new coat in the fall."
...
Oh well. Maybe I'll get to go sledding.

Terrible, this "global warming." :D
(That's one small fall for weathermen, one giant faux pas for doomsayers!)

Just keep it down there. I had snow on my car one morning earlier this week. No more, I say, NO MORE! Get on with spring already.

Egad! After reading this, I can't complain too much.
It has been about 20 degrees below the normal temp around here. Normally should be about 70 or so.
Ya know, global warming sounds like a good thing to me, NARF! :D ;)

I don't get the reactions to weather at times. Do people think that once April is over that it's 70's or higher all across the United States? And why do people seem to think it must be this way every year. I am not talking about just this post, but even the weather men and people I come into contact with on my day to day activities who seem to act surprised should the thermoeter dip below 40º in May. You know, I've been on this planet for a fair number of years, and can tell you it can get cold in the mornings even in June. Stranger than the weather is the reaction to it. It's not global anything, IMO. It's doing what it always does. We are in the SPRING, and the best way to think about Spring is the weather bounces back and forth like a spring and you can get anything. There are no guarantees in Spring!
I recall snow Memorial day in norther Iowa and southern Minnesota a few years back, thick wet snow that didn't stick on the ground, but it was still snow. MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! This does happen from time to time. It's not unusual, just rare, but it does happen in the Spring. And I remember many a June morning needing a light jacket to keep out the chill. It gets cold in June as well, folks. Be prepared.
Well, I had a "freak" winter and never got snow. I won't be surprised if it started to snow where I live.

Wow!! Snow and it's almost June?! I was annoyed that it's cold, rainy, and dreary here in my part of Delaware, but I suppose I should be thankful that there's no sign of snow. I enjoy snow, but I like it in winter. :p

The latest I've ever seen it snow in Mass. is mid-April. I know that the weather generally fluctuates around here a lot during the Spring, but snow in late May is...very odd.

Snow is absolutely evil, with a possible exception of its sheer nostalgic value.

yep, right now, Michigan is under a frost/snow advisory. There is snow out at my uncle's house. My relatives are up from Maryland and Virginia and they are saying "what the heck kind of weather is this? It's may, you're supposed to have sun and 80 degrees."
I laughed. Basically, in Michigan, you have to have jeans, a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, shorts, a winter coat, a summer jacket, a sweater, a tank top, shoes, boots, sandals, a scarf, sunglasses, and a hat. The weather is pretty wild, but hey, I don't care what it does right now, I'm leaving on vacation in 2 weeks! :p

Weathers wierd ain't it? :p
I love snow. Whenever we go visit my grandparents we play out in the snow all day. I love snowball fights, sledding, making snowmen. I don't even mind the cold. Although I don't get much more snow now that I live in Florida. At least I can go swimming whenever I want. :)

Yesterday it was 62F and I wore shorts because last week it was anywhere from 75 to 85 and it feels like summer in NC. But its so humid!! You feel like your swimming through the air!!

LOL! Ding, ding, ding. I never believed in that global warming crap either. Especially when I found out that the hole in the ozone only lasts for, 6 months I think it was. .....and it's over Antarctica!

I hate snow.
And one thing about "global warming" is that our planet has an amazing ability to recycle itself and recycle the crap we pump into the ground and air. I am not postulating that we should just do whatever we want then, as I do believe environmental responsibility is called for. However, I don't ever think things are as grim as some parties would have you to believe. And strange weather patterns are a part of this world for as long as it has been around. It doesn't mean there is global warming or ozone holes or anything like that.
And about that ozone hole...we've only been studying it recently. Futher studies have suggested that the hole has always been there, but as The Flash pointed out, it comes and goes. And it was not created due to aresol cans.

I like snow, but I am so glad that it finally gone! It took everything forever to thaw out this year, and now that it is gone it is a nice 75?. and the sun stays up practically all day!(well I could do w/o that in June)

I lived in Florida for a year in '92, and it snowed during the summer there. I remember our whole family had an indoor snowball fight.
