Okay, I am from NY, I don't like the stae at all. I do like NYC where I live and as a child (not that much now) always thought the city should declare itself a state (or small country) and call itself by one of the nicknames that the city has (it's also the name of a book about NYC) which is Gotham. New York City would be Gotham City, Times Square would be Gotham Square, etc. Our logo wouldn't be "The Big Apple" it would be "Got Ham?". (joking)

What I like about NYC would have to be living here all my life and still finding new things to see and do in the city.

Born and raised in Illinois. Spent the last 4 years or so in Wisconsin, and just moved to Maryland at the beginning of the year.

I liked Illinois because I lived in the Chicago 'burbs, so I had the "big city" to go spend my time in.

I lived in Madison Wisconsin, and spent a lot of time in the less populated parts of that state, which was nice, in that you didn't have the city "attitude" that you got from so many people in the Chicago area. People in Wisconsin seemed a lot less focused on image and those sorts of things. And of course, the slightly hilly, woodsy areas were nice to relax in.

Right now, I'm living south of Baltimore. Its cool here, since I've got two major cities to visit - Baltimore and DC. And living inbetween, the area is quiet and wooded and peaceful.
