I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen promos. The only thing "bad" I've seen, is a clip with the girl swimming underwater in her underwear. Okay... is THAT why it's rated PG? Sheesh! That's no worse than in the Little Mermaid with the short clip of Ariel's entire body shown naked, or The Hunchback of Notre Dame featuring the word HELL even though that's not real bad, and in Tarzan the "listening to Jane's heartbeat" thing... well, let's not go there. And these movies were all rated G! I don't get it?

this also brings up questions like how did scary movie get and r rateing? i havnt seen the second one but im sure its just as worse. and did you know the original planet of the apes is rated g? its got all sourts of filth in it. just goes to show that the ratings on movies arnt always acurate.
any way back to atlantis. aside from the underwear scene, theres some heavy gun play towards the end and the monster protecting atlantis might seem to scary for a g rating

Lessee here. . .
Violence, gunplay, implied death, innuendo, and a chain smoker. . .
also a lack of cute, fuzzy sidekicks. :p

Agreed; that Final Confontation is a bit too violent for a G movie.

...not to mention around 200 deaths. Most of the original submarine crew buys it. It's tastefully done and a memorial service is held, but still, that's a bit beyond G.

I haven't seen it either..but..I read that there are Subtitles in the movie 2. And most kids who go see a G movie, can't read yet..soo..maybe that's why..
