View Full Version : Yo Matt Wilson, riddle me this, why not two esp. of YYH on ASA
I've been wondering and maybe Matt Wilson can help me on this one. Why not show two esp. of YYH instead of one, I mean I've read that ratings go down after YYH. And besides I know for a fact that YYH is more then a hundred esp. so if they keep showing it at this rate (which I doubt) I am going to be a senior (I am a sophomore) by the time it's finished . I mean showing two esp. wouldn't be a problem right, I mean nobody cares about Outlaw Star and Tenchi anymore (Besides they are both going to be dropped in May). So what I'm trying to say is who agrees that they should show more then one esp. of YYH.
I am living in this time behind enemy lines so I got mine, I hope you GOT UR SELF A GUN. -NAS

They don't have room to air two ASAs. They have shows coming in to fill the spots of some shows currently on the block. Maybe if they had 4 hours.

There is a rumor going around William Street might be re-editing Outlaw Star. As for Tenchi, well MSG is taking its place. So really there is no room for two episodes of YYH

I've always felt it is a good idea, atleast for the time being. Remove Pilot Candidate and shift Bebop to its timeslot. Then you can air the new episode of YYH at 11:00 and either a repeat, or another new ep at 11:30. Seems like a good thing to do IMO, atleast until they're at a point where the block isn't filled with filler like it is now.

If you asked me, I'd say that they should have doubled up YYH at 11 and Bebop at 12, then aired the TV-Y7 new stuff at 1-2.

Yea, not to mention the fact that Yu-Yu is the longest series on ASA at this time. But they probably don't do it because they only have so many episodes dubbed at any given time... thats why longer shows over on the Toonami side of the coin like DBZ are split into "seasons". I for one would love to have two episodes of Yu-Yu Hakusho on ASA.

I have an idea: When Pilot Candidate ends, put in a second episode of Cowboy Beop to finish it quicker (Isn't Bebop 26 episodes?). Then when Bebop ends, put a 2nd episode of Yu Yu Hakusho at 11:30 and start a new series at the 12:00 time slot.
I never saw any of those anime before, so this ASA is a treat for me.

i think they should just stay with one episode that way in a few months (or whenever it's rerunin) we won't be complainin bout seein two episodes of yu yu reruns a night i have missed a few of yu yu and lookin forward to seein them when they replay but it'll be nice still having new shows during asa when everything else is rerunin
YYH has over a hundred episodes (115, I think someone said). So, with one epsiode per week, that just over two years before we have a rerun.

I don't believe there will be many reruns. Yu Yu is FUNi's most pushed property right now (DBZ is done and waiting to go out to CN, pretty much), so getting new episodes ready is their biggest concern. The fact is, episode 21 won't even air until the middle of July, which gives FUNi ample time to crank out another batch.
