From ACEN2002 VIZ Panel
Finally, Viz still has the rights to the Inu Yasha anime, and are working on getting it on Cartoon Network. They are very confident that it will be broadcast on CN but at this time they don't know when. The home video release dates will depend on when the broadcast dates are agreed on.
From ACEN2002 TOKYOPOP Panel
Initial D will include a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack when it is released on DVD. Additionally, there has been "definite" interest in broadcasting it on American TV. Due to the potential for a TV deal (no further details are available at this moment) no release date for the DVD has yet to be set.
i hope Initial D goes to AS, and so does inu-yusha. who knows though, it may be on toonami

IY would have to be AS.It's one of those shows that is too mature for Toonami, but just BARELY.Plus it'd fit on ASA better.
Initial D,I have but yet to see.

That'd be nice, I've heard a lot about Inu Yasha, and it is being dubbed by my faves, Ocean :D Since its such a long series putting it on TV would be very good for those like myself with little $$

speaking of dubbing, i read in animeondvd.com that the VA for Ranma is doing Inu Yusha's voice

That's interesting. The Japanese VA, Yamaguchi Kappei, also does both Ranma and Inu Yasha.

Yeah, Richard Cox, who did Kai on Mobile Suit Gundam and Bit in Zoids. From what I've heard, the other main characters are being done by Monica Gemmer(the first Catherine & Sally Po voices in Gundam Wing), Willow Johnson(Lalah Sune in MSG) and Saffron Henderson(in everything :p). Sounds pretty good so far. Viz's dubs usually turn out good, and unlike everyone else, they actually have the genius idea to put actual voice credits in the ending credits  Can't wait for this dub.

oh wow, same VA's for both english and japanese versions!
anyway, i hope initial D gets on AS, thats the only show i could think of that is adult stuff (street racing YEA!)
anyway, im pretty positive that inu-yusha will be on AS, why? becuase toonami already announced their fall schedule (unless IY wont be on in the fall, which im hoping that it will) and the already have 4 new shows (g gundam, big o 2, Transformers and He-man, not to mention new seasons of dbz and db)

I have never seen either of these shows, but I have read about them and I hope they do come to CN.

inu yusha is pretty much confirmed, while Initial D isnt really for sure, although its CN most likely, becuase the only show that i see it broadcasting on is Fox kids which is not likely.

Actually as far as Initial D goes, I spotted a rumor that SpeedVision of all channels was interested in picking it up. I guess for diversity and such. It would still be kinda weird though.
