For those of you who watched the japanese version of YYH, can you tell me how many openings were in the show, i watched this show 8 or 9 years ago and now i can't remember how many openings were in the show, was it 2 or 3?

here is a site where you can watch the original YYH openings and endings, since AS didnt show the second opening of 0083, i think they wont show the other YYH opening and endings as well, the quality of the videos are not that good, but it's the only site i found so far, one more thing, this site only allows you to donwload 5 files per day.
http://animeart.com/music/hakusho/

and if you do watch the openings and endings, tell me which one you think is the best. ^_^

They WILL show the other YYH openings/endings. They didn't show them for Gundam 0083 and Tenchi because the shows were purchased for Toonami, and the openings were cut out of each episode (to put the Toonami intro in). They then got a tape of the intro and added it to every episode. It would have been too expensive to do that for two different intros. But for YYH, they never cut the intro, so its all on one tape. That means, basically, they WILL show custom intros for shows that are bought for AS.

I have the dvd's of yu yu hakusho, which I just have to say is the greatest deal I ever bought.

all 105 episodes
on 3 dvd packages
in their entirety with Subtiles in:
chinese
japanese
english
and I bought it for only 50 dollars (when it first came out, the prices sky rocketed as time went on and when it came to adult swim)

I really wish more anmie was still like that, compare THAT to the 20 dollar per, 5 episodes, no extra, english ones there coming out with now.

Anyways, on the dvd theres 3.

Sounds like you have the HK bootlegs.

I got them from a japanese site that I used alta vista to translate, and who sent them from Japan.

So don't think they are, they have the artwork on the boxes and cd's and all that stuff.

Yeah, they're bootlegs.

The Chinese & English subtitles along with them not being region encoded is a sure sign that they are (along with the price). Bootlegs are getting better looking these days (artwork, boxes, etc).

Typical Japanese releases don't include English subs and are packaged at a much much lower episode count per disc.

Don't know what your talking about but it's not great, but good on mine.

Sure the sentences don't always make sence, but anyone who watches fansubs should be accoustomed to that.

Yeah but now that it's licensed and available in the US there's no excuse for fansubs & bootlegs.

Why not?

Money is probably the biggest factor.

I think we all know the arguments against bootlegs & fansubs of licensed shows so I don't think we need to drag this thread down into it.
