well it was another sleeples night. none that is for me. so i got to see what cartoon network plays all night long. well they played two stupid dogs and freakazoid at 3, and 3:30. how come these shows dont have a good time slot? i love these shows. id much rather these be on at a decent time and not have to put up with dragon ball z and techie mo yo. why dont they put those crapy show on at 3 and 3:30 in the mouring. and what ever happend to tiny toon adventures? i never seen that show on any more. why cant we have that rather than big o? i want some good cartoons! and when is cartoon network going to get a hold of some old school transformers and ninja turtles and old school g i joe cartoons?

I asked myself that question a dozen times. The fact is that show slike DBZ, Big O, and all the other anime stuff is just way mor epopular than reruns of Freakazoid or Tiny Toons. Reruns of shows like that are usually placed in crappy slot slike that becuase the good lots are filled with shows that grab more ratings and are, again, more popular.

Buty I'd rathar see these anyday, as well. I'm getting sick of all these anime shows being on more times than Scooby-Doo.

Big-O IS actually pretty good. But everyone has their opinions.

What they need is to separate the anime from the other toons and possibly develop a new channel for anime. That way, anime fans can just watch the anime channel and fans of other stuff can watch CN. There is certainly enough variety in anime to support it's own channel. Contrary to popular belief, anime is not just about "action." So you could have an anime channel that airs comedies, action, romance, soap and children's shows, which would please anime fans getting tired of networks refusing to air more anime variety. And back on CN, you could have more of the "cartooney" cartoons like PPG, Batman, Looney Toons, Justice League or what-have-you.

hey, leaping larry jojo, thats a geat idea! i 've thought about that too. cn should just spin off an anime channel, and maybe we can even get some un-edited anime out of it. and i too am waiting for them to air ninja turtles! i cant wait!! i cant even imagine it. i'd rather them air that than anything else like heman or transformers. that was like my favorite show back in the day.

An anime channel would be great. It would appease both the anime fans and fans of the classic cartoons. I think an anime channel would be a great idea. They could have a movie night where they show classics like Akira and Ghost In The Shell. Have marathons of anime shows. Have an "after hours' sorta block where all anime is unedited...the possibilities...

A great programming suggestion is to cut half of the Scooby-Doo Cartoons. Instead of Scooby, CN plays Black and White Popeyes, Wartime cartoons and more classic (Pre 1955) cartoons. The separate Anime channel is a good idea. Anime and classic cartoons just don't fit on 1 channel.

Earth to CN: Cut down on Scooby-Doo. CUT DOWN ON SCOOBY-DOO. And if you didn't get that, I'll say it again: CUT DOWN ON SCOOBY-DOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen.

I totally agree with ya, bushnader666! There's just too much to have pigeon-hole don one channel BTW - welcome to the boards! I recommend ya read the rules! With the new management around CARTOON NETWORK, I wonder how things'll change....

joker, I bet everyone agrees with ya on the overuse of the dog. CN has access to four animation libraries, yet still airs the same Scooby over and over. I dunno how many times I've seen that Scooby-Doo/Globetrotters ep...
