Who is looking forward to this line from Marvel? Fury is a must buy for me, with Alias I am still contemplating, and I doubt I will buy War Machine, but I took a glance at what they are planning for the future, and it looks good.

Cage will feature...well, Luke Cage, of course, and it is said to have the "pacing and rhythm of your favorite blaxploitation flicks from the 70s...in a modern context."

Blade is their contributation to horror comics, and will be more like the movie than any previous comic incarnation of the character has been. Very good, very good!

Howard the Duck. It's about time Marvel brings this character back! The last time we saw this character was after the abysmal movie, and the new comics they made after that were even worse. It would be a shame to let the last memory of this character be a negative one. Steve Gerber will return with artist Phil Winsdale. I can't wait to see what they give us.

Night Nurse. This book is of such legendary porportions, parodied and satarized and joked about very much during the days of Jim Shooter in the funny books they put out then, and the value of the original comics are mind boggling considering this is supposed to be such a bad series (I've never seen it. I am not that rich.) But this new series sounds interesting enough, but is written by Gail Simone, of Simpsons fame. Makes me wonder...

They also have a new Black Widow mini series planned, and Deathlock.

Given this imprint, and the new edge the "Marvel Universe" titles have, and the Ultimate line, do we really need Marvel Knights anymore?

I think I'm gonig to be getting the Fury series. The preview art is really nice. Plus I'm curious as to what Eniis has got in store for us. I might get War Machine too. Something that i don't like about this new Mature Line is that they're using their characters. They should make more independent stuff (100 bullets, transmetroplotian, etc.) like DC without marvel universe characters.

Give them time to make new characters. But I like the idea of seeing familar Marvel characters being handled in a new way. That's why I loved Earth X so much.

Ah but Earth X was much different. This is just going to be regular Marvel characters, but with added cursing and violence.

I don't think it will be just that. I think they will do more with the characters, and it will give them a chance to use some more extreme characters to their fullest extent. Personally, I am really hoping they revive the old Dracula comic book they used to do and just go wild on it.

If they bring DRACULA back it'll be a must buy for me. I am comtemplating picking up BLADE mainly becuase it'll be more like the movie - which was so much more better than any of the crappy incarnations of the comic character.

Did you see the Blade series they started up a year ago or so? I don't know if they even are putting it out anymore, but I never picked it up. I take it that it bombed.

It bomebed......real bad! It was supposed to be a 6 issue mini-series but they stopped it before, it even reached the fourth one. Ouch!

you know a series is bad if it is a mini series and they don't allow it to complete the run! I am glad I didn't pick it up!

When Vertigo first launched, it had Swamp Thing, Sandman, Shade the Changing Man, Doom Patrol....all books that were a part of the DCU before Vertigo even started.

Like calhoun07 said, give them time. In fact, the star of Alias is a new character (that book sounds really good, btw)

You guys have a point there. But I'm really hoping they will stay away from their own characters after awhile. I'd really like to see some creator-owned stuff, with new charatcers.

Is Max a creator owned line? I thought Epic was supposed to be revived for that, but that never panned out.

I don't expect Max to copy Vertigo, but to stand on it's own, and I see nothing wrong with them using the old Marvel characters in a new way mixed with new characters created for Max Comics.

One comic I am hoping they do is Warewolf By Night. They are working on a movie version of that comic book, also, along with Man Thing. Warewolf by Night is one book I'd love to see reborn under the Max imprint with Dracula.
