For this poll to have any meaning, you need to define 'better.'
If that means More Moral, More Altruistic, More Righteous, or The Sort Of Person Who Would Defend Your Homeland From Tyranical Robots, then Jack's really the only candidate.
But if you mean, Guy Who Would Be The Most Fun At A Ruthless Conquest Or A Frat Party... well, there's more room for argument.
I mean better as favorite character.

I don't see Aku being a really interesting villian. The best villian's, in my opinion, are the ones who can make the good guy suffer and come up with devious plans to kill the good guy. While Aku has made Jack suffer some, he really hasn't come up with great plans to kill Jack. All Aku does is create powerful robots or issue bounty's on Jack and let others kill Jack for him.

Aku's main 'virture' as a Villain is that he's visually interesting- he's always altering form, and has that very expressive visage (one of my favorite moments in the series was Aku's exasperated reaction to the mobsters showing up in his cave, in the 'Jack The Blade' episode.)
Character-wise, Aku does leave something to be desired. There's nothing complicated about his motives; he's simply Evil To The Core. I think bad guys are more interesting if there's some ambivalence to them, or if you can kinna understand their motives.
Which is why Mojo Jojo is my single favorite cartoon Villain. Having grown up with four brothers & sisters, I know all about Sibling Rivalry.

Definitely. Jack is definitely not your average ROTM, witty-wisecrack-a-minute kinda guy. He has emotions, like you and me, he makes mistakes, and he's still a widdy bit naive about his surroundings and the creatures who dwell within it.
And most of my sister drooling fangirls out there will agree with me on this: he looks good in anything he wears, whether it be gangster pinstripes, medieval attire, a spacesuit, a battle-damaged robe with the top torn off, or clad only in his fundoshi.

I voted for Jack, of course. While Aku is certainly a respectable villain, you can't praise Jack's character enough. So righteous and larger-than-life heroic, and yet, so human.
