Alright I've been waiting for an action figure from the Batman Quick fastfood line for a few weeks now. It finally came today. Actually it didn't come today. The envelope was empty. Now I'm so angry right now I don't even remember if the thing was open when I opened it. It was very loose and it's ripped so I'm going to say yes it was opened.
I got this from France. I knew better than to ever do business with someone outside of the USA. I knew it. I won't even sell to Canadians on ebay.
Now what should I do? There was no insurance on this. I went to the mail guy and asked if anything fell out while he was sorting the mail. 0f course he said no. He looked a little afraid of me. Maybe because I looked angry and I've been told I look very scary when I'm angry. Kind of like Jeckel and Hide. I don't know the reason but he didn't look right.
Do I go to the post office? Do I waste my time since there was no insurance and they are going to tell me I'm out of luck? I don't know what to do. I really don't want to tell my girlfriend because we will fight about this. She'll say something stupid and it will really make me mad. I really can't beleive I haven't used swear words in this post. I can't beleive I have this much self control.
I knew I was going to get ripped off the second I placed the stinking bid.

First, do you have the guys email who you bought it from? I would definetly email him and let him know. Now, he could say you were lying, I mean people do that all the time, so you probably wont be able to get your money back. The Post Office wont be able to help you out at all. It's not their problem if stuff is jacked. And it was only in an envelope? What kind? I cannot beleive that the person didn't send the item in a box, that's just really stupid. Because then it is so easy for someone to just open it up and take whatever is inside. And it's not fair to you, because you've paid money and expected it to get here safely, and now you are out the money and the item. Yes, this is a classic problem of doing stuff long distance and over the net, and unofficialy. This wasn't on eBay I take it, because they hae insurance policies. Like I said, email, call, or whatever, that guy that sent this to you. That's about the best you can do, other than chalking it up to experience.

No this was on ebay. I got a great deal, almost a steal compared to how much these figures were going for.
See I didn't think ebay would help me since it was "lost in the mail"
I e-mailed the guy and asked him what's up.
When I got the mail today I did a double take on it. It's a regular envelope. White. It looks like it could just varly hold a 6 inch action figure in it. I have no clue to as why this wasn't put in a box and mailed. I'm very ticked about this.
So I am wasteing my time going to the post office?
I'm going to go look over ebay rules. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I figured I was out of luck with ebay and the post office :(

Don't bother going to the Post Office, do bother emailing/checking out ebay. Like I said, they have a policy. Something like, you should be able to get your money back ifthe item does not arrive. And you should let them know that this person didn't really ship the item as well as he should have. And you should talk to the seller and explain what's happened. I would be very pissed that something like that wasn't shipped in a box. But, did you ever ask what kind of shipping and handling there would be? Or did he ever tell you? Those things are always supposed to be discussed, that way things like this are less likely to occur.

I'm glad you said pissed because I'm pissed.
I e-mailed the guy a little while ago. I'm going to see what the guy says to me before I e-mail ebay about it. You know if he's cool and wants to help and does help, then I don't want to get him in trouble with ebay.
I did research ebay a bit and you are right. That's why I'll give him a chance before I contact ebay. They advise the two parties involved to try and work out the dispute first. So it would be pointless for me to bother them first. I don't want to tick them off before I know what's going on.
As far as shipping he just said air mail.
I think it's really crappy that he put an action figure in a little envelope where anyone could feel it and tell what's in it. This thing didn't even appear to be tampered with. I bet he didn't send it.
I won't even bother with the post office. The figure probably never left France.
