Y'know, we should have a "serious avatar" contest. Usually our avatars are crazy, whimsical, intense, and comical. What if we all put up a meadow in spring, or a spacescape, or a falling star. I know lots of people have put these up before, but if anyone finds the site for the first time, they'll think we're an artsy crowd (insteadof the party animals we are). But could we stay serious long enough? :D

Yatta is a very fun Japanese song, to which there is a flash cartoon video that a few posters have put up links to in the past. I just have taken some snazzy screen grabs from it for a series of avatars. I can change the current one if it's bothering people...didn't mean to offend anybody!

As you look at my current avatar, keep in mind that I personally, don't smoke. It's not PC, but I don't care about being PC! I don't have any problems with people that do smoke (obviously!), it's their right. I'm just poking fun at it, like all my other avatars. I'm just going for humor! :D

Added the blinking, and I had him throwing a playing card. It looked REALLY good, but it was WAAAAYYYY too big to be an avatar. They only allow 10.2 kb! what a bummer! I'm gonna keep trying though! maybe someday...

Did you try lowering the # of colors in the GIF file? You also have some blank white space above his head, try cutting that out to lower the size of the file. :) That blinking adds a lot, btw.

I did all sorts of stuff to it, resized, cut out the space. i'll get it. But it will take some time. I got it down to 13 kb, but that still wasn't enough. Maybe later tonight during South Park i'll work on it. What I have is still pretty good, considering I haven't done this for awhile.

Although, We were planning on having a Spider-Man & a Star Wars: 2 contest, correct? Well, since They're release dates are so close together, what if we have a Spider-Man VS Star Wars contest? Everyone's talking about "which will be the bigger movie"(even though, as much as I hate to say it..Star Wars IS star Wars..period), So, the contest would not only let us choose the best avatars, but there could be a side contest to see which one is better. Whichever movie has the most avatars(Like, if more people have Spider-Man avatars than Star Wars avatars, then Spidey Wins!), but in the end, we would all still vote for our favorite over-all avatar. Whichever movie has the most avatars(Like, if more people have Spider-Man avatars than Star Wars avatars, then Spidey Wins!), but in the end, we would all still vote for our favorite over-all avatar. Hmm..just a thought. Add a little twist to the game...

I like this idea, but we already had a Star Wars Avatar Contest. Unless the upcoming one would be exclusively Clone related, then we may not need to add it with Spidey. Plus it would be so hard to chose between the two :p .

I fixed the timing, but.... Harley's spitting blood? i still don't see that. It was originally a word. it said "smooch", but lost it when i reduced the colors. oh well. I think i'll get rid of her eventually, after the novelty wears off.

Glad to see the Flash quit smoking, but I miss the cowboy hat. Nice addition to the avatar mistah_j, but I think the one with just Joker is better. I guess the shrinking messed it up, but feel free to post the full pic so we can see it better. And I really like Meow's avatar. It's really colorful, but so is the Joker. I hope you keep it up for a while.

Thanks and good question. About 4 months back I was totally out of ideas. Then that St. Patties day contest came along and the ideas kicked back in again. I got this idea thanks to Scotty Cannon. Oakley sunglasses sponsors his funny car (http://www.nhra.com/2002/events/race04/photos/photo08.html) (check out the paint job, it's awesome! 100% airbrush) and I thought to myself, "I wonder what Flash would look like with sunglasses on." So I added it, added the "I need to shave look" and presto. :) My last avatar (Cowboy Flash) was a tad bit out there... I decided, out of no where (I don't even like cowboy movies), to put a cowboy hat on him. It was okay. For the heck of it I had him smoking to get the full cowboy look (I couldn't show the boots! ...but wouldn't that have been hilarious?)
