The actual history of April Fool's day

April fool's day started in Spain...
When Moors (Morocian Muslims who occupied most of Spain) and were suppose to be a meeting between all the Spanish and rulers and to discusse the land dispute between them...

But the Spainish(forces Queen Esibella and King Ferdinand) led a suprise attack on the Moors town of where the meeting suppose to be held and the Moors were all killed about 11 million Moors... So the fooling the Moors caused name April fools because all happened on April 1st, forgot the year probably around 1000s and 1400s.

Also this started the decline of Trukish Empire...

This all true history and probably guess most people didn't know.

But if you look at Muslim History this is who April Fool Day started and this is how it is known in most of northern Africa and all across the Islamic world...

My French teacher told us that it all started because the king of France changed New Year's Day back to January first. Because word travelled so slowly back then (She didn't say when, excatly) that those who had heard played tricks on those who thought it was a New Year in April. But, being a French teacher, she's obviously biased to anything relating to tradition and France :D .

Lol, I could easily see my old French teacher saying something like that. She was biased for everything French, it was funny. I love finding little things like this out. Usless knowledge is awesome! And, there can always be more than one explanation. It depends on the culture, religion, and the sources. Oddly enough, I couldn't find anything on April 1st on the historychannel.com, go figure. They really need to do a special on the origins of April Fool's Day.
