Yeah, Time Warner has a monopoly on the cable market in our area.

I do agree with you, Cablevision is treating the Yankee Fans like crap and disgusing it as this whole "The Choice" rubbish. Why can't they just add the Yes Network to the sports channels, with Fox Sports New York and MSG Television?
Besides, Yankee fans will still see thier heroes on WCBS/2 (The local Eye Neywork affiliate) and on all of the Mets' Networks as Mets Games.

Yeah they're really being idiots about it, there probably doing this because cablevision owns msg and there upset about losing their yankee tv contract. I also know a couple people who have switched over to direct tv to see the yankees.

Comcast, as if there is a real choice. Cable companies have such a monopoly.

Out here we used to have TCI who were really terrible about not showing up for appointments and not offering chanels everone else in tho country had (including CN). The city gave them a date they had to shape up by, and they didn't do squat about improving their services. So the city fired them and now we have AT&T Broadband. Woop di friggin do.

Good Grief! Since when do they put the price on freedom and tell the Yanks they can't be on their own network?! DAMN YOU, CABLEVISION!
I think I would not mind Grandpa dumping Cablevision for the Dish Network. I could very well get Toon Disney and Boomerang while he gets the Yanks. However, John won't have as many sources for the Mets. But still, Toon Disney! Boomerang! Oldschool HB! The Disney Afternoon!

I have Cablevision, as well. I was hoping my father would go and buy a Dish, but I have six televisions in my home, so we would have to pay five dollars for each additional television. That's a whopping $25 extra a month.
I hate Cablevision, though. They charge extra for MSG, Fox Sports, etc. and want to charge extra for YES. Greedy business...

Every day my dad tells me about new networks that have started carrying the YES Network, and Cablevision is still holding out. Opening Day is soon. I want to see the games.
Oh well, my dad joked that the only alternative is to go to all the games. I can live with that. :)

They really are a terrible cable provider. The only reason I want to keep it is because if cablevision goes 10 dollars off a month goes of my optimum online and then Im using dial up. Though I really dont mind seeing cablevision losing lots of customers on it. The satelite companies are milking this for all its worth with all these switch to satelite commercials i'm seeing.

My family use to have cablevision until we switch to Time Warner. I was wondering for all of the people who have had satelite and cable which one do you think is better?
