According to Ghostbusters HQ, http://www.ghostbustershq.com/ , Ghostbusters 3 isn't dead after all, but is actually gaining steam.

This is great news. I loved the movies, and I'd really love a new one. The 80s are comin' back, baby!

That's good news, but let's make sure we've got an eye on where the gas AND the break are located. I hope they take it slow and really make the sequal work, while learning from some character mistakes from the second one. So I guess it's doable, but I'm hesitant. I mean, after that talk on the tragedy of sequals that we did....

I think that this is gonna be a sequel in the fact that people bust ghosts and live in the firehouse. As far as I know, this is going to be a new group, and cameos will be written in for the OGBs. There might be more focus on Ray and Egon than simply a cameo (hey, they're making this movie happen, after all) but Peter will most likely be just a cameo and I don't really know about Winston. Murray's the only one who hasn't put on alotta weight, so it'd be cool to see him back in the grey.

i think that the gost busters is one of the greatest movie ever they otta make three. the one problem would be whether or not they would the origanal cast back. that is the worst thing about sequals is they will get a new actor to play a main charecter in the movie.

I remember Extreme Ghostbusters. While I have to admit that I did watch it and it was somewhat enjoyable I fear that atmosphere for Ghostbusters 3. Its like Xmen Evolution and Spiderman Unlimited etc. Batman Beyond was the only that really pulled it off.

I dunno. The second movie was such a let down--and if the continuity is continued from there, Janine and Tully will probably be married with six kids--ugh!

I don't think Murray is at all interested in another sequel. I can see a movie about a new crew, possibly with Ray and/or Egon at the helm.

I am kinda interested in the new Rietman movie coming out--what's it called--Evolution? Looks like it has some of that wacky spirit that was a part of Ghostbusters success.

--I always got a hoot out of that Professor Dweeb guy who was always chasing after Slimer. :D Though I don't think he would work in the movie, unless they got a really goofy one-star actor to play him--like Carrot Top or Pauly Shore. (cough)shamelesspanderingtothecrumbcrushers(cough)

Actually, from what I hear, he's more interested than he was a couple months ago, and that's a start.

G'Buster's NEEDS Murray. If he is once again showing interest, it means the script/story must have been changed/tightened - which is a good sign indeed!

As for G'Busters II....... I hated it when I first saw it - I thought it was almost a scene by scene remake of the original.... however, as time passes I actually enjoy it more than the original! Murray is so sharp in II..... but that's just me...... as a film, G'Busters wins hands down!

ARGH! I hated that toony version of the show! I would hope that a 3rd live action movie would have zilch to do with the awful toony version!

I will admit that Dweeb was actually a good character--but not for anything involving Real Ghostbusters. Norman and his unseen mother...the Psycho reference always amused me. Not all that hot on the pink poodle, tho.

RGB was a good show, up until the last few scenes. It was well written, and alot of them had good characterization.

The Slimer! show sucked. Character designs were horrid, as were the stories from what I can remember (I was a little young).

I liked dweeb himself because I just always like "crazy scientist" types. But I never liked poodles :P

I remember seeing only one episode of the cartoony thing,though...it was an ep with two ghosts named sleaze and slob, who could form into "the blob".If I remember right, they looked a lot like the thing that popped out of the garbage can in the original opening to RGB....how I remember these types of things, and why I care about them,I will never understand.

I remember being very annoyed by the cartoony style busters and how they were pushed into the background where slimer originally belonged.

Now,a show with EGON stealing the spotlight, that would have been great!

Remember, though, that Real Ghostbusters and Slimer! were two different shows. Slimer! was a kiddier spin-off.

There was an ep of RGB that Dweeb and Slob and Sleeze. Not one of the best. I also remember an episode where the GBs were turned into cartoon characters. Not pretty.
