I'm gonna go with styrofoam. Think about his crass personality. He's gonna want to leave as big an impression on the world as he possibly can, and what better way to do that than be made out of something that's going to be sitting in a landfill for a LONG LONG time...
Then again, the same could be said about plastic. :D

It'd have to be wax paper. Note he's set afire in "Rabbot"--burn styrofoam and it, being petroleum-based, turns to black goo. He only suffered minor singe marks.
My query is, what's that green guck he spits out during his attack?

I'm thinking paper. Recycled Paper. He's not as bright as the brand new paper cups out there. Seriously.

I am going to say plastic just because no one has said it but not the good kind of plastic cup that you could keep to use at a later time and date... I am talking about the crappy thin plastic cups like at Taco Bell... but maybe that is just because I have a 32 ounce tacobell soda in my hand right now... but that is what I think shake is... sort of

Shake ain't so stupid -- he's self-absorbed.
Which is, I suppose, another good argument for paper.

Hear ye, hear ye, let all who walk these hallowed halls knoweth.
The Adult Swim forum hath spoken, be it now and forevermore decreed, that Master Shake, being a character of dubious distinction, is composed of PAPER, wax coated, with a cap manufactured of the cheapest plastic.
Here endeth the proclamation.

Of course!
A) He doesn't burn black smoke. That rules out styrofoam.
B) He caught ablaze, that rules out plastic which would've had a small flame at best. Mostly melted.
C) He doesn't get soggy when swiming, he must be coated with something.
The real question here is what type of meat is Meatwad?
