Which studio made the better plot or concept driven cartoon shorts, Warner Brothers or MGM?
What I mean is cartoons that don't use the iconic characters like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Daffey Duck, etc.
Weather it is a fairy tale or fable adaption or parody, or an original series, cartoons shorts that rely on the writing and not star power.
I think I give the edge to MGM, I think they did more plot and concept driven cartoons than Warner Brothers, and they were really creative and brillant. Of course Warner Brothers had more iconic star characters at their disposal.
