hello I am new here and I could not find the appropriate place to post an introductory thread. So i came to the next best place and wanted to ask if you guys also discuss classic cartoons.
talking about waay back from the early 1900s dating from the first animate short from blackton's "humorous phases of funny faces"?
I may be 23 but i lead an interesting life since my mother worked at an old folks home in burbank area. (mind you I was around 7 at the time) There was a particular old man that was there...for the life of me I could not remember his name but he noticed that I have a passion for cartoons for a little kid. He used to be an animator back in the day and gave me a VHS tape of 1930s cartoon shorts starring Flip the frog. He used to be an animator who worked with Ub Iwerks.
From there on I always done my research on how to find classic cartoons because for me it was charming interesting and today thanks to the internet I can see them once more again.
Of course I enjoyed later animations in the years and even modern times (heck I watch cartoons still to this day)
Just wondering if I am alone with cartoons before mickey's "plane crazy" short.
I pretty much know history of american animation in the back of my head
