Batman's extra long ears in JLA

What does everyone think of them? Personaly, I love the new Bat ears.:D I loved the ears on Terrys costume, and these ears are like that, except they seem to stick out to the sides more. Actually, if you think about it, Batmans ears should have been long the whole time! A bat's ears are long, so to make him truly look like a bat, he should have long ears! I'm glad Timm decided to make this little change. Anyways, i've rambled on long enough. So what does everyone else think?

For now I really don't like them. They just look too weird on Bruce. And to me, short ears fit more... just take a look at Batman in The Dark Knight Returns... his extremely short ears look very imposing.

I mean, bats (Chiroptera) have extended, wide pinnas which they use to hunt in the dark. Though not blind, as popular lore says, they're pretty myopic little buggers who like to fly at night and hide in dark places during the day, so they don't need their eyes much.
Now for a really absurd send-up of the Bat-costume, dig Die Fledermaus on The Tick...he's got Perot-proportion ears, a flat, spread nose, and clawed boots!
Plus as I've said before, I always thought the ears of Adam West's cowl were too wee (and it had eyebrows--snicker--painted on it!).

I love 'em. I like the retro/Bob Kane look that it gives him, and I've always been a fan of artists who draw Batman with big ears. One of my favorite Batman artist is/was Kelly Jones, who drew ears that were ridiculously long.

That's the only reason I like when the ears are sort of longer than, say, BTAS or TNBA style. Bob Kane's original. I loved it!! But if they're going to be longer than that, then they have to be on the extreme. I don't like em 'not too long, just long enough to be odd' like in TNBSA's "The Demon Reborn." That looks odd to me.

But I'm happy with the JLA showing right now.

Still don't really care for them. Maybe i just need a little getting used to them though. Actually, this pic looks to fake. Not exactly fake, but i think they'll look different drawn on actual cels, so maybe i'll make a better judgment then.

I agree with the people who said it reminded them of the Bob Cane Batman. I love them and am glad that they decided to make them longer. I always thought that they were too short in TAS.

Uh.....I think I should point out that it's Kane not Cane... ;) I hope that was a typo....and I understand if it is....I make em all the time!! :)
