Looks like Inspector Gadget has a new online home (and they have more than the meager 5 eps that kewl cartoons provides as well!):
http://www.hulu.com/inspector-gadget-original-series
And theyve also got this:

(btw, is there a way you can request shows you'd like to see hulu pick up?)

Wow, it seems that Cookie Jar Group and partner Vivendi's NCircle are bringing the DIC shows on Hulu. Interesting.

You must have made a mistake on the second link.

I don't think DEEK owns MCOG anymore. Whoever does, though, should be thanked for this.

You should still buy the DVD set; it's good.

Well, DIC is all but dead, and I think Cookie Jar has some rights to the series.

EDIT: You're right.

I saw the original pilot episode (AKA: "Winter Olympics") yesterday, and I can happily report that the show doesn't have a Cookie Jar logo. I was actually relieved to see A DIC logo on there, even though it wasn't the original one (whichever one it was; I don't think that the "Inspector Gadget" DIC logo was used for the pilot, and they OBVIOUSLY didn't use the "vortex" one either).

In any case, FYI, the version featured on Hulu is the rebroadcast version from the early 1990's (the original broadcast version doesn't have episode titles), but features the "Incredible World of DIC" logo (which again, is at least not the Cookie Jar logo).

I noticed that Hulu.com basically just used the DVD prints of the series, from that DVD set Shout Factory put out a few years back, since most of the episodes have their episode titles added to the start, and all of them use the "Incredible World of DiC" logo followed by the original LBS Communications logo. BUT... the DVD set's versions of "The Boat" and "The Ruby" use the 1990s "Kid in Bed" DiC logo at the end instead of the "Incredible World of DiC," but the Hulu versions do not. And, like the DVD set, it only has the first 22 episodes, but I hope they'll be adding more soon! (But maybe I could do without the inferior second season.)

We can only hope.

I would assume MCoG is owned by Jean Chalopin himself since that was one of the things he bothered clinging onto all these years. A DVD release of the entire show was made possible last spring here in the states.

And it (the R1 DVD you refer to) is actually based on the U.K. R2 release (it even has the "PG rating" from the system the U.K. uses; on the packaging, I mean).

Also from what I heard, Chalopin didn't exactly "cling onto it". He actually bought the rights from M.K./Studio Pierrot (or from some entity if not them), and now as pointed out, he legally owns the rights.

Thanks for the clarification. Surprised the R1 DVD's even keep the rating despite the fact it wouldn't matter here (The show could easily rate TVG around here).
