Wow, Justice League is finally being given a rest? They've literally pounded those 39 episodes into the ground nonstop for the last three years. I wonder if and when JLU comes back, if Boomerang will rotate it with the first two seasons of JL to boost it's episode count.

YES

It might not be classic per se, but it's still an awesome show.
I wonder if Megas XLR is next.

About freakin' time, I say. That show's been looping on Boomerang for what seems like eons.

(Samurai Jack) might not be classic per se, but it's still an awesome show.

It's finished its' run, and Cartoon Network doesn't air it anymore. That's the only requirement for a show to air on Boomerang now. 'Classic' is a subjective term, and therefore irrelevant. Boom is no longer about so-called classics; it's just CN's recycle bin.

I wonder if Megas XLR is next.

We can hope.

Why would the Cookie Jar shows come to Boomerang when they're going to have their own channel (Cookie Jar TV)? And you're not going to see Loonatics Unleashed anywhere, because it was a bigger disaster than the Hindenburg. My advice: buy the Loonatics DVDs.

Here in the U.S., the Filmation shows are tied up in legal red tape over who actually owns them. Turner doesn't own the broadcasting rights to any of them, and their not going to be able to acquire them by this fall.

I wonder if Megas XLR is next.

Dude, if Boomerang announced that it was going to start showing Megas XLR, I'd have a fangasm right here in front of my PC.

Tiny Toon Adventures is aired on some foreign Boomerang channels, such as France, so I guess it's possible.

Samurai Jack returns to TV? AND Mask of the Phantasm? I really wish I had Boomerang now...

WHY, COMCAST, WHY?

first off, I find it sad that they RARELY air "Alice in Wonderland or What's A Nice Kid Like You Doing In A Place Like This?" because the tv film is brilliant and a visual delight

second, In terms of programming
here what i want to see done for the channel

Return: The Cattanooga Cats, Ruff and Reddy
Remove: The Banana Splits (no offense but it's a boring show), Justice League, Baby Looney Tunes, Krypto The Superdog and The Mr. Men Show
Acquire (Big list)
--------------------------
- All 3 Puff The Magic Dragon TV Films
- The Point
- The Raccoons
- The Dreamstone (from Cookie Jar)
- The Wombles (both the Filmfair series and the CiNAR revival - from Cookie Jar)
- The Nelvanamations (from Nelvana/Corus)
- The Care Bears (from both Cookie Jar for the DiC version and Nelvana/Corus for the popular '80s-'90s version)
- Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot (maybe live action but still a classic)
- Astro Boy (both the original '60s version and the '80s revival)
- Kimba The White Lion
- Linus The Lionhearted
- Hot Wheels (the 1960s cartoon)
- The Chucklewood Critters (specials and TV series)
- The Mr. Men and Little Miss cartoons from the UK (made in the '70s and '80s respectively)
- All Filmation Archie/Sabrina shows
- Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids

They should have take in off The Batman instead of Justice League Unlimited.

Remove: Justice League

Um, re-read the original post. JLU will be replaced by Samurai Jack effective August 3rd.

And technically, it's Justice League Unlimited that's being removed. Justice League hasn't aired on Boom in some time.

Remove: The Banana Splits (no offense but it's a boring show)It's not like you're being forced to watch it. Just switch the Splits off and watch something else when they come on.

I would not be surprised if Justice League starts airing on Disney XD but since CN had more involvement in that than previous DCAU shows I guess maybe they'll be able to retain the rights.

Wish they'd play Batman Beyond and Real Adventures of JQ already... ah well. Samurai Jack for the win! Megas wont be far behind... wonder if they'll ever play IGPX.

I'm fine with all this, but my big question is, are they REALLY going to stretch "Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Theives" long enough to fit the Boomerang Theatre slot? It's only 20 minutes!

Of course, Boomerang Theatre could just be 30 minutes that day.

BOOMERANG THEATRE:

8/3 - Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves

Hmm, it would be cool if they showed all three of the Popeye two-reelers in one Boomerang Theatre airing. It's nice seeing some scheduled appreciation for some Fleischer toons.

As a previous poster said, the Filmation cartoons are the subject of an ownership dispute. You're not likely to see Linus the Lionhearted on Boomerang, either, because the characters were originally cereal mascots.

That may actually be what they're doing. It's listed as being 60 minutes (followed by an episode of Dynomutt, which is what airs at 10:30 on days Boomerang Theatre isn't on.)

Even though the Swat Kats have been constantly shown on Boom, I don't like it enough to watch it again.

Is there some sort of rhyme or reason The Centurions is shown not only out of any sort order and not even the broadcast order or is it? Seems the next few episodes are floating around between the 22nd and 30th episodes, though to there credit they are showing multi-part episodes in order.

Samurai Jack must be hiding on my Electronic Guide, I have yet to see it.

As long as they air them all it doesn't matter how they air them imo. I am upset because of the JLU marathon Arise Atlantas Part I was passed over and the next day Arise Atlantas Part II aired.

Strange. My guide is showing it.

Sometimes it'll do that. When Chaotic and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds came on Cartoon Network, a couple days prior the guide still showed Scooby Doo as being on at that timeslot.

Why take off Justice League Unlimited and not The Batman for Samurai Jack, Boomerang is not the same without Justice League Umlimited.

Because they've been running the same 39 episodes 7 days a week for the last three years. It'd be a different story if they added in the first two seasons of Justice League and rotated the two shows around, but JLU was getting repetitive.

What's it being replaced with?

We'll be seeing the September highlights in a few days, right?
My prediction: Teen Titans gone, Megas XLR in (Or at least I hope)

It is clearly shown on the schedule accessible on Boomerang's website. The evening showings are being replaced with a repeat of the 12:00pm showing of "The Flintstones", while the overnight repeat is being replaced with a repeat showing of "Banana Splits".
