Because many of them came from Canada and sometimes Canada has less restrictions on what's ok for a kids show.
Its the same reason why Naruto was PG when it aired on CN.

Because it may contain some flirtatious, infrequent language, suggestive dialogue. Like 6Teen, Total Drama Island and Stroked they all from Canada so Cartoon Network has to remove some unsuitable language on Total Drama Island so little kids won't use it, in the olden Cartoons on CN also has the same caution PG rating such as " The Gary Coleman Show" and "The Great Grape Ape Show" from the 90's.
I also thought it was ridiculous that 6Teen has to get away with everything just because it isn't about adventure or reality like TDI/TDA, I guess that's how it goes on CN.

I remember 6teen being on Nicktoons Network once. But IDK why it's moved. And why does CN airs Canada-based shows? Awkward.
P.S. One word underlined, it's actually Stoked, not Stroked.

I remember 6Teen being on Nicktoons, too. I'm guessing the ratings are low
Oh, I thought I spelled it "Stoked" not "Stroked", silly me . Thanks for pointing that error out for me.

Another reason is that Cartoon Network wants to be edgy. Suffice it to say, neither the Disney Channel nor Nickelodeon are going to actively embrace PG anytime soon. Their reputations are built on “family friendly” programming. Cartoon Network feels that they can attract older “tweens” by having shows that have edgier content.
And apparently certain scenes in TDI would "make little kids think its ok to walk around naked all the time". xD (Some parent TV review site or something, I can't recall the name)
Either way, They only have four PG shows, to my knowledge.
Stoked, TDI/A, 6teen, and Clone Wars.

As mentioned, Cartoon Network wants to be edgy and look cool to attract new viewers and possibly steal some from Nick and Disney. It doesn't appear to be working for Cartoon Network though.

How is that awkward?
I remember years ago when CN played mostly Japanese animation. Canada is at least America's neighbor so their cartoons aren't that dissimilar.

Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with airing Canadian shows.

No offense but that really doesn't answer his question.

Uh, I wasn't trying to anwser his question. I don't think there's anything awkward about foreign imports airing on CN.

Especially since CN has been airing shows from other countries (including Canada) for years.
