This is the talkback thread for "Saturday Morning Cartoons" Vol. 2 Coming in October (http://news.toonzone.net/articles/30358/saturday-morning-cartoons-vol.-2-coming-in-october).

Here's hoping for some more Looney Tunes, preferably shorts that aren't on a Golden Collection yet.

I was hoping they'd put out 80s and 90s Saturday Morning Cartoon sets. There's so much stuff they could put on for those two decades (Snorks, Shirt Tales, Mr. T, Histeria, Road Rovers, Static Shock, etc)

I updated the article with the episode listings as per TVShowsOnDVD, but I noticed there were a few duplicate episode entries from vol. 1 on there. So, yeah, this is very tentative info, folks.

I seen the trailer, and I saw The Space Kidettes and Young Samson on the trailer.

I wish the Saturday Morning Cartoons Volume 2 DVD set threw in 2 live action Saturday kid vid bonuses: An episode of Shazam! and an episode of Korg: 70,000 B.C.

Nice to see the 1975 Tom & Jerry Show's part of the lineup! This marks the first release of the 1970s T&J cartoons (my fave version!) on home video. And I wouldn't be surprised to see a Complete Series DVD compilation right on its heels! :D

Why would they put Danger Island on this set? First, it's a live action show, and second, it's a serial and therefore doesn't have stand alone episodes. Seems to me there are a lot of cartoons made in the 60s that are on the 70s set.

Danger Island is a segment contained within The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. If it is on the set, it should be during the Banana Splits show, which got its start on NBC on Saturday mornings.

(Though I really shouldn't hold my breath of them locating the original New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape interstitials...)

I wonder if they got the rights to the earliest Quick Draws..

When Time Warner bought Turner's company, they have the rights to evrything Turner has, including Hanna-Barbera. So they have the rights to Quick Draw.

Interesting mix of shows, but nothing really excites me other than Valley of the Dinosaurs. Been ages since I've seen that and wouldn't mind a full box set.

Kind of wish they had included an episode of Godzilla on the 70's disc, but maybe we'll see that on later releases.

And I second the earlier notion of an 80's and 90's set too. Lots of good old cartoons that don't have box sets out now ( M.A.S.K. and Swat Kats for example) might go over with the newer generation which might lead to full series releases for us old timers :)

Shazzan? Gah. I still have nightmares about that damn laugh of his.
Stupid genie.

The next Vol. will rule!

But if only the others Vols. could be imported to my country!
