Hey everyone,
I usually don't post on this board, but I just wanted to inform anyone(if this has not been mentioned already)that Cartoon Network will have a live panel at this month's San Diego Comic Con.I know that many of you that not been thrilled in the direction that CN has been taking and I hope for those who plan on attending, give this channel hell, as they will be taking questions from viewers.

there pretty Balsy, showing up at a convention where there will most likely be a good number of Cartoon & Anime fans hangin around. They Better be going there to ask the Fans what they want to see on the network, cause if they go to promote there live action. Well I have a filling that we may be seeing more then a few heads roll. For me personally, my heart(and I do mean this)goes out to all of you CN viewers, as I stopped watching this channel, once they got rid of all the classic cartoon series(for which made the channel popular to begin with)and decided to air more original programming. It's hard to figure out on why CN would start to air reality shows(which is the "lowest" form of entertainment)on what is "supposed" to be an called cartoon channel.
Having CN at this year's Comic Con event is like diving into a pool of great white sharks, does this netowrk have even the slightess clue on what they're getting themselves into with viewers face to face?
Lord knows I wouldn't want to be on that pannel.
Also when is Comic Con?
The San Diego Comic Con will be held on July 23-26 at the San Diego Covention Center.

I feel kinda bad for them,
hopefully a mob doesn't raid the panel.
If I could be there, and there was an angry mob,
I wouldn't join, but I would probably just watch.
Does that make me a bad person? :ack:
I hope there are news on upcoming shows like Sym-Bionic Titan,
and Generator Rex. I want to find out more on those.

The reps of Cartoon Network would have to be aware that fans are displeased with the network's recent decisions. Coming onto a convention ignorant of this fact would not be a smart move for them at all.
For anyone attending who plans to address their issues with CN, I would think that it would be best not to come off like an angry mob, but rather to express your dissatisfaction for the current state of CN in an intelligent, concise manner.
Or else, you could just throw a cream pie at them and then say "Remember when your channel used to show that?" :D

True, we're not feeling a lot of love for the Secret Saturdays from CN these days, but it's possible they're hoping the launch of all the upcoming merch will serve as promotion for the series. Don't count us out just yet. And speaking of merch, Mattel has a booth at ComicCon, and will be selling Saturdays toys. Also, Phil (Doc Saturday) Morris and Sam (Zak Saturday) Lerner will both be in attendance, and I provided them with Saturdays art to autograph. Tell 'em I sent you.

And I just found out, the guy who played Finn (the boy)
in the original short (Zach Shada) is not going to be playing Finn in the cartoon.
Instead, it'll be his younger brother, Jeremy Shada.
At least, I think so.

I'm not sure if it would be good or bad if we got CH to rag on CN real in front of the whole convention  one part of me says it would be awesome, another part of me says it would ruin him and he'd never sell another show.
If Stuart Snyder is going to be there, I might actually try to get out there and (try to) give him a piece of my mind.
No, people, no violence. Just angry ranting/lecturing. :p

Being blunt here: When I saw the schedule for SDCC, I laughed my face off. No CN Real panel? I've got to admit that CN's got guts coming to SDCC this year, but they also have brains. They know that twenty billion otakus, animation fans, and CN Real haters will descend on this panel, teeth gnashing. So, what're they doing? Not mentioning it at all. Sure, there may be a whisper here and there, but no OMGZ mega huge panels. It looks like CN is realizing that their Messaih is actually the Antichrist. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if, come fall, there's no trace of Real. In my opinion, we were going to be in for a HUGE restructuring coup. YAH was going to be axed, HHT completly Canadian, and Real making up a good 75% of the network, with a possible name change. But finally, I think they realized how much of a misstep this was. I wouldn't care if at SDCC they flat out lied and said the CN Real was a placeholder while YAH took a break, and they never intended to make it permanant. They don't need to admit their mistake to the public as long as they know they made one and fix it by Fall.
But c'mon, THREE Clone Wars panels? That seems a little forced. I wonder what CH will say at the comedy panel. He seems VERY vocal about his dislike for Real, and even with any contractual stipulations, he still has his rights. I just hope we get confirmation from CH and Thurop about the status of their shows. It's been hush-hush for way too long.
And please, CN, give us a teeny peek at Titan and Rex. PLEASE! I'd also like a final word on how exactly Cartoonstitute will be integrated into regular programming.
Now, I'm off to wait with bated breath for word on Secret Saturdays.
Thoughts?

I agree, I mean, Clone Wars is a great show and all,
but three panels? Really? One of those could've been used for TSS.
It would've been super cool to see Jay & company.

I think at least some of the CN Real shows might be dropped after season 1,

I'm sure it was Lucasfilm rather than CN who decided to have three panels of Clone Wars. I wouldn't blame LFL for the The Secret Saturdays' apparent shut-out. CN should've given it a spot on the action/adventure panel alongside Ben 10 and the sneak peeks of Titan and Rex, but noooo...
It really stinks to see TSS marginalized like that. I hope the toyline is a success, not just for it's sake but for the future of animation on CN.

Despite whoever decided that TSS would be left out,
I'm still sad about it.
I'm hooked on the show, and I had hoped there would've been a Q & A on what's to come, a chance to see the whole team & voice actors,
all that good stuff. It would've been cool to see the kid who voices Zak.
But sadly, it just isn't to be.
At least, I will find some comfort in new TSS toys that my mom let me buy online (not out in Toys R Us yet in my area).

I wouldn't really expect Toon Zone staff to write up something this early. Most people will probably stay until the end of the convention (pretty sure it's still going on as we speak), and then they still have have to write up and post the articles. Check back in a couple hours and you'll likely find some news. Although sometimes it does take a day or two for TZ staff to write up reports of some panels...

I am disappointed. Information was revealed about “Adventure Time”, “Generator Rex” and “Sym-Bionic Titan” and nobody bothers to record them and upload them online? Hell, hardly anybody is even blogging about what they saw; all I’ve managed to find are a few vague comments here and there. I’m not even sure if any actual footage was shown, but a lot of people are looking forward to these shows and it’s a shame that nobody bothered to step up. Maybe it’s because Cartoon Network cheaped out and didn’t get a fancy booth or something, but more people should have been there and they should be talking about what was revealed.
Yeah. I at least expected something from Toon Zone News. Adult Swim didn't even upload their Comic-Con panels on ASV like they did last year.

I believe Harley had hoped more users would have stepped up to the plate and became reporters; remember when she made that announcement asking if people were going to Comic Con? I think that’s what that was about. Of course, it doesn’t seem like any of the other sites covered the panels either.
I just noticed that a user linked to the Ben 10 panel in another thread. Maybe that will have something about “Generator Rex” and “Sym-Bionic Titan” in it. I’ll have to watch that and see if the video has any of the details. I can’t watch it now due to my satellite connections limited bandwidth.

One of the world's biggest and most reputable news sources in the animation world should be expected to cover these types of things, especially news panels. Someone should. Why there is zero news on this panel is a mystery to me.
I'm almost tempted to ask Thurop what happened at the panel on his DA.

I'm almost tempted to ask Thurop what happened at the panel on his DA.It wasn’t just Toon Zone. Newsarama didn’t seem to cover the panels either despite the fact that they felt that it was important enough to mention in an article (http://www.newsarama.com/tv/090709-animated-shorts-chowder.html), and Cartoon Brew didn’t say anything about them despite their recent campaign against Cartoon Network. I know Jerry Beck had his own panels to attend, but he has connections and I’m surprised he didn’t find anything out.
I’d also like to know if CN Real came up at all, but we may never know.

There's a recording of the Ben 10 panel on viddler,
the guy couldn't get full-on shots of the sneak peeks though (wasn't allowed),
but there are tiny, itty-bitty snippets,
and you can hear the audio and voices.
Hopefully we can get a clear view of the peeks sometime soon.

I want to know if they gave a sneak peak of the new Scooby-Doo series. Any one know this?

Wow...I'm surprised at how little info their is on that panel, I mean I missed it to go to another panel because I figured 1) there'd be a long line, 2) someone would talk about it on the net.

Pen Ward did a short comic about the con, and mentions something about the CN panel he was in

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't make it into this and some of the other animation panels. I was jam packed and stacked up this year, not to mention I got shut out of a lot of stuff and had to divert some time for interview/press sessions as well with the voice actors and production people.
Not to mention, having a press badge at Con is virtually useless now in getting into the regularly scheduled events.
