Here's the talkback for Jeff Harris's amazing blog post, "Hypothetically Speaking". (http://blog.toonzone.net/blogs/28/hypothetically-speaking/)

Genius, Mr. Harris. Well said.

And, I think it's worth a note, the video he linked to has a one-star rating out of five, and this morning, when I saw it[From CH Greenblatt's blog], it had a 4-star. I wonder why? [/sarcasm]

When I first clicked on the video I thought it was just a joke that someone made, until I saw that it came from CNthisSummer:crying:

Excellent article.
I laughed out loud a couple of times, but mostly out of how true its subtle message is.

You mean you didn't notice the thread about it in the Entertainment Board?

I don't go on that board every time I visit Toonzone.

Comcast literally canceled Cartoon Network AS SOON as the project was announced. It happened in January. Now, I understand why. I haven't seen :chowder: or :flapjack: in ages, though. I don't think the loss of these two shows was worth it.

Also, I think the CN is forgetting their biggest hit ever [PPG] happened to be animated.

Goodbye, Cartoon Network. I had a good ten years of watching Cartoons every single day and now it all completely with live action stuff , thanks for giving me that good ten years of experience and intelligence :)

R.I.P Cartoon Network.

"Balloons", "needles" and "popped" very interesting terminology.

And HAH Yo-Yo!

Satisfying read Jeff. You always have such a way with words.

Very entertaining post, Jeff, and interesting terminology with "balloons" and "needles". Never quite seen the situation like that.

lol. Nice article, and I agree 100% with this.

It's stupid to add live-action, and it's stupid to rename the channel just so live-action can get on there. People don't want live-action on the channel, period.

And I lol'd when it first used "popped" symbolize them getting canceled and/or removed.

That video was just bad. They're really trying to shove this garbage down our throats.

Great artical very creative funny way to descibes Cartoon Network destruction.

Tell the truth if it wasn't for Adult Swim I wouldn't mind Cartoon Network folding and vanishing. It would suck if Venture Brothers, Robot Chicken, and Bleach lost a home because of CN's idiocy.

Cartoon Network may change but Adult Swim is going to stay where it is because it's doing far too well to be thrown out. Heck they might get another hour of CN's day by next year.

I think he meant adult swim would go bye bye if CN went bye bye, not if the name changed.

Well I don't we have to worry about the #3 kids network just dissapearing as long as it remains successful to a degree but even if it did AS (at least the comedies) would surely find a home somewhere amongst Turner's channels.

Let's put it this way, if Adult Swim was destroyed Cartoon Network would be committing absolute ratings suicide. I don't think the execs are stupid enough to do that.

Adult Swim won't be leaving in the near future anyway. Titan Maximum is premiering in September, we have new Bleach and Moribito going on, and the British version of The Office coming on Fridays very soon too. Not to mention several original AS series coming back for more throughout the fall and new Boondocks being confirmed for early next year.

AS isn't going away by a long shot.

I don't think we have to Worry about AS going anywhere, As long as Nick has Nick@nite I'm Sure CN (even if it does change its name) Will have Adult Swim. :D & if worse does come to worse AS could always move to TBS.

This was a great post but uh I'm sure AS isn't getting canceled but maybe it won't be on CN? They seem stupid enough to do that

Wow..just wow...so CN wants to fully expose the fact they're selling out so drastically, huh..

That article was a fun read, specially because of the terminology used. :p

But it still can't help the fact that this is utterly depressing. It makes you wonder what exactly goes through those moron executives heads. CN may be behind of Nick and Disney, but that's pretty inevitable when your competition it's an already well established media juggernaut. CN had it's own playing field to dominate, the cartoon bussiness. I just can't understand why they ain't doing the opposite of what they are. We all know that this stupid decisions are going to take them to their doom and not make them better than the competition.

But meh..as to that video. That guy has definetly earned alot of haters...this is one of those few intances I wish something bad to happen to someone else. >_>
