I figure I'd list this. These are the new Chowders airing this month:

07/09/2009 - The Brain Freeze
07/16/2009 - The Snail Car
07/23/2009 - The Lollistops
07/30/2009 - Endive's Dirty Secret / Big Food

They're finally returning to new half-hour in the end of the month (whether that's a one-time thing or not is remained to be seen).

This episode was hilarious, mainly because Chowder was hardly in it.

I really didn't like this one. Weak plot, and the fact that it's about a game with no clearly-explained rules kind of defeats the purpose I agree with Kiwi, the jokes are getting worse. And does Truffles have to scream EVERY SINGLE LINE in her annoying grating voice? Didn't laugh once, although I almost smiled when Mung and Truffles kissed in the middle of yelling, and when I saw "Bowser" at the end.

Much better than last week's episode.

While not the funniest of the show's run, I thought it was good. Some funny jokes here, ranging from the impossibly long name of the game (I'll have to freeze frame the title card and write it down), Mung and Truffles making out during the middle of their argument, and Chowder literally warming the bench.

There were three more “fourth wall” jokes in this segment. I know that it doesn’t really matter, as “Chowder” never really had the best continuity, but I just don’t find them funny anymore. Regardless, I didn’t really like this segment that much, but the gag involving the head coach actually coaching heads amused me.

XD Great episode
I like the part when Chowder eats his shirt and hat during the cutaway

Whoever thought that fourth wall jokes would get old?

How did Animaniacs survive through this, then? I think they had a lot of fourth wall breaking jokes, as well.

Actually, all Warner Bros. produced animated comedies had a lot of these jokes.

Have to say I got a good laugh out of the Mario references.

Did anyone notice that the B.L.T.'s were in letterbox?

The full title (probably a misspelling or two on the gibberish words; the words were too small):

Field Tournament Style Up and Down on the Ground Manja Flanja Blanjo Bunga Inbka Blibble Blabble Flubble Dumba Ruenma Flumba Bumba Jingle Jangle Every Angle Bricka Bracka Flacka Snacks Two Ton Rerun Free For All Big Ball

Recess should be Rerun.

I know the show's been abusing the fourth wall-breaking jokes lately, but the ones in this episode were genuinely funny.

I actually enjoyed this one, a lot more than I have many of the other 2nd season shows. There was some good stuff here:

The incredibly long name of the game and its' impossible-to-comprehend rules
Chowder: They (the 2 teams) look exactly the same!
Mung: What are you talking about? One team is wearing white with red stripes, and the other is wearing red with white stripes!
Chowder literally warming the bench
Mung and Truffles kissing in the middle of their argument
King Koopa tossing the entire stadium into the trash after Truffles' team actually scores a point

Plus, "The B.L.T.s" was funnier to me the second time around.

Bowsa!
And some more 4th wall breaking.
:)
Schnitzel & Chowder, MVPs of the year.

You're close. The full title is actually: "Field Tournament Style Up and Down On the Ground Manja Flanja Blanja Banja Ishka Bibble Babble Flabble Doma Roma Floma Boma Jingle Jangle Every Angle Bricka Bracka Flacka Stacka Two Ton Rerun Free for All Big Ball."

I couldn't really understand 2/3 of what Truffles said because of her constant yelling.

Also, the Mario references were top-notch, but don't really fit in with Chowder.

Not the first time in the show, though. In "Chowder & Mr. Fugu", one of the restaurants Chowder takes Mr. Fugu to was being run by two guys that looks like Mario and Luigi.

I know, but I wasn't talking about just this episode. I was actually speaking about the series as a whole.

But thanks for the reminder anyway.

This episode was pretty good. Lots of funny moments. This show certainly isn't afraid to break the fourth wall.

Truffles: I hate this show.

Kiwi: The jokes are getting worse.

Mung and Truffles kissing in the middle of their argument

They randomly make out? Okay...

And a full-on recreation of a Mario game in "Sniffleball".

Plus we had the Katamari gag in "Grubble Gum". Video game jokes are simply par for the course.

I couldn't really understand 2/3 of what Truffles said because of her constant yelling.

Agreed. Both Tara Strong (Truffles) and Nicky Jones (Chowder) seem to be screaming their lines a lot as of late. If the VAs would reduce that, I for one, would be grateful.

Also, the Mario references were top-notch, but don't really fit in with Chowder. How so? It's just alluding to a popular video game franchise. Chowder alluded to Katamari Damashi in last season's "Grubble Gum". They're funny, so I see no harm in them.

Eh, it was ok. I loved it when Truffles and Mung abruptly made out when they were arguring.
Oh, and Mario refrences FTW!
