Well, the schedule loses a lot of interest now that YAH's gone. Hopefully it'll be replaced soon.

I've also noticed that the random airings of Courage, Grim Adventures, and EEnE have become less and less frequent. I see none on this schedule.

I'll watch the semi-new Chowder (though the last few have been less than exquisite) and the semi-new Flapjack, but that's basically all.

I think Richie Rich is new to CN, correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I can understand Courage and Grim Adventures not playing since they are done. What I don't get is the lack of EEnE since they have a movie coming up.

Well, SatAM is more premieres than not now. The last time that happened was . . . June 2008. Huh.

Not as many CN Real reruns this time but now they are in even more intrusive slots than before. I still don't understand why those shows need so many slots even though after Saturday they'll only have two episodes apiece. Then again Total Drama Action is being similarly abused.

If Cartoon Network isn't careful they are going to milk all those shows to death and I don't think CN Real has exactly a lot in the tank to begin with.

The saddest part is that unless there is an hour-long block, the CN Real slots will only be airing the most recent episode. As for TDA, while I hate how it's being overexposed (5 slots in one day? Seriously?), at least they had the decency to put on TDI this week.

Well, looks like I have to get up early if I want to catch the new episode of Secret Saturdays now, but now it sort of fits being on Saturday. Well, now I got something to watch with back to back premieres with TSS and Pokemon, that is if I do get up early.

As always semi-new Flapjack and Chowder, and new TDA and 6Teen I like, as well as a new Survive This, BrainRush, and Destroy Build Destroy.

CN Real Show Airings: 37. Again. There are 16 hours of CN a day. 16 x 7 = 112, so there are 112 hours of CN a week. 37 Airings of CN Real shows is 18 1/2 hours, meaning there are 93 1/2 hours of animation this upcoming week, and subtracting the film on The Flicks, then there are 91 1/2 hours of animation this week, meaning there are 20 1/2 hours of Live-Action.

Shame they're doing seemingly nothing for Independence Day. At least last year the had a Chowder marathon. I might dislike the show, but it was something.

Nice to see TDI getting airings still.. I fail to understand why they can't air Ed, Edd, n Eddy's Big Picture Show, but instead air something like Richie Rich.

I do miss YAH already, but at least all of the shows remain on Crushzone. I hope that they'll be able to do something else with the Friday night time slots soon too. Anyway, I'm looking foreword to the new episodes of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, The Secret Saturdays, new Chowder and Flapjack segments, TDA, the hour blocks of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and I'll try to see The Rise of Darkari as well since I haven't seen that movie for awhile. That's about it for me.

I heard that CN originally wanted to play a marathon before the movie, so it seems like they want to make a big event out of it. I am kind of thinking that they may play it at the end of August as one last hurrah of summer.

That means we now have three shows on the brink of cancellation. Chowder, Flapjack, and now TSS, following in Naruto's and Transformers Animated's wakes. For Flapjack and TSS it hasn't even been one full year since they started.

Ouch. It's just one body blow after another. Memorial music for the occasion (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/186589).

Flapjack isn't quite done yet. Thurop has repeatedly stated that Flapjack isn't canceled, and that CN asked him if he wanted to more episodes in the future.

Anyways, the real reason TSS is being shafted is because the show is falling behind ratings-wise, compared to Batman and Clone Wars. Chowder isn't doing too well either, with new episode doing considerably worse than all the other comedy shows (and it's not because of minimal advertisement either. Flapjack had the same treatment and it's doing much better than Chowder).

Ouch.. So soon?
I didn't like the show, but from what I saw of it, it wasn't bad...
Well, we can always hope that if SS got bad ratings, then the almost-inevitably low ratings for Othersiders and Survive This will bring those to cancellation too.

Despite the scheduling, Cartoon Network has poured a considerable amount of resources into various deals and projects. Books. Clothes. Comics. DVDs. Games. Toys. Etcetera. It showed one at Sunday.

Well lets hope the merchandise sells well. I know I'll be buying a lot of it. But sadly, I am only one person.

That ticks me off sooo bad. Honestly, if the Sats goes down and some of the other stuff gets tossed, with the network going the way it is right now I could care less about them. They've become nearly an empty, souless shell of the former network I used to love to death and constanly compare as being better than Nick and Disney's powers combined. *SIGH* Sorry I'm not ranting myself, but it's getting to me really badly now.

When the heck are the other cartoons they were supposed to be putting on one day going to be showing up? Or can somebody point me to info on those?

Uh... you sure about that? They didn't give Chowder PR, that doesn't neccessarily mean it's doing badly or worse than the others. But that is something that can be assumed. But the better question is... why did Chowder do so well before and apparently isn't doing as well now?

But the better question is... why did Chowder do so well before and apparently isn't doing as well now?D Dubbs did the math on the TDA press release and found Chowder's approximate numbers.

You know guys...that press release gives the overall ratings of HHT, and since it also gives the ratings for the other three shows, it's pretty easy to figure out the ratings for Chowder with some simple math. Here's what I got:

Kids 6-11
Total Drama Action - 5.5
6teen - 3.8
Flapjack - 3.4
Chowder - 3.3

Kids 9-14
Total Drama Action - 4.8
6teen - 3.5
Flapjack - 2.7
Chowder - 1.8

Feel free to check my math, but I'm pretty sure those are accurate.

Considering CN is focusing on 9-14, those numbers are pretty bad. I assume that Chowder dropped the same way that OOJH dropped: strong start but diminishing returns. Despite people saying that Chowder was a bona-fide "ratings hit", I have yet to see any evidence of that besides the initial press release.

Yeah, but the difference between OOJH and Chowder's ratings are that Chowder kept up well ratings for more than a year, the "hype" for the show definitely would've dropped by then. I believe the 4th of July marathon last year was mentioned in a PR, I'm not sure though. But overall, Chowder and Flapjack did about equally well all throughout last year. Whether the sudden drop is temporary or not, it's unexplainable.

If you can find one, feel free to show me.

The fact still stands that Chowder is lagging behind all the other comedy shows, especially in CN's target audience of 9-14.

While it is unfortunate that The Secret Saturdays has been moved, I don't think that it's on the brink of cancellation. Unlike with Chowder and Flapjack, we haven't heard anything from Jay Stephens, the creator of the series, that suggest that the show may not be renewed. Besides, it wasn't just The Secret Saturdays that was moved without noticed. They didn't announce the end of YAH or the move of all the shows on the Crushzone. I just think it's a bit too early to say that TSS is close to cancellation.

From some of the recent ratings I've seen, I believe that is the case as well. The show doesn't have huge ratings, but it does pretty well for a Saturday morning cartoon slot.

Is You Are Here gone for good?
I thought they' would just take it off air until Batman returns,
since I guess they see it as a little pointless to have an entire block with just one new episode.
But I think they've shown YAH without any new episodes anyway before.

We're not so sure if it is gone for good or just on a break, even though it looks more like it's gone for good at the moment. I don't think that it was the fact that they had one new episode on the block. They had quite a few weeks of repeats at one point if I remember correctly. They may bring it back, or start a new Friday block, in the fall for the new season of Clone Wars, or whenever they want to start up the Decoded episodes again.

All of CN real shows are scattered everywhere.
I was foolish to believe they would keep their live action shows on the days/time they were intended to be only.

I'll only tune in for Saturday morning.

I hope it isn't gone for good.
I liked the theme, but I don't get why the blue nood suddenly appeared.
Just for the sake of change? And why was 'limited' printed on his face?
Did that mean the gold guy was going to come back sometime?

Sorry I ask so many questions, the community here really impresses me with how much they know about Cartoon Network, and I've never been able to get clear answers anywhere else. I've learned a lot just by clicking through a few threads. :)

D Dubbs did the math on the TDA press release and found Chowder's approximate numbers.

Well that is true if you get the ratings for the other three and the average for the night you can approximate the numbers and they are not very good. What a shame...

Well, we don't know CN's standards so they may consider those ratings good.

They shouldn't and if they did, they'd have mentioned Chowder's ratings in the PR with the rest.

This should make some people happy... less CN Real repeats.

Starting today, Johnny Test will replace The Othersiders & Survive This repeats from 7-8pm leading into Har Har Tharsdays. Same goes for next week too.

Also, starting next Monday (July 6), CN Real repeats in the 8:30am slot are being replaced by Batman: The Brave and the Bold (which used to air in the slot before CN Real premiered).

Also, while not replacing 'Real' programming, Ben 10 is back! The original series will replace Alien Force airings at 7am weekdays, starting Monday.

The afternoon three-plays are changing next week (from 3-4:30pm):
Monday - Ben 10 in, Clone Wars out
Tuesday - Flapjack in, Total Drama Action out
Wednesday - Johnny Test in, 6teen out
Thursday - Total Drama Island in, Johnny Test out

With all this, Teen Titans is replacing an hour of Clone Wars on Tuesday from 12-1pm. Ed, Edd 'n Eddy will also replace an hour of Clone Wars on Wednesday from 1-2pm.

So, lots of changes. Plus, this is only Monday-Thursday (as that's all CN's old schedule page (http://schedule.cartoonnetwork.com/servlet/ScheduleServlet?action=GO&theDate=7/6/09&timeZone=EST) will go up to), so we could end up with more once Friday-Sunday's changes are known.

Again, this should be some good news for CN Real haters. But, a little questionable for Clone Wars repeats (as 7 airings are being replaced by older CN programming - Ben 10, Teen Titans and EEE).

I wonder if Clone Wars reruns aren't holding up too well.

Good to see CN Real having less encore slots.

Me likey this new schedule.

I think CN is starting to give up on forcing people to like CN Real.

Pretty nice. Glad to see that Cartoon Network is cutting back on the CN Real airings. Though I would have taken the Othersider and Survive This over JT lead in for HHT, but whatever.

Well, I suppose this is a minor baby step in the right direction.
I'm no fan of Johnny Test of Ben 10, but I'd rather watch those shows over CN Real any day.

-Johnny Test is decent, and it's animated. Good.
-Good. Batman: TBATB might not be good IMO, but it's animated.
-I'm not a Ben 10 fan so this doesn't matter to me
-Nice to see TDI is still airing while TDA is being aired.
-Awesome. More Ed, Edd, n Eddy means we might get the movie soon.

Maybe Chowder and Flapjack will share the 8pm half-hour, since both are already showing half-new episodes.

Actually I think Flapjack will move to 8PM and Chowder will leave Har Har.

You know, HHT being three-quarters Canadian Flash by THE SAME PEOPLE is frankly pathetic, like Toonami had a tendency to be when it was all-anime (really the only awesome all-anime lineup Toonami ever had was G Gundam/DBZ/Yuyu Hakusho/Rurouni Kenshin). But at least the anime Toonami showed was done by different people. HHT is frankly being monopolized by the creators of TDA, 6teen, and Stoked.

If Johnny Test tosses off the final original series airing on the block, whether that is Chowder or Flapjack, I'm going to feel a serious need to bust some heads. Unfortunately I can't do that without going to jail so I'm going to just blast athe Covenant and Flood in Halo and pretend they're Cartoon Network executives.

It's pretty much like when Toonami was airing nothing but DBZ, DB and DBGT.

But they've never had a comedy premiere block that was mostly acquisitions. They always had more comedy originals than comedy acquisitions premiereing it's QUITE concerning.

It's kinda lame how they did nothing for Independence Day. I expected their on-air logo to be red, white, and blue. Huh.
