Hi there! I've seen a couple of old episodes from PPG recently and I started to rediscover this series overall. Back in those days I stopped watching it after the 4th season, and heard McCracken left the show, which went downhill in its last seasons.

I haven't seen too much eps. of these new seasons, only the 2 specials, the movie, 1 Rowdyruff episode and a musical called "See Me Feel Me Gnomey". This musical episode was excellent, but the others I've seen were less than impressive. I truly hared PPG Rule, the movie sucked as well, and the Christmas special was just OK.

In short, which late (post-McCracken) PPG episodes are worth watching? I mean eps. that are better than "PPG rule" or the movie.

I say none. The post-McCracken PPGs were below par and generally a waste of time. (One of the few shorts from that era that I found remotely entertaining was "Nothin' Special", and that basically contradicted every other episode before or after it.)

Unless you're just a devotee of all things Powerpuff, the last seasons should be avoided at all costs. Thankfully, those eps were at the end of the series, so I can just pretend they don't exist.

The only good thing I can say about the post-movie episodes was that the animation was pretty good.

Not many. Here's a few gems I liked...

Not So Awesome Blossom - It's odd seeing Blossom work as a hot dog vendor, though...

Power-Noia - A nice mind screw episode, but it ends on a somewhat weak note.

Burglar Alarmed - It was hilarious seeing the burglar getting paranoid throughout the whole ordeal.

Shotgun Wedding - The camerawork parodying the Blair Witch Project was hilarious.

Aspirations - The only good episode of Season 6

City of Clipsville - A mockery of PPG fanfiction. It's worth a look.

But yeah, the last two seasons were very poor after the film. I haven't seen the Final episode (See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey), as I haven't bought the full series DVDs yet.

Eh, the only post-movie PPG shorts that I kind of liked were "City of Clipsville", where Craig McCracken responds directly to PPG fan fiction and we get a glimpse of the Girls as teenagers, and "Boys Toys", and the only thing I liked about "Boys Toys" was that in this short we learn that Princess Morebucks does indeed have a mother (In her 1st scene we see Princess yelling at someone on the phone in the backseat of her limousine, and she ends the call by saying "Bye, Mom.").

But overall, I agree with what was said earlier; PPG seasons 5 and 6 sucked and should be avoided like the Plague. I personally wouldn't bother with any of them.

"Shut the Pup Up" - The dog has some very amusing lines.

"Pee Pee G's" - Odd concept, but funny in my opinion, with an amusing conclusion.

"Curses" - Like "Sailor Mouth" from Spongebob, this is a great idea and also done quite well here.

"Sweet n' Sour" - I found this cute episode also some good commentary on how sometimes people and the media treat villains in a positive light when they should be just be called out as EVIL!

"Mo' Linguish" - One of my all-time favorite PPG episodes, possibly because a close relative of mine has tought English at a community college (not by law, mind you). The concept, execution, and writing by Amy Keating Rogers is absoultely hilarious.

"I See a Funny Cartoon In Your Future" - Great send-up and tribute to Rocky & Bullwinkle

"See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey" - Another one of the best of the series. Great accomplishment.

I just watched "Nothing Special".

Sorry, if I hurt someone's feelings, but this was the worst piece of junk I have witnessed in a long time. The first couple of minutes with the flaming giant squirrel was not only predictable, but painful and disturbing to watch as well. Then a long boring scene with some continuity errors and never before seen superpower, then the ending with the rolling tongue. Oh my, I want my 11 minutes back. :o

These seasons must be real bad, if this excuse of a cartoon is good compared to the others.

Watched "City of Clipsville"... really, what the hell was going on? Was this just a cheater cartoon? I don't remember many of those flashbacks.

What was the one where they were swearing? I remember I cracked up so hard when I first saw that one.

Not so awesome Blossom was quite good, altough far from perfect. Craig McCracken is actually credited here.

Watched some more (6 eps since my last post), and the only one I found remotely interesting was "Bang for Your Buck". It partly reminded me season 2-3, but the ending was quite weak.

The rock bottom was "A Made Up Story". Ouch, this made "Nothin' Special" look like a masterpiece. Very disappointing stuff.

That's because none of them were from actual episodes. They were all based on PPG fanfic ideas that were conceived by the fans of the show.

I think I repressed my memories of those episodes. There's one where the Prof gets married to Fuzzy which is just silly. One where the girls are teenagers which I only know from Google images. And one where the girls are microscopic and fight microscopic robots, right? The rest is a blur.

I liked some, like not so awesome blossom.

I would say the best ep of seasons 5 and 6 is "Makes Zen To Me" it was good character stuff, and the board artist is one of my fav Samurai Jack board artists as well.
