Premieres: June 18th at 9:00 PM Eastern
Repeats: It'll repeat.
The second episode airs tonight on Har Har Tharsdays. Here is the synopsis:
This episode basically picks up the exact next day from episode 1, as Owen still has some "internal bodily" problems after eating fake food props from the last challenge.

Gonna tape this one too, just like I taped the last one! I tape all of them, so I'm obviously a huge fan!
Also whenever a contestant gets voted off, I will be posting a flowchart on my DeviantArt site that keeps track of the contestants' progress in TDA. You'll be able to find out who got voted off and who's still in the game! Keep in mind the chart will only mark the progress in episodes that have actually aired in the United States. Progress in episodes that have aired only in Canada for now won't show up on the chart.
Question is, when is someone going to be voted off? It could be tonight, it could be the next week, or the week after that. You'll just have to watch the episodes to find out!
Also, Puzzleglum, can I do the retrospective for the characters this season with you?

Even though I only saw this episode once (as well as the next episode), I know a lot about this episode, hm.

Still don't understand the point to these dialogue changes. To me, some of the content (such as the on-screen vomiting) are more offensive than anything the characters can say.

Still don't understand the point to these dialogue changes. To me, some of the content (such as the on-screen vomiting) are more offensive than anything the characters can say.It seemed like a reasonable edit to me. Cartoon Network may be taking a more liberal approach to their censorship this season, but the United States is still a lot stricter when it comes to anything remotely sexual. Cartoon Network did what needed to be done.

I'm glad Geoff and Bridgette left. The gag of them making out was really getting old. Though, I wonder how far they would've gotten if they hadn't kept making out.
...They edited dialogue? :/
This is rated PG for a reason.. I don't even really see that as necessary.

It was an intruding episode with the whole Alien hurt challenge going on. Cartoon Network may edited more stuff from the future episode just like this one, I don't see why they have to edited " Unpantsing" and replace it with "Romancing" that doesn't sound right at all.

You know, only two episodes in, and already there are zero Killer Bass girls remaining. And only three Bass in general. And to think it seemed lopsided last season :p....
Really though, it seemed kinda' a shame that Bridgette and Geoff were reduced to prepetual making out this season. Guess they had to make cannon fodder out of someone.
So far, it seems Heather's main reason for being is to be the season's punching bag. I have to feel kinda' bad for her. I mean, sure, she was pretty darn terrible a person last season... guess karma wasn't through with her. Kinda' wonder if her main role is going to be early cannon fodder, though. I'd rather they do more with her, but I guess that remains to be seen. I did really like the bit with Heather suggesting they stick together, and everyone else suspicious of what Heather was trying to get at.
And Iz... err, E-Scope just matter-of-factly stating they don't like her. Ah, love E-Scope. Really fun scene with her and Chef battling... not at the same epic level of last season's hide and seek battle, though we did get a death fake out on E-Scope's part. She's just a lot of fun in general.
Nice to see all the Duncan and Gwen bonding. We saw a little last season, and it's nice to see more of that. Though this time, we're also seeing a bit of Trent's notable jealousy. And it's probably for their best that Courtney isn't there. Can't imagine she'd like seeing that.
I don't see why they have to edited " Unpantsing" and replace it with "Romancing" that doesn't sound right at all.
Sounded perfectly natural to me. As far as Total Drama edits have gone, this one seems fairly benign to me.

Personally, I've already seen this episode so I don't have much to say about it. I guess other people have the same reason.
But I'll just reiterate my thoughts from months ago. The eliminations weren't surprising the least. I knew the second I heard that two characters would be going which ones they would be.
I'm definitely not a big fan of fart humor and, while this episode contained some, it was fairly easy to ignore so no real complaints.

Even though CN is editing less, they still have to make certain edits like this to get it past S&P.

Also, Puzzleglum, can I do the retrospective for the characters this season with you?
Sure. We can alternate from week to week. I'll take this first week. Either that, or we can both post our own analysis and stuff.
WEEK 2:
Geoff & Bridgette: The Inseperable Couple
1) Monster Cash: Caught making out during the challenge. Quickly captured.
2) Alien Resurr-eggtion: Caught making out. SHot down by Chef. Voted off.
Analysis: Wow, Geoff and Bridgette weren't much of a help this season compared to the last. I think that seperatly these two would have done well, but together they're obviously distracted. It's too bad that they were voted off first, but if I were a contestant, I would have done it too.
Popularity: Lukewarm. 5 out of 10.
Act-o-meter: I don't think (clumsy) Bridgette or (not-so-bright) Geoff would have lasted that long on a film set, even if it they were seperate.
On another note, I'm looking foward to the new teams next week.

...They edited dialogue? :/

It was only one line and the edit felt reasonable to me. Cartoon Network has been less strict with the dialogue edits, as seen through 6Teen episodes but as The Huntsman already pointed out, the United States still have pretty strict standards regarding dialogue that's too sexual. Besides, I find that the use of unpantsing in the dialogue a bit disturbing, but that's just me.
I thought that this was a nice little episode. I thought that it was cute how Trent was jealous of Gwen getting close to Duncan like that. Chef in the alien suit and with paint ball guns was kind of cool too. It seems like no one will want to team up with Heather. I can't say I blame them considering how awful she was in the first season. Izzy was being herself, though I wonder how Chef could have thought that she died from a paintball too, Even though Gwen and Trent helped each other out, they'll have to fight against each other in this season. That's too bad, but I probably should have seen that coming since that would add in more drama to the show.
I also should have seen Geoff and Bridgette being voted off coming before the last few moments too. I wasn't too surprised with that since they were too focused on each other and the whole kissing gag would have gotten too old too fast. Though, I think that being more focused on each other than a chance to win a million dollars is kind of cute. Besides, voting them off together does avoid episodes where either Geoff or Bridgette would be depressed, similar to what happened to Geoff last season.
Overall, a decent episode. It will be interesting how things turn out next week.
I liked the twist on the elimination. That was unexpected.

Figures we'd get edits----the US is pretty prudish about sex/sexuality compared to other Western nations, including our northern neighbor. "Had to be done" my--- (gets ironically bleeped). ;-) Agree with the above person though that the bathroom jokes are way tackier than referring to girls as being "hot"...
As for the low participation, in my case I've been on vacation for the past week (in Washington DC), which is also why I've not posted my usual old-comic-trivia stuff to the "Brave and the Bold" threads, Bat-fans (but soon as I'm home, I'll catch up and do so :-p ). There's also that most of the posts probably got posted to the Teletoon thread, but as I said before, I'll be reposting my thus-spoiler-free remarks to here (with updated notes).
So, here we go:
An entertaining enough episode, though a bit slow in parts.
Movie Genre:
Alien invader sci-fi films, but more specfically (if broadly) Chef parodies the aliens from the "Alien" series of films. The title refers to the sequel "Alien Resurrection", a 90s entry.
Comments:
- Beth was cute (with her "if I believe hard enough"-type speech).
- Izzy is still insisting on "E-Scope", and DJ is still a Shaggy-esque coward. :-)
- Hmm... wonder if Trent, Gwen and Duncan will amount to something bigger... or for that matter, who'll be on which teams?!
Old-but-amusing cartoon gags:
- Izz---er, "E-Scope" pulling out from nowhere a ridiculous-sized gun, something done a million times in old theatrical cartoons.
Canadianisms:
- DJ tells his Mom she can cash in his "Raptors cards". Presumably DJ's a fan of the Toronto Raptors, the NBA pro basketball team in Toronto (and Canada's sole NBA franchise since the Vancouver Grizzlies moved a few years back to Memphis).
- Slime being dumped on Chef seemed reminiscent of "You Can't Do That on Television", the popular 80s kids' series produced by Canadian television station CJOH-TV, Ottawa's (the nation's capital) affiliate for Canada's CTV television network, though the station's signal (like that of Ottawa's other TV stations) also reaches far-northern New York state (CJOH's signoffs posted on, erm, the-unnamed-site, specifically refers to "our viewers in eastern Ontario and western Quebec, as well as our US neighbors").
Next week:
Another film genre parody...

I left out talking about relationships in last week's premiere because I knew who was going to be the first one booted off. I didn't expect two people, though... but in this case, the right two people.
Geoff and Bridgette were the cutest couple out of any of those established last season. But then they started making out. At first I didn't have a problem with it... it was sweet. But then that's ALL they've done since their reunion in the Losers' Villa. It quickly got groan-worthy, especially here in Season Two. I'm glad they're gone (at least 'til the recap episodes, where we'll all be tortured to more)... but it's particularly saddening as a big Bridgette fan, to see her character turn boringly one-dimensional so quickly. (I'm not against Geoff and Bridgette being a couple, just against them doing nothing but making out.)
The second 'best' couple, meanwhile, hit a speed bump, as it seems Duncan has found another connection with Gwen, to Trent's chagrin. You know, even though Heather's to blame for Gwen and Trent's initial break-up, they still haven't exactly gotten back to where they initially were (despite their actions in last season's finale). Duncan doesn't seem to be making an actual play for Gwen as of yet, but Trent seems to sense something is up.
I wish Harold would just drop it with Leshawna (it's not going anywhere), and I'm not sure Owen-Izzy is gaining any steam, either.
Speaking of Izzy... boy, she and Chef sure have a penchant for getting into some entertaining fights, especially this week's paintball showdown. I definitely hope we see more of those in the near future.
And Chris really needs to pay Chef... we all know how he can get when he's cranky, and he's not that far off.
Good episode. Next week looks to be an emotional one, literally.

I really wish they'd stop the toilet humor with Owen. I've never really found it very funny and now it's just embarrassing. It's getting kind of hard for me to continue liking Owen when this is all he's used for...

Yea, Owen really hogged up the spotlight last season with his farting and eating. It gets tiring after awhile.

- I understand Geoff and Bridgette making out to make up for lost time (Bridgette getting sprayed by the skunk and then kicked off), but really, if this is all they were going to do, TDA is better off without them.
- Chef: "Say hello to eternity" and "I hate my life". Great delivery on both.
- Poor Harold. Let's hope Leshawna lets him down easy.
- 'Trent is a tool'. 'Trent is annoying'. Okay, where the hell did this come from? He's just looking out for Gwen. What, it was wrong to value her necklace over the eggs? Now, I'm not up to date on all these cartoon trends, but isn't it a good thing to see someone do something nice for someone they like-like (as opposed to, say, threatening/insulting them every chance they get), or am I just preaching to the wrong choir?
- Also, someone feels sorry for Heather? This is karma's foot-to-hiney technique. You're saying that the (rhymes with 'witchy') girl shouldn't be knocked around a little and pay for past crimes? Just because they got away with that crap on "Kim Possible" doesn't mean that every show needs to follow its example.

That is what I think. Which is why I think she will stick around for a while. The writers want her around just so they can pick on her.
If you think that is bad,
Wait till episode 4.

I agree with you. Though I also hope that she actully learns some lessons from this karma.
I prefer karma when characters get punished for doing bad things, but when they do something good, they should be speared punishment and maybe even rewarded. Like they do for Team Rocket on Pokemon. Whenever they are on their good behavior, they are spared their usual "Blast off."
