C&C- Bleach - "The Wailing Bount! The Last Clash" [4/4]

Bleach airs tomorrow night/Sunday morning at 1am, with a rerun of last week right before at 12:30am.

Last Week: Ichigo used his bankai and began to fight Kariya. Rantao revealed that there are multiple Jōkaishō scattered throughout Soul Society that will detonate when Kariya uses his Jōkaishō, and the 13 squad dudes began to seal all of the Jōkaishō. Meanwhile, Ichinose randomly appeared & revealed that he was betraying Kariya. K-dude easily dispatched of him, though.

Tonight: Ichigo vs. Kariya... Canon kid vs. Filler villain... who will win?

Spoilers: Do not reveal anything past this point. Doing so would ruin everyone's enjoyment and yadda, yadda, yadda.

Well I don't have much to say yet about this episode, as I risk spoiling things. But I have enjoyed the latest Bleach adventures this week. So I might enjoy this episode even more than normal because I am in a good mode when it comes to Bleach.

The latest chapter is one of the best in a while, and I don't care what anyone says the latest episode of the anime I loved it. It was awsome for what it was. So this week, I am in a good Bleach mood.

Last Time: The final battle begins as Ichigo morphs to Bankai mode and fights Jin. Uyru runs off with an injured and runs into Orihime and the others. Rantau says that essentially the Jokai Crest is nuclear energy and there's more of them. Orihime wants to get to Ichigo because she thinks he might need her non-sexual healing. Then there's an announcement over the speakers about the crest which looks vaguely familar. Ichigo's & Jin's fight leads to the execution area, once again looks familar. Ichinose apparently is not dead, and pulls heel face turn. Rukia finally shows up, over hearing about how Ichigo is fighting Jin. But Jin killed Ichinose, making his return scene, ***DING*** entirely pointless, Also, Orihime, Uyru, & Chad are heading to the execution grounds, do I even need to point out the similarities to the end of Soul Society arc? Jin then reveals his weapon, a lance made entirely of wind. And our episode ends with Rukia telling Renji to take her to execution grounds. Something tells me Renji will carry Rukia if this pattern holds up.

SHOWTIME!

And the first thing we see... Ichigo getting his ass kicked, what a shock.

COME ON, I know the filler arc was coming to an end, but that doesn't mean you had to get sloppy with the script. Did the writers decide to go home early that day? And wow, I kept expecting the "To be continued" caption to pop up towards the end, but the fight actually came to an end. A disappointing end. I didn't really feel any actual buildup, yet I saw the main filler baddie turn into dust in front of my eyes. Meh... hopefully they'll actually have a good wrap up come next episode.

I'll enjoy my favorite finale battle with Ichigo vs. Jin Kariya,which their strengths/speeds during their battle was awesome:D.

Ichigo's Bankai power,Tensa Zangetsu was just AMAZING:eek::D,look at him GO,hehehe:p.

Interesting with all the Soul Reapers trying to seal the other Jokaishos before they GO BOOOMM,hehehehe:p,but no Kenpachi,weird.

Really AWESOME with Ichigo/Jin's super,powerful clash of 2 color powers together:eek::D,I SO love that incredible scene.

Ichigo really DOMINATED this awesome finale battle against the all-powerful Jin & crushed him at the end:D.

Bye bye Jin,you were a great awesome filler villain which I find his death scene pretty neat:),which he killed himself,wow,because of losing to Ichigo.

Man,what a great finale battle which this battle & the Ichigo vs. Kenpachi & Byakuya battles are my most favorite major Bleach battles:D.

Nice to see Ichigo's friends show up at different times to witness Ichigo's huge finale battle.

Personally I gotta say this whole arc was a bit dragged and just very not Bleach like but the battles made up for it.When I first saw Kariya as a villain I thought he was actually awesome. But once we actually saw his powers and him fighting and how he runs away all the time, I lost respect for this evil Bount. Really my favorite Bount was probably Koga due to him actually being smart besides his last battle with Hitsugaya where he kind of just ran at him with a axe. Ichigo's final battle with Kariya was a bit... eh... well it could of been worse, but I heard to many "Why are you doing this!?" and "What are you going to do!?" I mean seriously. Hollow Ichigo did make the battle better even though he just ran out of Ichigo's body, which comes to show HE HAS the power to take over.

Yet I did like Kariya's last words though, I never did look at him much as a bad guy but just someone who just never could stand the people and simply thought "LAWLZ I WILL BLOWZ MYSELF UP AND EVERYONE CAN DIE TO"

And ha! I told you guys Kariya's doll was a cheap lightsaber. And werid enough his doll never talks, I guess he was smart enough to shut it up.

So what have I liked from this arc? The beginning I thought was great with the intro with the dolls, showing how the Bounts are a mysterious German vampire villains who have "plans" to go to "Hueco Mundo". The middle was downright slow and made me want to watch future eps in evil ways, I mean seriously we even had a filler...in a filler! You know the episode when they try to make Bount traps in Ichigo's house, the guy who made that idea for that episode is surely a genius. Now as for the end.. it was actually fast paced and had it's very slow moments and some parts they really did not need *insert Maki dying for the second time*

But besides all the slowness and some dumb episodes, this arc was decent. I have to say that Ichigo vs Koga was probably one of my favorites in this arc due to all the attacks Ichigo had to go through for saving his friend, and hollow Ichigo just made it even more awesome so I'm satisfied with the fights.

Next episode: The Bount arc ends so... time to go home Ichigo!

Two more weeks.. until..the best arc ever..(if you like fighting anyways..)

I read an angry fan's blog about the whole bount arc long before it ever aired, so I knew it was going to end with Kariya going *POOF*

... but it was still hilarious to watch. All this big build up, tension, battle.... just so he can say "OK I give up" and disappear out of existence.

And no, it wasn't Ichigo's fight. I can understad Rantou (sp?) wanting to fight Kariya 1-on1, but not Ichigo (other than being the main character). Kariya was threatening to blow up all of Soul Society, therefore anyone from Soul Society could have stepped in. It's a good thing no one fights real wars that way, it would be a disaster. I hate that about anime... when everyone stands back to watch the main character fight, comments on moves and power levels, gives some BS philosphy about it all...if I was the main character in a tough fight, bleedig from the head, I'd scream "Hey, some help here would be nice!"

I loved Bleach at the beginning of the series because it laughed in the face of all the fighting cliches... but over time it uses more and more of them seriously. Sigh. :yawn:

Anyway, I agree with everyone that this fight kind of sucked. I mean, don't filler writers realize that we want to see the hero beat the crap out of the main villain? We don't want to just see them run at each other and then have the villain go poof. We wanted to see Kariya get beaten, beaten, and then beaten some more. I mean, it can't cost that much to animate someone getting beaten up.

The way you phrase it, now that I think about, a Bleach battle when there is someone to witness resembles a Pokemon battle and other toyetic themed animes like Bakugan for example, battles. Everyone stands and watch the battle and comments on each combadent's move.

While I can understand it being a one-on-one fight between Ichigo and Kariya,it would've been cooler if Ichigo and his team had to take him out together...As it was,mostly it was just everyone else standing around commenting on the fight (Uryu doesn't have powers anymore and Orihime's a healer rather than a fighter, but as for the rest of Ichigo's friends...even if it is "his fight"...)....Hey,even Yoruichi and Byakuya did something other than stand around....

Ok, so instead of saying how this episode mirrored the end of the last arc (did that last week), let's talk about how this was different.
The main villian didn't have any back up, at all.
No one else's life was in immediate danger (like Rukia was last time).
Hollow ichigo made an appearance, and Ichigo didn't pass out! (no mask either).
Ichigo only had one person step in for him (Rukia's bro blocking Kariya's ...um transmission a couple of times were actually of use to the plot, and actually cool hearing him say Ban.....Kai)
And the villian being defeated so easily....speaking of which...

Oh, and to the person who also noticed that Kariya's weapon didn't speak, maybe it was just smart enough to not get Jin started. It would suck as a wind weapon to not have as much air as your host.

I was wondering how long it would take for Ichigo to need to be bailed out by Hollow Ichigo.

I recall an episode or two ago that Mr. 1 said he would personally get involved in helping fight the bounts or sealing the Joukai Crests, but in this episode he's still in his office. Not really helping there.

These past episodes have had a severe lack of Kenny. I doubt Kenny is very good at kido, so he probably wouldn't be sealing any Joukai Crests. You'd think with him always looking for a strong opponent he would be the first in line to fight Jin.

There's plenty they can do. How about invent a new character who has a death note and a new shinigami to go with him. But, have this character be a total psychopath. Not a character like Light who cares about creating a new world and not just a greedy person like the members of the Yotsuba group. I mean, a psychopath who just loves killing people and uses the death note for fun. That would be a great adversary for Light. I actually thought that's who Near was going to be when I first saw him since in the opening his eyes glow evily. Seriously, why do Near's eyes glow like that in the opening?

Honestly, I didn't even realize until the next episode aired that Kariya was dead. He and Ichigo charge at each other, strike each other, there's a flash of light, Kariya stands there smiling and says something vague, then another flash of light comes and he's gone. I thought he escaped or something.
