Cartoons? Bah! CN hates cartoons.

Here's the real scoop: Starting in May, CN will be dropping all animated shows from its' lineup and will become

The Obscure 60's Sitcom Network.

First up: don't miss Dick Sargent and Ubanga in Voodooed.

Enjoy! :D

I am a time traveler from 2009! There will be horrible developments at Cartoon Network in 2009. Such as six reality TV shows, two scripted live-action shows, no Toonami, and Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy will no longer be airing.

It is a house of horrors!

Don't let Betty Cohen be tossed out of Cartoon Network! If that happens all will be lost . . .

Hello, I'm from 2004, and having just watched 'The Goonies', I can say that you're five years too slow.

No, The Goonies aired in 2005. You are evidently from an alternate reality.

. . .

You fool! You're going to merge our realities together so there'll be TWICE as much live-action on Cartoon Network in 2009! You're creating a reality paradox!

. . .

Oh, and Sci-fi Channel is going to change its name to Syfy. But not like we care, right?

And my avatar is proof I come from a different time! This is from a show that will be airing on a newfangled block called

OH NO ITS THE TIME POLICE! Heed my warnings, foolish 1999ers, or we'll all . . . . aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh.

EVERYTHING should air on G4!

Just as long as it's not about video games. Why would a channel called G4 (Games, Gear, Gadgets and Gigabytes) air shows that have anything to do with tech or video games? That would be stupid. G4 should only air shows that you can see on any basic cable channel or on public access or in syndication at 5 AM.

Taking a break from all this April Fool's nonsense, here's some big news from the Turner Newsroom website...
Cartoon Network Unveils New Logo, New Direction This Summer

Cartoon Network has announced today that the network will be unveiling a new logo and rebranding in the summer to accompany "CN AMPT" and "CN Real", two new programming initiatives set to be introduced over the next year. The rebranding will take place during the premiere of Cartoon Network's much-hyped supernatural reality show "The Othersiders" on Friday, July 17.

http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp293/chdr/afd.jpg

The new Cartoon Network logomark, designed by London-based Interbrand displays the two sides of Cartoon Network. "The white side represents our cartoons, and the lighter side of the market we want to conquer," said Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media. "The black side is the heart of our new direction: reality shows and scripted live-action. Something with a darker edge for teens."

"We’re thrilled to be teaming up with one of the world’s most preeminent design firms," says Snyder. "Interbrand has designed some of the most iconic marks in the public eye, such as the Nintendo wordmark and the infamous AT&T globe. We hope that the "Dualmark" will make a lasting impression on the public's eye and brings Cartoon Network to the top." Cartoon Network is the only basic cable channel for children to make double-digit gains in the last year.

Cartoon Network's refresh will take place throughout the next year. The Dualmark and its corresponding rebrand (done by Animal Logic, a previous Cartoon Network alum) will launch in July, along with "The Othersiders". In the fall, "Head Rush", "Destroy/Build/Destroy", and "Survive This" will premiere, along with the "CN AMPT" programming initiative. Cartoon Network and the NBA will team up to provide a Saturday afternoon block focused on sports and game shows. The block will also include the short-form series "My Dad's A Pro", the first of several programming initiatives to come out of the Cartoon Network/NBA partnership. The short-form series follows the children of NBA players, and explores the day to day thrills and challenges that go along with such an exciting lifestyle. The first of these episodes will premiere this fall. Also this fall, a sustained and robust basketball section will launch on CartoonNetwork.com. The customized branded environment will allow sports fans to share their passion for the game throughout the year with a mix of basketball-themed multimedia content.

"CN Real", a programming block of scripted live-action and reality shows is slated to air sometime in 2010. Programming includes "Bobb'e Says", "Dude, What Would Happen", "Unnatural History", and "Prepped" (working title).

Cartoon Network (CartoonNetwork.com), currently seen in more than 97 million U.S. homes and 166 countries around the world, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.’s ad-supported cable service now available in HD offering the best in original, acquired and classic animated entertainment for kids and families. Nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (ET, PT), Cartoon Network shares its channel space with Adult Swim, a late-night destination showcasing original and acquired animation for young adults 18-34. Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner company, creates and programs branded news, entertainment, animation and young adult media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around the world.

ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME!!!

Out of Jimmy's Head is the only decent show that crappy CN's got. It's the only show that got it right--they know that in order for a show to succeed, it's got to have a MILF who works as an astronaut and an annoying weird sister who's a green space alien.

Now all they need to do is make Jimmy into a superhero....

Thats right Cartoon Network announced yesturday that Ozzy Osbourne would be teaming up with them for a new reality show that will be broadcasted on TNN, TNT, Boomerang, and the Cartoon Network on July 17, 2009 called the Osbornes Reality TV Show Program Premiere on TNN, TNT, Boomerang, and the Cartoon Network and it will be replaying on Adult Swim the following night. This is by far shocking news to the public but many people have high expectations on what the Osbournes will bring to the network.

I honestly believed it at first read because, frankly, you did all the things that should be done in a successful prank. You mixed enough real things in with pranks, and the prank stuff was fake, yet to a (disturbingly) believable degree.

You even had my heart sinking in my chest toward the end. With illustrates two things: you're prank was good, and I am WAY too emotionally attatched to a television network. I don't think a negative press release about a television network is really supposed to invoke the fight-or-flight response symptoms in a normal human being.

Almost half of that press release was taken from various real press releases from Cartoon Network, mixed in with executive jargon that is commonly used in press releases.

The sad part is that aside from the logo and a few dates, this is actually happening.

This will be apart of a large chain of renewals from July 2009-September 2009. No cartoon cartoons will be renewed because Cartoon Network sold the tapes and rights to an island in the Pacific Ocean several years ago besides the ones Boomerang still airs.

I'll say! Live action is just what Cartoon Network needs in this day in age! How else will they be able to compeate with Nick and Disney? If CN really wants to get in on the goods they need their own cookie-cutter preteen show. Like, a girl who's trying to make her own cartoon and the hijinks of life she experences along the way! See, cartoons related it back to the "cartoon" part of Cartoon Network.

That combined with the new Osbournes show would make for some GREAT tv viewing!:anime:
