It looks like Cartoon Network is going to be doing something (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=226884) today, so I’m creating this thread so that we can discuss what happens. If “Cow & Chicken” does indeed air, this thread can be used as a talkback thread to comment on the episodes. I decided to lock the other thread because it had veered off-course and I am hoping that this new thread can be a bit more focused. Please keep in mind that this thread is for what Cartoon Network does, if they do anything, so discussions about [Adult Swim]’s pranks should not be discussed here.

Clever. They used the opening for “Chowder” and then went right to an episode of “Cow & Chicken”. Kudos to Cartoon Network for playing ball today instead of doing the mundane. I haven’t seen this series in years.

I just saw that!
At first I was like, "Chowder?"
Then the title card for Cow and Chicken came up and I was like ":D"
Brilliant, CN.

At first I had doubts but CN was clever and aired the opening of Chowder and followed that up with Cow & Chicken! Its great to see the series on the network again! I like it on CN better than Boomerang because it gives a nostalgia feeling and because I have CN-HD and the picture quality IS PROBABLY THE BEST POSSIBLE FOR THIS SERIES!

Do they plan to do this all day, a Cow & Chicken episode after Chowder's opening? If so, it's gonna get old. Fast. I'm already tired of it and it's only been a half hour.

(Note: I don't mean I'm tired of Cow & Chicken, it's a nice treat. I'm tired of them saying they're gonna air Chowder and then "surprising" us with it.)

I love this show, I'm just glad they haven't decided to re-air the same episode over and over again.

The Ugliest Weenie was the most memorable episode of “Cow & Chicken”, at least to me; I watched that episode all of the time back in the day and it’s nice to see them air it. If I remember correctly, an I Am Weasel short should air next followed by part two of the story.

Dang, it seems that they skipped the I Am Weasel short.

What other reason would they have to choose Cow and Chicken as their "Randomly inserted April fools cartoon" Because it's random, weird, and intrusive. It's a great april fools joke. No i don't like the show and I could get into why. It's ugly, it's gross but not charming. too much focus on butt jokes and gross out jokes that really are not that funny. The show was just Cartoon Networks attempts to make a Ren and Stimpy type show without realizing what made ren and Stimpy good to begin with.

Ok it's not as bad as I acted like it was but it really is not that good. It is IMO one of if not the worst Cartoon Cartoons ever.

Yet dispite my feelings for this show I believe this is a good April fools day joke.

The number of anthropomorphic animals and humans in this world, reminds me of Duckman. Mostly humans but a few anthropomorphic animals like the title characters. Just like in Duckman, no one ever questions it, or finds it unusual.

Just like in Duckman, no one ever questions it, or finds it unusual. An episode aired a bit ago that showed Chicken’s grandparents; his grandpa was a human and his grandma was a non-anthropomorphic chicken. The episode ended with them in a passionate kiss. How droll!

I have actually never seen Cow & Chicken, so I will enjoy kicking back today and seeing what this show is all about! Kind of funny about the Chowder opening sequence, but hopefully the don't do it all day, that would definatly get old.

***SLOW CLAP***

Well played, CN.

Amazing, throughout this year, we had a Looney Tunes marathon, a PowerPuff Girls marathon, and now this. Nice to see someone in the higher-ups has love for the old days of CN and has enough influence in control.

I forgot the guy who voiced Wade Duck from Garfield & Friends was Flem.

And Chowder's on. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

Wait, more Cow & Chicken! Wow, it's like the Screwy Squirrel prank from 1997.

The bathroom episode where Chicken didn't want to take a bath was hilarious, I gave a good 5 or 6 laughs throughout the episode, very well done! "I have to go feed the ducks!".....

You know, some of the lines make more sense when you get older.

"I've got Crabs..."

"The warthog!"

Another great episode with Fluffy the Snake! This one was a good one and gave me a few laughs, unfortunatly I have to get ready to start my day soon and I wont be able to watch the marathon much longer. What time does it end?

Hate to say it, but if we're going to get something awesome like this every holiday, it just might be worth putting up with all the live-action and lack of anime.

Ahh yes, the SGC2C parody episode. A friendly little nod to another show on CN. Too bad no one watching this that's under the age of 16 will get the reference.

Chowder used the word "dead" (and references to it) alot in some of the episodes. In separate episodes, both Chowder and Shnitzel said that they "feel dead inside"

Have any episodes been repeated today during this marathon? Also has the Cow and Chicken theme song even aired at all? I'm still glad CAC is airing because this was one of my favorite shows back in the late 90s.

Okay, saying the marathons makes up for live-action was definitely a stretch, but... you know, at least we're getting something of value out of the current CN administration.

Especially awesome marathons of bad shows.
I'm starting to get the impression that you dislike Cow and Chicken, or something. Or it could just be me making wild assumptions, again.

Yeah, seeing Red Guy getting trashed by animals makes me crack a smile.

It's sad that things go back to normal 4:00, it would've been nice if they also marathoned Time Squad or another show.

Holy crap, dream catcher episode.! Can't miss this!

I'm LOVING this April Fools' prank CN's offering. Yeah, I've known about it for a couple of weeks, but Cow and Chicken brings me back to my college days. Loving it.

It's almost 5 PM, and it's still going.
And now, the credits.
And, it's Johnny Test.

If you have the West Coast Feed, Cow And Chicken will last until 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.

And, it's really Johnny Test.

A good AFD joke that reminded me a little of the old days. Had it on all day.:)

I was surprised to see that they did actually do this kind of marathon after all. Most people thought that they changed their mind at the last minute. I couldn't see the whole marathon since I do have a paper due and a mid-term tomorrow, but I did enjoy the shorts that I did see in the morning and early afternoon. I did like watching this show when I was little and it was nice to know that I still overall enjoy it now too. I also agree that this was a nice move on CN's part.

This marathon was really great. It was funny how they said coming up next its chowder but it was really Cow and Chicken all day. Cow and Chicken is one of my favorite TV shows and I was able to record the afternoon episodes while was at school. I hope it can hopefully get a timeslot on cartoon network.

Funny thing is, that's what I thought CN was going to do yesterday; run a marathon of Out of Jimmy's Head on April Fool's Day as a sign of their upcoming live action block and the ultimate "Screw you!" gesture to it's fans, but instead, they bust out with 1 of their old Cartoon-Cartoons, Cow & Chicken. Well played, CN.

Those weren't risky, those were good moves. Both did well and I expected both to do well (although the LT marathon wasn't as well as I expected). It would be risky if they showed an unpopular marathon like say, Mike, Lu & Og all day.
