I don't know if anyone is interested but on this e-card maker on the Philippines Cartoon Network website, if you click "START", then "Characters," you can see some new Season 2 official art of Chowder, Mung and the gang!

Some of them look the same (like the snail one), but if you compare the Season 1 pic to the one in the e-card maker, you can see the difference.

For example, here's a pic of the Season One Mung and the pic from the e-card maker:

And of course for even more changes, look at the designs in the pilot episode.
I know C.H. had the designs changed in order to make the animation look more good. He complained, for instance, that the characters came out too (http://nerdarmada.blogspot.com/2007/08/chowder-design-evolution.html) stiff (http://nerdarmada.blogspot.com/2007/08/mung-design-evolution.html) in the early episodes.
Some of the design changes started appearing in the tail-end of season 1, around the time Lynne Naylor took over as the show's art director.
Truffles didn't seem to get any major design changes, though.
True that. It's a shame we won't see any official art from those designs.

Without putting these two side by side, I never would have noticed the difference.
I find it interesting how Chowder has officially replaced Bloo as CN's overseas mascot.

Good eye, I wouldn't have noticed that! But I do like the design changes, the larger eyes are a good touch. o:

I did notice the slight differences in everyone's designs (except Truffles). Mung, Chowder and Schnitzel's eyes are all slightly bigger. Schnitzel, otherwise, seems virtually unchanged. The characters with the most changes is Mung. Notably, his eyes and ears are bigger, the bump on his nose is wider and less scrunched up, and his neck sticks out from his body more.

And get this: Chowder didn't even premiere there yet. I'm surprised they didn't use Ben 10.

Gorgonzola probably had the biggest change.
The image below is from the original version of the pilot, shown at CN Upfront (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/promos/upfront/). When the episode aired, they had the bit replaced to show Gorgonzola the way we're familiar with (and when Chowder ran by in the updated scene he was drawn in a new design).

Woah, I didn't even notice that the first time I saw it.

There is a differenece between season 1 mung, and season 2 mung.
it's just the glasses on the side are black on season 2, and mung has lined sides on mung's glasses.
